Free Stock Trades Is A Misnomer
If anyone ever tells you that they offer free stock trades, it is a goddamn lie. $0 stock trades can save you money if it doesn’t change your behavior; specifically, you don’t trade more. Otherwise, it’s a huge bait designed to squeeze even more money out of your pocket.
The $10 trade commission you pay when you buy or sell shares of a stock is just the tip of the iceberg. Below the surface is a huge hidden fee called bid-ask spread, that is, the difference between the price that the broker is willing to sell
Not all Stock Research Sites were created equal. Or were they?… Lets take a look at the five top sites on the internet for doing free stock research and see how they stack up:
Yahoo! Finance - The ‘Grandaddy’ of free stock research. Virtually everyone I know that researches stocks for fun or to invest has used Yahoo at least once.
