A crapware-free Vaio TZ2000 would cost some extra $50Sony has just introduced a new service in its portfolio, called Fresh Start, that allows users opt-out the bundled software applications that ship with its mobile computers. Usually known as "bloatware" or "crapware", the inclusion of additional, useless software leads to unexpected failures or even renders the system frozen.Sony's Fresh Start program removes both VAIO-specific programs as well as games and other trial software, that the company is pre-installing on the Vaio series of notebooks. According to the company, the practice is meant to "free up valuable hard drive space and conserve memory and processing power" and takes place even before the systems leave the manufacturing unit. The new service is billed as a software optimizat
On the back of Jason sending me a snap of the dozers moving in on the old Leighton Centre (top of Frank Webb Avenue/Rolls Avenue) I thought I'd revisit the area that is soon to be transformed into an (I believe) old folks' village, with all manner of facilities to enrich lives etc. Although there's a six foot wooden barrier encircling the development area, I managed to slip the lens through a suitable gap to grab some action. Then, taking a shuffle back down FWA, I snapped the blank canvas that is just asking to be given a coat of paint. Personally, I'd have timed it all to allow local artists and school kids to adorn the boards with murals various. Instead, I suspect that the local artists will soon be at work... !

We live in a fast paced life and it is inevitable that we may find it hard to prepare some healthy meals. I’m on of them. Personally, to start the day, I would want nothing but a fresh fruit salad. Fruits contain more vitamins than vegetables and they are packed with nutrients that can givce you energy for the day. Here is a simple Tropical Fruit Salad with Lime taken from http://www.chefs.com, a wonderful resource site to find your recipe - from healthy salads to a healthy recipe for the heart…etc.

2 oz. guava halves

2 tsps. lime juice

Jamal Lewis is still only 27, but he has seven years worth of NFL experience, playing very well as this video below shows.
Lewis is now with the NFL team, Cleveland Browns he says he feels young again and he is ready for a fresh start.
Lewis demonstrated this in training, playing very well and looking like he has running very fast again.
“He’s going to be our best defensive player,” says linebacker Andra Davis, Lewis’ best friend on the team. “He’s going to keep us off the field.”
Lewis is one of only 5 players in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season.
Do you think Lewis will be a good for the Browns and the NFL?

My thoughts on Henry’s transfer to Barcelona
When I was woken to news of Thierry Henry’s exit via phone call from a friend early on Saturday morning (in Australian time) I admitted in a previous post that my first reaction was one of absolute shock. I didn’t for a second believe any of the media speculation and whenever friends of mine or readers of the Arsenal FC Blog questioned me about the possibility of Henry leaving I would always reply that I was certain that the Frenchman would stay.
I am an Arsenal supporter through and through and whilst no player is ever more important than the club the fact is, being a supporter of the club for only ten years, I have never really known an Arsenal side without Henry. Additionally, after Henry’s proclamation that the contract he signed a season ago would be his last, I was not expecting to face life at Arsenal without Henry so soon.
It has taken me a full two days to comprehend the reasons for Henry’s departure
MSNBC/Newsweek story link Uganda: Child Soldiers Fight for Fresh Start As Ugandas peace talks stutter along, children forced to fight for a messianic militia are trying to rebuild their broken lives.WEB EXCLUSIVEBy Andrew EhrenkranzNewsweekUpdated: 3:48 p.m. PT May 16, 2007May 16, 2007 - Some of the children have yet to reach puberty. But they are fluent in rattling off the acronyms of war (RPG, LMG, SAM, SMG) and explaining just how these weapons work. Ranging in age from 7 to 18, they acquired their grim expertise as a result of being kidnapped and forced to serve as soldiers and sex slaves for the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in northern Uganda. Still, says a social worker who identifies himself only as Tom, these are the lucky ones. The children are among the few who have managed to escape captivity and seek a new start at rehabilitation clinics like this one, the Rachele Center, in the northern town of Lira. The war they were forced to fight in is complex, political, tribal and
He walked out on his wife and kids one Sunday morning before summer had properly set in. There was no "other' woman or man involved in this decision. He had simply tired of family ties and adult responsibilities. He prepared for his children's future for months before he made the move. He ensured that his wife had the necessary money available to cover the months it would take for her to adjust and find her feet. He cleared out his bank account and left for cooler climes from where he could begin a new life.
He had made the decision after a particularly bad day at work. He had ceased to enjoy what he did years ago. He had stayed on because the periodic raise made it seem like a bad idea to give up the steady arrival of a comfortable sum of money. But it also made little sense to him that a boss who was his superior merely because he spent a larger portion of his life working for the company was allowed to make him feel the way he did that day. He also failed that day to justify
