A Few Words ... Five Questions with Oriole Legend Brooks Robinson...
The blog had the opportunity last year to have a brief chat with Hall of Famer and Oriole legend, Brooks Robinson. Well, I decided to catch up with Brooks a year later and see what he's been up to, plus ask about current issues in the game.Throughout his career, he was known as "The Human Vacuum Cleaner," as he is known until this day as one of the greatest third baseman, much less infielders of all time. Robinson played 23 seasons, all for the Orioles, setting major league career records for games, putouts, assists, chances, double plays and fielding percentage for a third baseman.Though known for this steady glove, he hit 268 career home runs, at one time an American League record for third basemen. Robinson earned the league's MVP Award in 1964 and the World Series MVP in 1970, when he

      1) How’s the baby doing? MUCH better.  The antibiotic kicked in around Saturday afternoon and, save the occasional explosive diaper, he’s back to his normal self. 2) You never mentioned your response to his pediatrician.  What did you say? I was not kind.  And while I won’t repeat it verbatim here, it went along the lines of “You need [...]

Real Estate Agent Training: Five Questions To Ask Your Buyers
A potential buyer is interested in one of your listings and calls to set an appointment to look at it. While you have them on the phone, find out what they are looking for and what interested them about the listing so you can prepare a selection of other properties on the market that may be more to their liking if they reject the one they came to see. Here are five questions you will want to ask in order to narrow down the selection.1. Is this house in your price range? You might think the answer to this would be obvious, but many people like to look at houses that are beyond what they can truly afford in the hope they will find a way to get it anyway. If it is in the correct price range then limit your search to homes from 5% under to 5% over the price of the home.2. What number of bedroo

      Five Questions About Annapolis
With the announcement that Syria will send a delegate to Tuesday’s Israeli-Palestinian conference in Annapolis, the talks are taking on a greater degree of credibility. The dynamic character of events, however, has convinced me that making predictions is foolish. Instead, I’ll simply pose what I see as the five biggest questions looming over the conference: 1. Will the result of the talks be a plan or an agreement? That is, will they, in keeping with the various other plans leaders have laid out (Oslo, the Road Map, etc.) lay out a set of conditions and goals intended to lead to the creation of a Palestinian state some time in the future (and thus minimizing the chances of that event ever occuring), or will they constitute an actual agreement to establish an indepenent, sovereign Palestinian state now? 2. What is the United States’ interest in these talks - improving Bush’s legacy or building peace in the Middle East? As the Iraq Study Group Report suggested, &#

Refinancing? Five Questions to Ask Your Mortgage Lender
The world of mortgage loans is foreign to the majority of us. It's riddled with its own jargon, rules and unique mathematical formulas. To make your visit to this strange planet a beneficial one, arm yourself with knowledge. Even though you've already been through the mortgage process once, it's easy to forget. Here are some questions you'll want to ask when shopping for a new mortgage. Question 1: How much are the closing costs? Closing costs generally total two to five percent of a home's purchase price. They're not part of the down payment, and include such charges as an appraisal fee, credit report fee, title insurance, and prorated property tax. If your first mortgage wasn't obtained too long ago, you may be able to use some documents from your original closing. One thing you'll particularly want to watch out for is points, which are lender's origination fees. You'll receive a Good Faith Estimate well before you close the loan. Be sure to scrutinize it. Five questions about the iPhone, if you're interested !!
Thanks to BusinessWeek 1. WHERE CAN I GET ONE?The iPhone goes on sale at 6 p.m. on June 29 in AT&T (formerly Cingular) stores, Apple outlets, and the Apple.com Web site. If a store is sold out, you can still buy a phone (and select a plan) for later pickup or delivery. Officials at the companies believe it will be available to anyone who wants one by the end of July. Both AT&T and Apple are hiring additional staff to handle the early crush of sales. But as Apple has been training its store and telephone support staff since May to walk customers through the iPhone's many features, you may want to head there first. These folks, after all, will let you play with the gear.2. WHO'S IT FOR?The iPhone is being sold as an all-in-one replacement for your iPod, BlackBerry, and digital camera. Someday it may be just that. But $499 is a lot to spend for only 4 gigabytes of memory. And don't forget the $60 a month you may pay for service and a data plan. Such an expensive dev

Five Questions with Jon Bach, an interview by Michael Hunter (The Braidy Tester)
I met Jon about 3 years ago. It was a funny story, actually. I was at STAREast talking with a bunch of folks at the bar after the last presentation of the day. Some guy came over and introduced himself to the person sitting next to me. I heard his name and I stopped, mid-word, stood up excitedly, started shaking his hand and talking a mile-a- minute... (Scott) "OhMyGod! Jon Bach! I'mSoExcitedToMeetYou! IReadYourBookAnd... I'm sorry, my name is Scott Barber, I've done some work with your brother..."
