We freeze a lot of food. It's always nice to have some lunch just a nuke away in case we're not in the mood for cooking. But if you freeze for instance ground meat in pound batches it's not easy to get just the amount you need. On the Slashfood blog we find this tip (and they have found it on Lunch in a Box). It appears to be a Japanese idea (the Japanese seem to be very clever, indeed) and it's very simple. Just fill a plastic bag with ground beef (also works with thick sauce) flatten it to get the air out and pre-shape breaking lines before freezing. A lot like chocolate bars. We like.

Ok we have all been there and done this am I correct?Things are moving along and then bam you're stuck and about punch a hole in your monitor. This is most likely cause by getting to click happy if you don't have the memory or ram to do so mucho clicking. What do I mean? I mean that when you click to start a program and it doesn't respond as quickly as you like , you click it again, which is going to slow it down more, als while doing this your demanding a certain amount of ram to do this and if its not there, your computer will freeze or crash. A new Bush Mortgage Plan will freeze certain sub-prime interest rates for 5 years will be announced on Thursday.  This new plan will apply to owner occupied homes and not to speculators and aimed at homeowners who have been making their payments but who can't afford the reset amounts.  Payments on 2 million loans could have reset by 30%.  The news today on the meltdown gone to a FREEZE....If I heard this right, the next plan to help our foreclosure problem is focused on the loans made between 2005 and June of this year (lets call it the 30 months), and I am sure there will be criteria for those that fall into this time period, once they are weeded out, they will FREEZE the interest rate (ARM will not increase) for 5 years = (lets call it the 60 months).So the formula is 30 / 60................. now FREEZE.Yep, but what about all the others that are in foreclosure? The ones that are looking to be out in the cold during these winter months (which is most parts of the country will be a FREEZing time).  What about the other owners that don't fall within this timeframe?  And the big question is ..... will this even help stop the foreclosures or will it just prolong this meltdown for a few more years in the long run?I know winter is almost here, and I wonder if the FREEZE is going to help th

From time to time FIA comes with some super smart cost saving idea. One that they planned to sneak into the new Concorde Agreement were the customer cars. FIA sold this idea as a sure thing. Super Aguri and Toro Rosso seem to have also counted on the customer car era and did nothing to develop their own cars. It seems that the FIA have proposed a 10 year freeze on engine designs to start from 2008. Now I can see the point in trying to make the sport ‘greener’ and ‘cheaper’, however this is F1. If a large manufacturer has 500million to spend in a season, HE IS GOING TO, most of the smaller teams will benefit from engine advancements, as they run manufacturers engines anyhow, so where is the problem? The system works fine in other sports like MotoGP, where teams run engines and even chassis from factory manufacturers, these satellite teams get as much help from the factory teams as the factory teams do themselves, so why not introduce a similar system where the satellite teams are only at worst one pace behind the factory teams, and in some cases in MotoGP they are actually used as development bikes, having the advancements in engine/clutch/exhaust technology first, allowing the factory teams to run safe, while still garnering intelligence on the new parts?
