Die USA und die Europäische Union wollen bei Ihren Satelliten-Ortungssystemen GPS (USA) und Galileo (von der EU geplant) zusammen arbeiten: Beide Systeme sollen die gleiche Frequenz nutzen. Das heisst: Künftige Navigationsgeräte sollen Satellitensignale kombinieren können. Es droht also kein Krieg der Standards. Secondo alcune indiscrezioni che arrivano da oltre oceano sembra che Garmin, dopo la serie Gpsmap e Rino, si appresti a rinnovare anche la famiglia Etrex con l’introduzione di un chipset gps ad alta sensibilità. A tal proposito però non sembra certo l’utilizzo dell’ormai collaudato SirfStar III, ma potrebbe essere invece un’altro chipset. Ne sapremo sicuramente di più dopo l’estate visto che questi nuovi modelli (Vista HCx, Legend HCx, Venture HC, Summit HC) verranno messi in commercio in autunno in Usa. (more…)

No hay independencia sicológica, social o incluso afectiva si no hay independencia económica. Al menos, eso parecen haber aprendido la mayoría de mujeres después de siglos de sometimiento. Algo parecido sucede a escala planetaria y en términos políticos o tecnológicos. No hay verdadero desarrollo de un país mientras se está tutelado por otro país, y quien dice país se refiere igualmente a continente, zona o bloque. En algunos aspectos, Europa es una provincia o un satélite de EEUU. Tiene en su contra que es un proyecto todavía en construcción, que lleva décadas de retraso en I+D y que se mueve entre una mezquina dependencia o un demagógico rechazo a EEUU.
