As a 78 year-old man, there is sympathy in my heart for the struggles of John McCain along the campaign trail where time after time he utters incomprehensible comments due to either fatigue or the effects of age. Recently, in a speech in western Pennsylvania, he told the audience, that Obama’s “supporters have been saying [...]
One of the advantages WTSC has in target shooting is that between Matt and Geoff, we have a wealth of knowlege and experience in the sport available right there on the range. A sort of support network I suppose. We’re not there yet with the archery and we’re working as hard as we can on [...]
Thinkprogress.org is reporting on the latest case where CBS news cut part of the interview, to take out the gaffe that he made. This time the gaffe is that McCain said that Iraq is the first major combat since 9/11. Apparently Afghanistan wasn't any combat. That will be news to the families of the soldiers that were killed or wounded there.
And he says that press loves Obama more than him...

Imagine that John McCain named a young running mate to campaign with him, and this national rookie suggested America had 58 states, repeatedly used the wrong names for the cities he was visiting, and honored a Memorial Day crowd by acknowledging the “fallen heroes” who were present, somehow alive and standing in the audience. How [...]

Shocking Fox News video: Guest chuckles over killing Osama, Obama
Does this Fox News contributor, Liz Trotta, really suggest what it sounds like she suggests — the assassination of both Osama bin Laden and Barack Obama? And then laughs!
Where is the outrage? And the apology?
(UPDATE: [...]
All it takes is one gaffe to taint a Republican for life. The political establishment never let Dan Quayle live down his fateful misspelling of "potatoe." But what about Barack Obama? The guy's a perpetual gaffe machine. Let us count the ways, large and small, that his tongue has betrayed him throughout the campaign.

ABC News has an interesting piece out today detailing Barack Obama's "evolving" foreign policy stances, where he said one thing, then he changed it, then he changed it again.

Rome — US President George W. Bush drew gasps at the Vatican yesterday by referring to Pope Benedict XVI as “sir” instead of the expected “His Holiness,” pool reporters said.

verb
1 [ trans. ] use or expend carelessly, extravagantly, or to no purpose
I wish that instead of immediately back-peddaling from using this term, someone would argue the fact that this is exactly what has happened. Careless is exactly what this war has been.
We came to Iraq with virtually no exit strategy and we thought that once we toppled Saddam, the Iraqis would immediately be on our side. We thought we would be greeted as liberators. Sure, there are a lot of them on our side, but we grossly underestimated the power of those who aren’t.
And the last phrase in that definition, “to no purpose.” I would venture to say that most Americans you talked t
