We are working so hard and somewhat successfully to acquire wonderful foster homes so we can spread the hard work of caring for rescued Shelties and Collies across many people and many homes.  So now, thanks primarily to the hard work of SRU’s Foster Administrator, Shannon Tew, who is an ace organizer and asks excellent questions, delves deep and comprehensively evaluates foster homes, we have some great foster homes.  (I need a photo of Shannon to share with everyone.) Actress Jodie Fosterr will add the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award to her collection of Oscars, Golden Globes and other awards, next Tuesday. Caramel Bella, Tameka Foster and husband, R&B singer, Usher had their baby at 9:30 p.m. on Monday night in an Atlanta hospital. Their publicist confirmed the birth but not the sex of the baby. Just was looking through old pictures of all the rescue dogs we have had through our house. And I had to write that these dogs, every single last one of them, are not ‘Just a Foster Dog’. Instead, they became, for much too short a time, a part of our lives and our home and our hearts. We have gotten to know each of them intimately, and each of them are individual, amazing, beautiful spirits. They are all unique, they all have a story to tell, and they all took a piece of my heart with them when they went to their forever homes. But as I keep having chunks of my heart taken away, for some reason, with each bit that goes, I am more full, and more whole. And I feel as though I am living in love.

Social services officials told Vincent Matherick, 65, and his wife, Pauline, 61, that they had to abide by new laws requiring them to treat homosexuality and heterosexuality equally, which could include taking children to gay support groups if they inquired about homosexuality.
