For the past couple of days I've been having strange issues with Vista on iMac. Namely, if I leave the computer alone for 5 minutes, it would go to a blank screen (all black) and never come out of it until I restart. This was annoying the living hell out of me... I disabled the Dream Scene package and now it all works like a charm. Also, with the Dream Scene out - I do not get the random Windows Manager restarts due to some video driver failures. So, if you are having some issues - try getting the Dream Scene out. It sucks without it, but what can one do? I rather have a stable system than 5 minutes of pretty animated desktop :) P.S. - Scratch out where I said Dream Scene works in last post. :)

There are a couple of ways to store breast milk. One of those is to use the breast milk storage bags you can find in the grocery store on the baby isle and another is to use ice cube trays. 1st you have to line the ice cube tray with cellophane. You HAVE to do this, otherwise the breast milk will stick to the tray. I did not use cellophane the 1st time around and wasted 12 ounces of milk. YIKES! Lay the cellophane on top and push into the holes. Don't worry about it laying perfectly in the holes. When you pour the milk in, the cellophane shapes to the ice cube tray. After the milk has frozen, take the frozen cubes and put in a freezer ziplock bag and store until needed. Each cube is approximately 1 ounce. This method allows you to have more control over the amount you defrost. You can store them 1 ounce at a time in a breast milk storage bag, but that can get expensive after a while. Try it out and let me know what you think!

This absolutely blows my mind! What exactly goes through a person’s mind when they do something this ignorant? Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to sit here on my high horse (which is actually not that high because I’m pretty short in the first place) and say I’ve never left my child sleeping in the car while I run in for something before. But I am going to point out that I never leave my child UNLESS he’s sleeping, I ALWAYS leave the heater or air conditioner on, I NEVER leave him if I’m going to be out of the car for more than 5 minutes or if the car will be out of my sight, and I ALWAYS lock the car from the outside so that no one can steal my child or my car.
In this particular case, the woman apparently left her children in the car while she went into a tanning salon to tan. The kids were left in the car for about 20 minutes, in freezing temperatures, and the car was locked but not left running = no heat. You
Just so you know, the weather here has been FREEZING!!! I'm not kidding, at night it has dropped down to 28 degrees. We have actually put heat on!!! My parents were here for a week and had on long sleeves and pants the whole week, so much to coming to CA for a warm vacation. We went shopping in La Jolla, went to Point Loma, very pretty. Then we went to Hard Rock for Lunch. Another day we went to the local winery for lunch. It is honestly the best lunch I have ever had.
