Oh my gosh, guys. I've been at school for the past week to help with the orientation of the new students. That includes freshmen and transfer students. It's been a crazy week of planning,, meetings, running around, and pretending to like some certain person who happened to be my awful roommate from last year.
So..with 5 days of no sleep under my belt, I got up bright and early yes
I have been getting a bunch of emails from new freshmen and their parents. It’s awsome! I love it.
For those of you who are curious about greek life, it is amazing. I love my sisters so much, and the frat boys are a ton of fun to hang out with. I am still sad that [...]
Advise that will save you, fill out ALL your paperwork BEFORE you get to lynn and then check at least 3 times over one week to make sure that Lynn has all your paperwork. Now if mom and dad seem crazy embrassing by calling the school to see if your paperwork is in, don’t roll [...]
I had lunch today with a friend who caught me up on how various college freshmen we both know are doing in their first year in college. As I listened to the reports, I started thinking that perhaps part of the problem with college freshmen is that their expectations are too high. They are so happy to have left behind high school -- and in many cases, their families and hometowns, that they expect a kind of paradise. Unfortunately this paradise often comes with such “hardships” as doing your own laundry for the first time, having to set your own alarm clock because Mom doesn’t wake you up, and dealing with a filthy bathroom if you have a messy roommate or suitemates. Even the college freshmen who aren’t homesick often find that their imagined paradise is simply a diff
When you are just into cigar smoking for the first few times, you must avoid smoking those strong-flavored cigars for you are not yet used to them and it may just cause you effects that you do not want handling. We would be very glad to help you get to know what the five cigars that could suit you. These are not that strong for you but not to bland that you would not enjoy the smoking time at all. Well generally, beginners must really settle for what is light or mid-strong when it comes to cigars. • Flor de oliva torpedoThis is a cigar from the Oliva family, who is well-known in the cigar industry for years. This produces a mild to medium mild taste with a dash of sweetness. A stick of it would cost you a dollar and fifty cents. As its medium component, it is made of Nicaraguan filler. Y

You’ve made it to college. Congratulations! The first year is exciting. You meet new friends, join campus groups, get involved in great activities, and party! And after all is said and done, freshman year is over, and you’re ten, fifteen, twenty pounds heavier; and it’s definitely not muscle. How did [...]
The Naked Roommate: And 107 Other Issues You Might Run Into in College.
Ok so I might have stole this idea from one of my fellow bloggers, but I thought she had a good point about bringing it up. Rob has this book in his room and he is always glad to inform me that it has useful information. Maybe I should borrow his copy for a day or two? I’m now a little more interested in it, its not just one of the random books left in a corner.
I remember reading a book about two years ago called Dorm Sweet Dorm which was pretty good. There are a lot of great books out there that gives future college students a helpful hand. I read as much as I could about college before I got here, although, there is nothing like living it!
Freshmen 101 tip: Grab a book! They come in handy every once in a while. Learn how to deal with crazy roomates, messy bathrooms, professors who think that they are your only class, friends and sleep. College is a lot of fun, but it’s not always easy.
