      E3 Brings Forth Price Cuts!
E3 isn't here quite yet, but talks of price cuts are already out, buzzing all over the net. When asked by Nomura Asia Euity forum, Nobuyuki Oneda (Sony CFO) denied such plans by Sony, by stating, "Our strategy is not to sell more quantity for PS3 but to concentrate on profitability."Which indeed has helped Sony's gaming division by reducing loss in the last fiscal year by over $900Million, to $1.1

Happy Forth of July, I AM AN AMERICAN!
I love celebrating the birth of this nation that I have been so very blessed to grow up and live in. Times seem trying right now, but I have faith and I know this country and its people will and can triumph over any storm (metaphorically speaking since this is a weather blog) we experience. Today [...]

Most of the country looks pretty good this Forht of July as America celebrates two hundred thirty-two years of independence. In the Pacafic Northwest things will begin to cooler in parts, but still hot in others and this could spark some showers and thunderstorms. In California, there seems to be no relief from the dry [...]

About all this Obama/McCain back and forth....
I don't expect me to comment on all that crap, at least not too often. The reason is, because sheer stupidity of it all, is about deafening. When Obama comes out with some specifics of HOW exactly he is going to change this country from this stiff veer that it is taking off this Bush-made cliff, then I might have something positive to say about him, but all I ever hear is vagueness, idealism, and

BREAKING: Tori Spelling Bursting Forth Life
Never one to let Jessica Alba steal her thunder, Star magazine is reporting that Tori Spelling has been taken to the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. for her scheduled C-section. The 90210 actress is "bursting with excitement," according to one insider who clearly did not understand what a disgusting image that quote evokes. Back and forth the block, please be true!
Yep, apparently the rumors are true. The New Kids on the Block are about to make their come back. And why not, they're probably asking themselves, Take That did it, Spice Girls did it, hell even Backstreet Boys did it. NKOTB is the quintessential boys band, they were first, and now they want to be the last.As for me, I have nothing against it. Just one condition: they keep the hairdos! There's no way I'll take them back without those 'dos. Ok, I may have been too young to be around the first time, but this year, I better see the dudes on the street giving up their shitious emo hair and do the New Kids. That'll be fun!The one with the bandanna is Marky Mark, isn't he? Oh man, I just can't wait! Too good...

      Back n Forth, Back n Forth…
I’ve been to the new place like…5 or 6 times in the past two days. My purpose is to get all of the little things moved so that when Starving Students gets here on Wednesday, all I have to do is stand around and direct. *what I do best* I have a final tomorrow night, and I think I’m going to be taking a few semesters off from the Certificate program. I have a good 3 years to complete it anyways…*shrug*…why not? Luckily everything at the old place is pretty much…clean, so I dont have to do too much work. Incog will be backing up the rest of the office tomorrow… My goal tonight is to go through all of my clothes and separate out the Salvation Army stuff so that I can drop it off tomorrow after Boot Camp. I went tonight during one of my rounds to the new place, but the truck was already full, so I wasnt able to leave anything, and it’s all still in my car. I’ll just add to it with the clothes I find tonight. Whew…moving is

      Recut Trailer: Blackadder Goes Forth
Rowan Atkinson is easily recognisable. His rubber face, twitching hands and gobbling are his trademarks, but he hasn’t always been Mr. Bean. Is there a way to see through a browser window? I hate having to alt tab back and forth or print to copy data.
I can't give you X-Ray vision. I can't even explain this picture on the left (Freaky Ain't It??). But I do have an answer to seeing through one window to another. If you are like us then you are constantly checking documents and switching between windows. You need to see your data and write your articles in separate windows, Now wouldn't it be peachy keen if you could see through your browser's window - even just a little? That way I could have an Word document or an Excel sheet open behind an editor window and just keep on type, type, typing away. And wouldn't it be awesome if it was free and worked on most Windows machines? Well here we go check out: Glass2k from Chime Software. The project is dead but the software works and does just what I need it to.It allows me to set transparency for any window and the task bar. Run it and right click on your windows Title bar and choose your transparancy in incriments of 10%. Cool app and at a price we like - Free. Any one else have another

Tancredo Puts Forth Dangerously Truthful Campaign Ad
Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo has the guts to tell it like it is about the threat from illegal immigration and Islamic terrorists all in one quick new campaign commercial. As far as I am concerned, this is the closest yet that any candidate for the Presidency has come to actually confronting the greatest and most dire issue of our time: Islamism. Tancredo deserves high praise for this campaign spot, but I guarantee he will get just as much or more negative attention for being so bold, because that is the state of this nation of ours; we are constantly mislead by a Leftist media that is expert at playing ‘See no Evil, hear no Evil’ when it comes to the Islamist agenda. Have a look and judge for yourself: (more…) Similar Posts:Tancredo forms Presidential exploratory committee Why the Democrats shouldn’t win the White House Tancredo’s threat to bomb Muslim holy sites would work for Ender Endorsement for 3rd District Congress Invasion: Mexican drug

      Back and Forth
This seems to be a theme in my life right now. I'm back in Otterburn - the cats at my (wonderful) friends' house were just too much for my immune system - and I'll be here until I leave in 36 days.Which brings me to the other "back and forth" part of my life - moving to London. I keep thinking how things would be so much easier if I just stayed here and then I think that I would regret not going (possibly for the rest of my life)... What's a girl to do? No one can make the decision for me, but sometimes I wish there were someone to just tell me what to do. Not that I'd likely listen to them if there was!So here is a pros and cons list to staying and leaving.Pros to staying:I could set myself up in a nice apartment for WAY less.I would be close to my friends and family.Cons to staying:I would always wonder "what if..."Finding a job in my field is more difficult here.I could get "comfortable" and forget about my dreams of seeing the world.Pros to leaving:I'd get to live in one of t

Halo 3 Third and Forth Missions Unveiled to Media
KIRKLAND, Wash. (CP) - "You can take the Scarab out in many different ways," says Niles Sankey, level designer for "Halo 3."I haven't come close to finding one, however, and the huge alien attack vehicle seems to be stalking me and my soldier sidekick as we race around the battlefield in a two-man Mongoose vehicle.Nearby, other marines exchange gunfire with smaller Covenant vehicles in the shadow of a huge factory complex. In the distance, the fight continues. And above, the battle rages in the air as well, as Earth forces fight for the survival of their planet against the alien Covenant. But frankly it's hard to take it all in, given I'm running for my life.Bungie Studios recently invited a small group of journalists from around the globe to their offices in suburban Seattle for an exclusive taste of "Halo 3"'s single-player mode. It marked the first time the campaign mode had been played by non-Bungie personnel. The Scarab conflict is part of The Storm, the fourth mission of the si

(Random Banger #38) Slum Village - ‘Forth & Back (Rock Music)’
This joint ‘Forth & Back’ has been stuck in my mind all day, this beat is just too ill, and even though J Dilla’s recent work with his experimenting and what not was still dope, none of his new stuff can compare to his late-ninties sound. So what y’all know about that “Fan-Tas-Tic, Vol. 1“? Many don’t, Vol 1. is Slum’s obvious predecessor to their main stream debut album Fantastic, Vol 2. but never got pushed due to bad pub, but is just as classic. Vol 1. was also recently remastered and released last year so you can cop it if interested, you definitely won’t regret it. Related Posts(Random Banger #18) Slum Village - ‘Reunion ft. Young Ones, Go Forth and Speculate
The article below is an interesting one with ideas going against traditional financial advice for people in their 20s....see if you agree with the author :)==================================ByCliff Mason, TheStreet.com Staff ReporterEvery day I read personal finance articles with bad advice that is recycled endlessly. Ordinarily I keep my mouth shut about them, but recently Jonathan Clements over at The Wall Street Journal devoted one of his columns to advice for people in their 20s, and that's my turf. You can read it here if you have a subscription and a pillow handy for the cat-nap it will likely induce.I started foaming at the mouth when Clements suggested that investors in their 20s should put 60% of their money in stocks and 40% in bonds. I got a tic in my right eye when he pooh-poohed the idea of investing heavily in growth stocks while you're young, and I had to spend 15 minutes punching a pillow while I calmed down. This is exactly the kind of one-size-fits-all advice that m

Lindsay asked: Vivien, thanks so much for this detailed explaination. I like how you are discussing the back and forth part. I feel that with charcoal too but never thought about it with oil paint. Oil Pastels can't be worked this way because the lights look muddy on top of the darks. I can't wait to start in oils. You probably did answer something just like this earlier. I was still thinking more along the lines of drawing rather than painting. I am finding painting requires a much different way of thinking. So your information probably zoomed over my head.Few more questions? Are you using black or mixing your darks from complements. Its hard to tell in the winter scape. And are you using a flat brush or rounds or both?Again, many thanks for such an in depth, multi media answer. so .... here goes, I'm answering here because it follows on from the last entry .... I don't use black to darken colours - virtually never ever. I use complements like alizarin crimson with viridian, which gi

Current Players Go Back and Forth on Bonds
All the talk about Barry Bonds and his eventual breaking of Hank Aaron's HR record is only going to get worse as he gets closer - but what is already getting old is players coming out either in defense or taking shots at Bonds. First on Monday we had David Ortiz, who took Bonds' side, saying that people should basically lay off. The words from Ortiz seemed to be somewhat stale, and it almost seemed like he was just trying to defend a fellow ballplayer. Now we have another Red Sox, this time outspoken pitcher Curt Schilling coming out, and he is taking the other side against Bonds. Schilling was on WEEI radio on Tuesday, and took a shot at Barry. "He (Bonds) admitted he used steroids. There's no gray area," Schilling said. "He (Bonds) admitted cheating on his wife, cheating on taxes and cheating on the game." I can only guess that as we get closer to Bonds hitting that eventual homer, more and more players are going to chime in on their thoughts on if Bonds should be hailed as

5fm, Apple, Coca Cola and MINI have launched a podcasting competition with R250 000 of slick prizes like iPods and MacBooks. The grand-prize winner gets to zoot around in a MINI Cooper for two months, and category finalists get VIP tickets to one helluva gig to “soak in the fame and the adoration of your friends when we play the category finalists’ podcasts on the big-screen in front of thousands of thousands of screaming fans”, according to the getpodcasting competition site, which began accepting submissions yesterday. The competition urges one to “Enter now and be part of the next wave of technology sweeping the planet.” A tad gallant, perhaps, but nevertheless it is great to see that podcasting in South Africa is being given such a significant boost. Let the people speak. Too bad the fine print is pretty nasty. It’s probably safe to predict that most people who enter this competition will match the demographics of 5fm’s youth market. Thi

Saturday thousands marched at the Pentagon yesterday and smaller protests gathered in places all over the world. Pentagon marchers were met with angry counter-demonstrators and War veterans gathered at the Vietnam memorial to protect it from acts of vandalism by protestors. There were no acts of vandalism reported. The march began at the Vietnam memorial and proceeded across the Potomac to the Pentagon. At the Pentagon demonstration speakers called for the impeachment of President Bush, Vice President Dick Chaney and denounced congress for not cutting off the funding for the war. PLO and Hamas trade gunfire back and forth, to and fro
It should be clear that a civil war is indeed breaking out between the PLO and Hamas. For starters, a Hamas minister's convoy was attacked: GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Gunmen attacked the convoy of the Palestinian foreign minister and raided a training base for an elite security forces unit Sunday, stepping up factional violence over a decision by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to end nine months of Hamas leadership and call early elections. A 19-year-old woman and a Palestinian security officer were killed in the chaos, while at least 13 people were wounded in gun battles across Gaza City. In one symbolic attack, Abbas' empty residence came under fire. Militants also fired two mortar shells at Abbas' nearby offices. And then, mortar shells were fired at Mahmoud Abbas' office: GAZA (Reuters) - Gunmen fired two mortar bombs at Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's office in Gaza on Sunday, wounding at least five members of his personal guard as tensions with the ruling Hamas moveme

      Going Forth
"We do not write because we want to; we write because we have to." -- W. Somerset Maugham Due to the reintegration on myself back into the working world and out of the rather comfortable realms of unemployment, I will neither be writing because I want to or have to. Possibly an update or two will be sporadically forthcoming, but generally I shall be too damn busy and tired. Working life; it sucks. Wednesday saw me rushing to Eldon Square to purchase work tops, shoes, and black trousers. Who knew it had been so long since having a proper job (two month nanny escapade not included in this category) that I’d long since lost those few vital things? And I swear those trousers have SHRUNK since I last wore them; I have NOT gained that much weight. So tomorrow at the completely unreasonable time of nine am, back into the employed masses go I. For two whole weeks. Strange, I’m sure you’re meant to have jobs for longer than that. Whatever, it’s a fifty hour week, thoug
