This year I am going to do something different.  Normally I concentrate on women’s fashion when it comes to predictions for the upcoming season.  With men’s fashion becoming more popular these days it’s time to give the men some attention for Fall/Winter 2007. Expect to see a fitted look without a jacket and more sweaters, particularly knit.  The overall look for men is going to go back to a traditional more gentleman like look that will include v-necks and more turtlenecks. The colors will include purple in a royal fashion with eggplant added for a more polished look for pullovers.  Other colors to lookout for will be the typical earth tones that are associated with men’s fashion as well as deep rich blues. To enhance the look of sweaters and turtlenecks go with a chunky knit scarf to complete your look.  Two-tone wool scarves will give you a sophisticated look to compliment your entire wardrobe. There was talk a few weeks ago about fashion designers Calvin Klein and Micheal Mors getting into the plus size fashion world. Macy’s is carrying clothing by both designers. The good thing about this is that there are more designers jumping on the band wagon and making clothing for plus size women and in some cases men more fashionable and trendy. The drawback to the clothing that is offered at Macy’s is that the models don’t reflect the sizes that they offer. This is a wake up call to all plus size models and plus size modeling agencies. There needs to be a harder push towards being able to represent the customers that will be buying the items. A size 14 model is not a good representation of what a size 22 customer would look like in clothing. India's Lakme Fashion Week is next month, so I decided to do a quick piece on some of the most fabulous designers in India right now. A country that's so rich in colour, fabrics and details, its no surprise that there really are some amazing clothes on the go, and where better to look for a fresh look for S/S 07?With a touch of the saree and a bit of the salwar-kameez, Indian designers are up to date with, but magically rework western trends. Fist Update: I have decided to change my policy on payments for my Couture Fashions. Now payments must be paid up front. The reason for this change is mainly because I will take as much time as needed to create the perfect design for my customers. Some have only been a day, some as long as a week. I enjoyed reading the 50 & fab topic a lot, but here I am at 45. Body is just starting that gravitational drift downwards :eek: I have the darndest time finding clothing that is neither too young looking or as my DH says "matronly". Have been shopping at Christopher & Banks, and made a few tops out of Loes Hinse patterns, which turned out pretty good, but it is so frustrating.
