Have you heard that the Flyers and Penguins don't like each other? How about the fact that the cities of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia aren't exactly the best of friends? If not, you're in luck, because ESPN.com is leading with yet another story on the topic as we speak. From ESPN's point of view, maybe this will become hockey's version of Yankees-Red Sox? We could then look forward to a Flyer fan burying a Briere jersey in the bowels of the Penguins' new arena, Flyers fans running over Penguin fans with their automobiles, and Dave Molinari turning into the Pittsburgh version of Peter Gammons, all chronicled by the WWL on every form of media possible. OK, maybe such ESPN influence might be a bad idea. But it's been a long time since ANY hockey series has been as hyped as this one. I feel lik

They were also a ten-minute misconduct away from the league lead with 1471 penalty minutes, which is just a little bit more than a whole day in the penalty box.The Penguins have never won a postseason series against the Flyers. But Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Marc-Andre Fleury have never played the Flyers in a postseason series.I’m not sayin’… I’m just sayin’.As the higher seed, the Penguins have home ice advantage, making that final regular season game officially pointless.Motivation: The favor of Ed Rendell? Wow, what an amazing series. Umberger came out of it with 8 goals total for the series, 9 total for the playoffs this year. Alright, let me start from a little earlier. The Canadiens drew first blood for the first time in the series scoring an early goal because once again the Flyers could not stay out of the penalty box early in the game. They showed some stat that the Flyer's had held the lead for something like 168 minutes during the series, pretty crazy. Anyway, Umberger comes back and scores the first Flyers' goal with just an amazing shot, he basically tapped in his own rebound while laid out on the ice sliding past the goal, unbelievable. I found this video linked below at 700level.com.-rj-umberg.htmlUnfortunately, the Canadiens came back and scored another goal to take the lead and

For all the critics of the somewhat controversial deadline deal that cost the Penguins Colby Armstrong, Erik Christensen, Angelo Esposito, and a future #1 draft pick, Hossa's performance today should probably silence any of them who still remained. This year, they find themselves in an incredible position: They're about the enter the Eastern Conference Finals, likely against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Habs-Bruins and Caps-Flyers thoughts, Sharks in trouble
Habs-Bruins Game 7What a game this is going to be. After a thrilling finish to Game 6 and a Bruins win to force this series to 7 games, who really knows what to expect in Game 7. I would say that you won't see what happened in the 3rd period last game to happen in the final game. Both teams should be a little more cautious.A big key to this game may be how composed the Habs will be after brain farting in Game 6. Is Carey Price going to be the difference?Something I really noticed in Game 6 was the asshat play of Alexei Kovalev. I think a really big reason Kovalev did not show up was because Saku Koivu returned from a broken foot for the first time in the series and the spotlight wasn't on the Russian anymore. Think of it this way: Kovalev wore the "c" in Koivu's absence and was a force to

I’m not mentioning any names here, since we all know who we are…. *giggles* Do you recognize this: No flight ever leaves on time unless you are running late and need the delay to make the flight. If you are running late for a flight, it will depart from the farthest gate within the terminal. If you arrive very early for a flight, it inevitably will be delayed. Flights never leave from Gate #1 at any terminal in the world. If you must work on your flight, you will experience turbulence as soon as you touch pen to paper. If you are assigned a middle seat, you can determine who has the seats on the aisle and the window while you are still in the boarding area. Just look for the two largest passengers. Only passengers seated in window seats ever have to get up to go to the lavatory. The crying baby on board your
