It is most likely going to happen. But a video was found that shows Super Mario Galaxy gameplay footage with a couple DSs playing it, and Luigi being a playable character. It seems logical, but the video is most likely a fake. Either way, how could Nintendo not put (acording to many reviewers) the greatest game ever on their portable gaming system. In my perambulations around the Web the other day I discovered a very geeky site, that I have since used quite a bit, called Galaxy Zoo. Astronomers have taken over a million pictures of galaxies in space - and now they need to categorise them. Currently, the only way that we can categorise galaxies is by having a person look at a picture of a galaxy and then decide whether it’s an elliptical or spiral shape. It turns out that computers can’t really do this job very well at all, so what a group of astronomers have done is provide the Galaxy Zoo website, where anybody can categorise galaxies after a quick ten minute tutorial. The thing about pictures of galaxies is that some of them are quite spectacular; hence the site can be quite addictive. It’s very cool to be part of a real astronomy science project too. Super Mario Galaxy is the absolute shit. A masterclass in platforming. A long love letter to all Super Mario fans across the globe. So much is right about this game it's unreal. Nintendo approached this game as though Super Mario Sunshine didn't exist. It's almost difficult to imagine that the same team that brought us that water spraying, holiday themed bullshit actually managed to deliver a game that is out of this world...literally, with all puns intended.Many cite Super Mario 64 as the best 3D platformer ever. Whilst I wasn't a huge fan of the game (I found it quite boring to be honest), there's no denying that it had a major impact on 3D platformers and that every game that came after had tried to mimic it and just plain rip it off in some cases. I'm on holiday at the moment so I've had more time to get stuck into Super Mario Galaxy.I'm still enjoying it immensely - Nintendo has definitely captured the feel of Mario 64.The 2nd player mode is cool, I've had my 3 year old join in for a couple of minutes at a time. She almost has the hang of pointing the remote to pick up stuff - but it doesn't quite engage her yet. However she keeps coming back to try, so I'm hoping she'll get the hang of it.I've waited a long time to be able to play games with my kids, and what a great time to be playing!Another game I'm playing is Smarty Pants, which is a quiz game like Buzz, but for the Wii. Word on the street is that Nintendo of Europe has a Super Mario Galaxy Wii bundle in the wings. This according to an unnamed UK distributor who started the tubes buzzing with reports that the Nintendo Wii bundle will include Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports as well as a Nintendo carry bag. If the rumour is to be believed, the bundle will be heading exclusively to Europe.With Wii Sports as the pack-in game since launch, it is possible that Nintendo are looking to shake things up a bit with the Wii's first European birthday just around the corner. However, the recent release of Super Mario Galaxy to critical acclaim around the world coupled with the Wii still selling really well and stock availability issues still hounding Nintendo, I think this bundle could well turn out to be just a rumour.Although with the European Nintendo website currently under renovation, what better way to launch than with a new bundle announcement?
