If Boxing Is Your Favorite Sport DirecTV Has Loads of Hockey Programming For You
By: David Johnson Who doesn't love a good boxing match on TV? Isn't it great when it's a good fight and it is perfumed by two game competitors who are decent enough to follow all the rules of the sport? Nonsense! Everyone knows that the best boxing matches are the ones that break out during ice hockey games and the really good ones involve groups of adrenaline fueled maniacs that refuse to stop as they perform impromptu tooth removal surgery on each other, as the blood thirsty crowd goes nuts. The problem with regular boxing matches is that as soon as they start getting going the damn referee stops all the action and the dolts always follow his instructions, as if they don't even have minds of their own. When a fight breaks out during a hockey game the referee stands away from it, or he mig

      Favorite or Where to Live
We have been renovating our home for quite some time. I don't even want to tell you how long.  Sometimes I think we will just get it done and sell it but lately I have had a new thinking. I love my home and where it is located. I love busy street, the four bedrooms, the family room off the kitchen.  The new floors that will be going in and the new drapes I will be hanging up.  The new furniture, lamps and kitchen I am going to purchase.  This is going to be a showplace but in the meantime I am loving it just the way it is.  I am glad that I have had this long experience with doing our home.  I can appreciate it more and I can help my clients too if they have similar experiences.  In my estimation, there are 2 great streets in Needham that I would love to

      Which is your favorite pants?
If you look around you, you will find that girls nowadays prefer pants than skirts. Why? Pants are more comfortable, you can walk with it, run with it, jump with it, you can do anything with it but with skirts, you have to sit carefully, have to walk slowly, it's just so troublesome. There are a lot of things you can't do if you wear skirts.I have a lot of pants in my cupboard but my favorite one is a black color pants which I bought last year. It has a lot of pockets around it which allows me to carry a lot of things with me. It really makes me feel very comfortable when I'm wearing it. Believe it or not, when I'm wearing that pair of pants, I will feel more energetic. What about you? Do you have a story to share about your favorite pants? I bet there's a lot of you who remember Jane Seymour before she was famous in this made-for-television movie that had little to do with the original book. I mean the general gist of things was the same but it was structured completely different and actually? I think this is a case where the movie was better than the book. Do you have a favorite Movie Song to exercise to?
I’m a big fan of movie music, which I think is an underappreciated art form. Can you imagine what your favorite movie would be like without the music? Thrillers, dramas, horror, or even romantic movies wouldn’t be the same without the background music. Think about the scenes of Jaws, where the shark is attaching without the music: In fact, many movie soundtracks have won Academy Awards, Grammy’s, and have become top-selling records. For today’s blog post, I’ve shared one of my favorite walking movie songs—Speed, one of my favorite action/adventure movies. What is your favorite music that you exercise with? What music keeps you “in the groove?” Find your favorite movie music and add the video into your profile, because After all, it’s about a healthy lifestyle! © Iowa

In high school, I excelled in math and I loved having a teacher that was exciting, fun and a bit cocky. He would make jokes all the time and wear tailored shirts and tight jeans for the girls. At the end of the year, I wrote him a letter, expressing my appreciation for all that he brought to the class . Saturdays Favorite Movie Moment: Turner And Hooch (and sort of a review)
Happy Saturday~ This Saturdays favorite movie moment is from the hilarious film, Turner And Hooch. Turner and Hooch hit theaters in 1989 starring Tom Hanks, Hooch, and Mare Winningham. The film is about the friendship that develops between a Detective and his only witness to a crime- the victims dog- who has the worst manners of any dog in history. Ordinarily, Hooch's lack of obedience training would have been the least of Detective Scott Turners (Hanks character) concerns, except since the murder the two crime fighters are forced to become roommates, although at least they're after the same bad guy. This clip is Turner's way of encouraging Hooch to stay in his "room" at night- because his refusal to do so is causing...well, a few problems in Turner's personal and professional life. It's

I don't know what it is that has made me think sugar this week--it's probably the snow, I can blame a lot of my problems on the snow I've found--but I've been craving the sweet stuff. Luckily Andrew returned safely from his San Francisco trip bearing gifts from Ghirardelli. Oh how he reads my mind . . .Now normally I'm not really a candy person. I mean I can pick up a Snickers bar and snarf it down in no time flat with the best of them but not too often and when I do I'm left wondering why I bothered because it didn't really do it for me. Here, however, are some candies that are a little harder to resist.I'm interested in your favorites--candy can be such a cultural thing and there are some forgotten classics out there that I'd love to sample.1. Truffles. I'm just starting with the o

Favorite Oregon Recipes: Extra-Small Oysters in White Wine
Last week I was driving out to my folks’ house, all dithered because I was running late or something (running late according to my self-imposed schedule, right?) when it occurred to me: what are you so stressed about? You’re self employed, you live in Oregon and you’re taking off in the middle of the week to hang out at the beach. Not a bad life, actually. When I took my leave of my folks’ house, my dad gifted me with a tub of extra-small oysters, my favorite. I really, really wanted some oysters before the end of April, the last “R” month until fall. I prepared a simple recipe for oysters in white wine and made short work of a nice Pinot Gris (some for the pan, some for the chef). Here’s how I made them:Melt 4 T margarine in a shallow pan on medium-high heat. Add some green o

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things
Here she is, my new beauty, much jested at by a few people who shall remain nameless...I think she is beautiful. Just look at her, what a kind expression she has. She will be painted as soon as I am in my new house that has a garage where I can doodle on my car all through the night if I wish, she might be a bit of a homage to Edward Gorey( in the doodle department) Here is a picture of my van, this is where I live. It is on its own in the corner of a field and jolly comfortable. I have even worked out a way of having a bath in the tiny shower basin, involves a bit of contortion but once squeezed into the tiny space, with some bubbles and candle light it is quite a relaxing experience! Coco the wonder dog will be coming home when we move into our new house. She has been enjoying a very goo

A Look Back, A Few Of My Favorite Rock Rigs Of All Time
This one started it all! The Scorpion Mk1, built by Soni Honegger in 1997. It was featured in Peterson's 4 wheel and off road magazine Aug 1997, come on, I know you remember this Issue! They called it the "swiss army knife" I still remember staring at this exact picture, for hours! Soni Honegger set out on a mission to build what had been knocking around his head for some time, to build the most capable all terrain vehicle ever with a suspension system void of any springs and connected front to back with an equalizing system that actually forced articulation. It allows equal pressure on all 4 in even the most demanding situations as can be seen in some of these photos. It used air bags to spring the vehicle and a mechanical linkage that would force a rear tire down at a 70/30 ratio when t

Blogrush or Entrecard: Which is Your Favorite?
For many bloggers and website owners, Blogrush and Entrecard are not strange to them.Blogrush was quite a buzz when it’s launched. Blogrush utilizes a viral concept which operates via a multi level structure. This means that you get more traffic when you refer more people (who in turn refer others) to sign up and use Blogrush. Yet bloggers seem to be quite passive in deciding how their contents are syndicated in the network., but the good point is that this can prevent some forms of attempts to cheat the Blogrush system, definitely a good thing.Entrecard is gaining momentum and it has secured some financing from investors. In fact, Entrecard is viral in nature too, and card-dropping of Entrecard means more credits for the owner of the blog. In this regard, blog owners can be more active
