Today I came across an article in New York Times - 'From Iran's Fiery Leader, a Slightly Tamer Blog' that informed the readers about the blog maintained by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran. Was really surprised on hearing that.If the fiery leader of Iran could maintain a blog, what prevents any of our Indian political leaders to do the same thing? This is a off-topic post, which I wish to share with all the readers Today is 2nd October which most of the peoples celebrate as Holiday and many hates becuase of a dry-day, Yes today is the Gandhi Jayanti. First thing I have done today morning to read news paper which was short of any good news and a lot of posters of Gandh Ji whith almost all the Goverments department putting a almost half page colour page advertisement which was showing their love for the Great Man. There were pictures of more than 50 differnt peoples whom I have never seen or read about neither I am interested to. Question comes to my mind that is this the only way we remember Gandhi Ji? Just puting his picture with their own? What no one noticed is that how much money Goverment have given for these advertisements, no one is interested in that. But I felt really bad thinkng of all the departments are giving their seperate advertiment.I Hate politicians!!
First of all, I am happy that 2nd October-the birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, is going to be International Non-Violence day. Gandhiji who is also the father of the nation of India, was a remarkeble but often lawyer, philopher, visionory, liberal, politician, leader, freedom fighter, sage all in one from the pious land of India in case you live under a rock and don't know about him. It is naturally a public holiday through out India, and sadly, to most Indians, this is all Gandhi Jayanti means, a public holiday.
