      A Frosted Heart
It’s not important, But it’s impaling, A frosted surface; A slow unveiling. It thaws today, It overflows, It drops a leaf; A dying rose. I’m not too shy, A voice unheard, I speak in tongues; Vacuous words, Softer still Than morning’s breeze, But stings the tips And starts to freeze. He’s not unkind, Nor trying hard, But words can bruise And cuts are scarred, It’

      Kellog's Frosted Flakes Gold
I am a cold cereal junkie. Before I started eating oatmeal every single fricken day for breakfast I would have cold cereal most mornings. Nowadays it's not unusual for me to have a bowl of cereal for lunch or for a night time snack. When I was in the hospital for a week with a collapsed lung (I am the only person in history of the world to get a collapsed lung while sitting on couch and watching TV

      Weekend Review: Frosted Flakes Gold
I received a box of Frosted Flakes Gold from Mom Central/Kellogg’s. The BG was so excited when he came home and saw them - apparently he was allowed sugar cereal as a child and these brought back good memories. As always, before feeding them to Primo I read the the ingredient listing and [...]

FROSTED STRAWBERRY ORANGE CHOCOLATE-CHIP CUPCAKES...Strawberry fields forever!
"Find something you're passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it." Julia Child Frosted Strawberry Orange Chocolate-chips Cupcakes...merging flavours! I was making mini vanilla cupcakes for a friend's daughters' birthday the other day,& had some batter leftover. With Arfi's Cupcake Spectacular 2008 on my mind, I scrabbled around in the fridge looking for something different I could put together...other than a regular vanilla muffin. AHA...found 4 strawberries which were crying out to be used! Further exploration revealed some oranges too, so I set to work. These cupcakes were flavoured beautifully & made luscious little bites...good enough for dessert too; can't go wrong with strawberry, orange & chocolate! Topped them off with a strawberry buttercream & a cho

The Holiday Gala: A Frosted Formal
The Gala was wonderful. Cristina kept calling me every few minutes to see if I was ready, and half the time, I was in the middle of doing something. I almost burnt my hair because I was trying to get to the phone. Rob took forever to get to the buses. Cristina was calling him and grumpy until he showed up out of know where and freaked us out. The bus ride sucked. There were these two couples in the back making all kinds of noise and being stupid. Cristina was wearing a blue and black dress for the Gala, and I picked an all black dress. So we walk in, and there are two lines, one for under 21 and 21 and up so they could get a band for drinks. The food was ok, not the greatest, but it sure beat the food in the caf so it was all good. The didn’t start until the band started playing. I had met this guy named Matt before we were allowed inside the hall, and he comes up to me soon as the second song starts and informs me that I owed him a dance. Dancing all night with my sisters, my f

      Looking through frosted glass
I went out last night, not for any particular reason...But I did finish my last night shift at 7am & figured I deserved a little time to celebrate - alone. So with a few drinks behind me I headed to the local meat market (pub) and sat quietly by myself with drink in hand & that's when I started to watch (intensely) those around me & those beyond...I saw 'twinks' fussing over there colourful cocktails, hair sheered to perfection, clothed in a style that could only be worn by them...Custom made perhaps! It was all about image...about who would notice...who would see how much time and effort went into 'the image'...Then there were the older, more 'sedate' dressed individuals, those that no longer spent countless hours in the bathroom, yet still managed to hold on to some appeal...There was lust in their eyes...a sole purpose in mind..."Who looked good enough to take home to bed?".... but more importantly who would stay there...The gay scene really is a meat market, no matter wh
