I find articles about the post-production of films fascinating, especially ones that had such a low budget. I don't know if I'll get to the film before it disappears in theaters, but I will eventually see it.Being someone who loves what Apple has done with Final Cut Pro and seeing it being used for post by filmmakers like Francis Coppola, Daivd Fincher, and the Coen Brothers adds to my enjoyment of this.

Judge Who Lost Pant Suit Loses JobRoy L. Pearson Jr., the administrative law judge who lost his $54 million lawsuit against a Northeast Washington dry cleaner, lost his job yesterday and was ordered to vacate his office, sources said.
Pearson, 57, who had served as a judge for two years, was up for a 10-year term at the Office of Administrative Hearings, but a judicial committee last week voted against reappointing him.

For anybody’s information Google has launched a contest several weeks back. The google folks asked the people at Youtube to participate in the collaborative video they started. The idea would be to create a video clips with a small mail icon to help imagine how an email message travels around the world. Google will then edit the submissions together to make the final video. The chosen “final video” will then be featured on the Gmail homepage. Isn’t that great? You can find the entries here. Find out what’s the final video.
Last month Google invited all Gmail fans to join the Gmail Collaborative Video project. The idea was to create a 10 second long video that features the Gmail Envelope and shows how an email travels around the world. The project received over 1,100 fantastic clips from Gmail fans from more than 65 countries. The final cut is about two and a half minutes long and features some of the wildest and most creative clips.

I so wanted to be a part of this exciting venture but due to other priorities I missed my chance but that doesn’t end the world here. Google also created a Gmail Clips Map using the Google Maps API to show where most of the clips came from. Here take a look at the Final Cut.
