This dish is not hard to prepare and I will confirm plus chop the one whom you cook it for will love you even more after tasting it. I used to spend lots of time just to figure out how to make every single grain of rice appear golden and although to date I still can't achieve 100% but at least 95% I believe is good enough.Anyway this is how you prepare this dish...Stuff you need:- 2 Eggs (mixed)- 2 plates of over-night rice- 2 small pieces of garlic (chopped)- 2 small pieces of onions (chopped)- 3 tablespoon of light soy sauce- 2 pieces of Hot-Dogs (Slices)- Some salt for taste- Some red chili for garnish the dishHow to prepare it:- Heat the wok/pan with some oil and put in the garlic and onions till they are slightly golden brown.- Add in the rice and mix around till you get a nice garlic

      Korean Fried Chicken!
My loan situation isn't getting better, though I am allowed to defer it for about 6 months right now. I went to this place to fax the paperwork there, it cost me $2 per sheet. Needless to say I only sent one sheet through. The guy seemed uber confused, I wonder if it went through, but then he gave me like 3 confirmation sheets, now i'm wondering if he dialed the right number. sigh. gotta check up on that. anyways after i went to rite aid to get some more pringles they were on sale for 99 cents. Hmmm Pringles...as I was walking there I saw this banner. Funny. god is still talking. too bad no one hears him.Went to rite aid and searched for pringles. i got some and then as i walked out of the door, i was like you know what? the korean fried chicken place is around here, it can't be that far,

Dum Ki Arbi ~ Fried Arbi in a rich Gravy!
I have a long time love affair. I know this might sound very strang. Even eccentric. Yet its true, I am talking about my affinity towards the humble tuber, the Arbi. We call it Samagadda in telugu. You may call it, by whatever name you may want. But it pulls my heart in many ways. Do I sound strange? Thank you! I can't hide my love for long, right. I have cooked it many times in almost the same type. Like a deep fried one or a shallow fried one. This does has a thing about getting fried in oil. The taro pieces selflessly scarifies itself in the piping oil to please our palate.Though this is quite a common vegetable, if I may call it a vegetable, at home, today is the first time, I have actually tried to learn more about this tuber. While I was reading about it, it was interesting to note t

      Fried Fish (Fish and Chips!)
One of my favorite foods is fish... seafood. Almost any kind - oysters, crab, lobster, catfish, shrimp, salmon; name almost any seafood and I probably love it. My husband doesn't share my affinity for 'fishy fish' so going to Long John Silvers (which I LOVE) is something he won't do with me and since I'm not crazy about going out on a date by myself I get to go to Long John Silver's about once a year. Let me pause a moment and be sad about that. Sigh. OK! So... if you are like me and crave batter fried fish once in a while, or have a little bit of "London" in your blood and crave fish n' chips... here you go. I have another recipe for batter fried fish as well that tastes almost exactly like Long Johns. Yummmmm I may have to post that one this week too!Fried Fish 2/3 C Self-ris

      Bogalusa Dave's Chicken Fried Steak
Bogalusa Dave was this rascal of a guy who used to frequent Big Daddy's, a restaurant I ownded in Long Island back in the 90's. Hailing from Bogalusa, Louisiana, Dave was in the environmental business-- making landfills conform to state standards or sumpin like that.  The only problem he had being on the road was the food.  "Kiss my Granma's whiskers!  Where d'you get a good meal 'round heah?"  For Dave, one of the dishes that would create an intense longing for home was chicken fried steak.  We would have this brief conversational exchange every time he showed his face in my place:  "Say, you ever make chicken fried steak 'round heah?"  "Not really Dave."  After this went on and on for quit

Fried Cornmeal Shrimp with Butternut Squash Risotto
I enjoyed getting a little silly with this dish. I had blue cornmeal on hand, and I just couldn't resist the idea of crusting my little shrimps with it. I think the contrast between the shrimp and the risotto is lovely, too.Happy First Day of Spring, btw. The weather here is more than a bit crazy. I feel like we're going to get blown away at any minute, the wind is so wicked. It was one of those mornings that had me not wanting to get out of our nice warm cozy bed. I even got back in a few times... got up, fed the cats, got back into bed. Got up, started the shower, got back into bed. I stayed in as long as I could... but we have bills to pay, so off to work I went. Sad. :)This dish would be perfect for a windy, chilly day like today, because you'll need to hover over the stove stirring t
