      The sincerest form of flattery?
SERIOUSLY?! I just had an entire post written with links to a new seller's cards that are IDENTICAL to mine. She didn't even bother changing the names. On one of them she changed the fonts . . . but that's about it. Plus, even the descriptions are word for word mine on all of her listings. I deleted the links to her shop from this post because I'm not sure linking to her shop is the right

Golden rules of logo design ‘flattery’
I guess you could say my passion is the design of logos. Has been for decades - when I’m not working with a logo, I’m thinking about a logo. If I get bored with designing or working with logos I tend to write about them. A lot. Little featurettes like Some (almost) Golden Rules of [...]

Luke's wife bought a new line of expensive cosmetics guaranteed to make her look years younger. After a lengthy sitting before the mirror applying the "miracle" products she asked, "Darling, honestly what age would you say I am?" Looking over her carefully, Luke replied, "Judging from your skin, twenty; your hair, eighteen; and your figure, twenty-five.""Oh, you flatterer!" she gushed. "Hey, wait

Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery
Has anyone noticed the new ad campaign McDonald’s has been running? You know the one on all the billboards and commercials? I’m talking about the Southern- Style Chicken campaign. McDonald’s has just gone nationwide with two new... Feeling teased? Want more? I thought so. Go to Joeprah.com and become complete.

      Flattery Will... Get Me Nowhere.
Apparently, a few compliments go a long way with me. A long way to making me so cocky I completely slack off! A couple people this week told me I looked thinner to them, so my mind has taken that to mean I can do whatever I want and there's really no need to put on that exercise tape or stop myself from ordering pizza for supper. Sigh. On the upside... I have officially lost 10 pounds, and none

Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery
I believe in the saying that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Usually I don't mind if I am copied. I hope that I am. I think my ideas are good. I teach mostly conceptually which isn't copyrightable anyway. Most people give proper credit, so imitate away!!! It's information that should be shared and makes dancers and teachers stronger. However, it's come to my attention that a dancer has published a book that appears to be a direct rip off of my Belly Dance Certification Program. The contents cover the exact same areas that I have published in the first three chapters of the BDT (which are all that is currently available to the public.) Coincidence? I think not.I have had many things in the belly dance world that I could have sued about. I have been slandered, contracts have been

Is Imitation, or Stealing, the Highest Form of Flattery?
I stumbled upon a website this morning, only to be surprised that 2/3 of the posts were, word for word, my very own from this blog. I really did not know how to respond to it. Flattery? Or just plain Stealing (cut & paste) ? Do drop me your comments...

Immoral? Flattery? Deceiving? not Fair Play.
WWW.ARGUSEUROPE.COM. Hold on a minute that sounds like our website. Who could it possibly be? Who wants to be like us? Strange. When you go onto that website you are re-directed. Guess to where? Of course the Nemesis Group. We think it is funny. But we do not know if our Lawyers are thinking the same, or [...]

Lurking is the Sincerest Form of Flattery
I love lurkers. Their love is pure - they come here and read what I write solely because they want to, expecting nothing in return. And when I manage to pull one of them out of hiding, their comments are especially meaningful (hi Jeannie! Natalie! Marian!). Of course I love you too, regular commenters - but I get a chance to express that when I visit your blogs and leave my own comments. So

Deception Pass to Cape Flattery, Washington - Sept 8-9, 2007
Initially, the family was only going to make a day trip to Oak harbor, Washington to visit friends for the day. However, since the forecast was for nice weather over the weekend, I suggested that we stay over night in a hotel and take the Keystone-Port Townsend ferry over to the Olympic Peninsula the next the morning and do some sight seeing. I suggested Cape Flattery as one possible destination. (more…)

      Flattery
Goodnes me, I feel special. Only one post on this blog, and already folks are searching Google for my name - not bad for a beginner, eh?Hope you liked what you found, Paul! Incidentally, I've always wondered why you make your way to NHS Exposed by searching Google for it. Do you have some difficulty in typing http://www.nhsexposed.com/ into Firefox 2's address bar? Ah well, I guess the thing about carpet is you don't have to think fast to work with it.Meanwhile, there's been a fascinating exchange of views going on at the Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry blog. The comments for the two posts, The Crime of Linking and Comment Wars, are text book examples of how the odd folks over at the MAMA board behave when someone challenges them - vicious, coordinated and so far off the mark as to be hilarious. The old expression "When in darkness and in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout" seems to fit them like a glove :-)Take a tip, guys and girls: understand what you're talking about b

      Flattery, Flirtation and Fun
Inspired by a previous post and motivated by my own need to feel good daily, we created a compliments page. What is this compliments page, you ask? Well, I’ll tell you. At the top you’ll notice a link titled “Compliments.” By navigating here you can chose to receive one (or more) of dozens of accolades whenever you feel. I’m still working to grow the list of the best compliments a man can give a woman, so feel free to keep commenting and let me know your favorite flattering remarks. We’ll expand the compliments page down the road, but for now get to clicking. There is a sexy voice waiting for you. Hope you’re flattered.

      Flattery
For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.Romans 16:18As I have stressed many times before, superlatives, adjectives, or flattery without constructive behavior to support whatever we are promising or perhaps unthinkingly committing ourselves to verbally, we make vows superficially without thinking of the consequences of shallow words only. All the praise and flattery toward the Lord is useless, if we are attempting to bribe or bargain with Him. If we promise Him something and not validate, not only are we committing the sin of omission, but the sin of commission, lying and breaking a covenant, or contract sworn to-I'm almost certain that no one reading has been guilty of this consciously, I pray,; but may have inadvertently slipped into this trap. To those who have used this ploy so long, it has real appeal, also to ones they may wish to impress with many flattering phrases and superlati

      The Height of Flattery
I was very flattered today by reading a story Fed-Up wrote.  The story is Lost in the winter: Inspired from a picture.  Photographs, like art, have the capability to convey feelings and moods.  I take it as the best possible compliment that someone was inspired to write a story based on the feelings emanating from a photograph I took. The photo also happens to be my highest ranked picture yet that I have posted on flickr.  My title for the picture is Park Bench in Winter.  The scene is just past the casino in Delaware Park facing Hoyt Lake.  If anyone would like to order an 8 x 10 print, go here, scroll down to the PayPal button and fill in the name of the photo.  If you would like a larger size you can email me for prices.  The frame is for illustration purposes to show how it will look when framed.  Sponsored By: Images by Mike in WNY Custom Buffalo themed gifts here, personal or business, bulk discounts available

Imitation is the highest form of flattery.
Snuggle Bug is a typical toddler who likes to imitate everything that Oronzo and I do. Normally, this delights us, but I recently learned not always! This past weekend we had some friends over for a visit. The conversation was flowing smoothly, fun was being had by all. Snuggle Bug was cheerfully darting in and out of rooms throughout the house, smiling as he played.Suddenly, Snuggle Bug walked into the room where the adults were conversing, in his newest dress-up outfit!Umm...no, that's not a training bra (barely). Yes, it's mine."Hi Mama!" Snuggle Bug greeted me loudly. His face beamed with pride at the accomplishment of dressing himself in an article of my clothing. As our friends (some of them parents of toddlers as well) chuckled appreciatively and gave me sympathetic glances, I wished the earth would open up and swallow me whole! Oronzo snapped this picture with his camera phone before Snuggle Bug flung off my bra with reckless abandon.I think the time has come to shoo Snuggle Bu
