Rumor from over at the Bison Media Blog is that the NDSU basketball team is trying schedule a game with the two-time defending champion Florida Gators. This is the word from Steve Hallstrom on his blog. "Nothing finalized as of early this evening (Tuesday) with Florida, but I know there was something to be decided one way or another on Tuesday. Now it appears it will be at least late Wednesday. There's been a lot of speculation about it being a tournament, but the way I'm hearing it it's a game with Florida on November 9th. Could be both, who knows. What a way that would be for the Saul era to begin. First game at FL against the 2 time defending champs."Yes, you heard it. There may possibly be a match up between NDSU and Florida. I mean, with Florida's top players gone, I really think NDSU could pull this off. They upset #13 Wisconsin in 2005 and #9 Marquette this past season. And it's not like Florida will be a top 15 team next year, but you never know with Billy Donovan on the s
With the National Championship game just hours from the tip off, the headlines are just piling in. Can the Gators repeat? Will this be Greg Oden's final collegiate game? Will Billy Donovan leave Florida for the job at Kentucky? If you were to ask ten people who they would take, i'm sure about 9 of them would take the Gators and rightfully so. The Gators and Buckeyes have played once already this year and Florida destroyed OSU, 86-60 back in late December. But it should be noted that when the two teams matched up, Freshman superstar, Greg Oden, was only playing in his 5th game(4th start). So the notation that he was still adjusting to the College game and seeing how Florida was his first "major" competition it's pretty easy to see why he struggled against Florida's Twin Towers, Joakim Noah and Al Horford. But with that said, i'm sure if you ask any of the Buckeye's, including head coach, Thad Matta, they would not make excuses, but simply say the better team won that day.Things ha
The Flordia Gators have officially proclaimed themselves a dynasty. With last years NCAA Men's basketball win against UCLA starting off an incredible Gator journey. Follow that with another Florida win in the NCAA Men's football championship Tostito Bowl, and you have a recipe that would drive any college campus insane. But the Gator appetite was not quite supressed, as they have returned for another win. After dominating the Ohio State Buckeyes in Men's Football, this year they challenge them in Men's basketball. The defending champions will definitly come out to win, but the Buckeyes have a score to settle. No matter the outcome I am sure that Monday nights game is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

No. 2 ranked University of Florida Gators straight destroyed No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes with a score of 41-14, Monday night at the BCS Bowl, which took place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Many predicted that the OSU Buckeyes would wipeout the Gators in last night’s game, and it seemed as if those predicitons would come true as the Buckeyes scored a touchdown in the first 16 seconds of the game. However, Ohio State with it’s Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith could not hold up to the amazing performance of the Gators’ Chris Leak and Tim Tebow. This is the Gators’ second national title, with their first being over Florida State in 1996. The University of Florida’s basketball team also won the national championship last spring by defeating UCLA in Indianapolis.
