Pussycat Dolls Lingerie Collection @ L.A. Fashion Week 2008
After being away from the limelight, the Pussycat Dolls now have their own line of lingerie called "...shhh". The lingerie line was inspired by punk-rock music and old-fashioned pinup girls.Robin Antin called it "shhh" because it's "every woman's little secret". "What we're wearing under our clothes is our little secret," she said. "It's something that every woman shares."On the last day of L.A. Fashion Week, she sent models dressed in brightly hued ruffled panties paired with push-up demicup bras or camisoles; boy-cut bottoms with side ties and matching bras; and tiny thongs matched with equally teeny bras. There were corsets and low-slung panties, totally sheer mesh camisoles, cropped hoodies, and skinny ribbed tanks, and underwear with detachable garters, some in animal prints, some str

It can be observed that the jersey fabric was still used in Lauren's design, draped and accessorized by belts. Few bold prints were also added to spice up the monochromatic color palette. Bows were present, which added sophistication to the plain dresses, as well as the promised Parisian influence in the french beret and a few hair pieces.Overall it was sexy and wearable. NY Fashion Week Coverage: Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2008
Presenting: Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter Collection 2008This Fall/Winter, the Marc by MJ Collection seems to be inspired by the Eighties and the Punk-Rock vibe. This season, we see very bold colours and an array of bags which are functionalist in terms of its design. This Fall/Winter, the Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag collection was also influenced by graffiti, as we see plenty of that this season.Oversized bags also seems to be the trend for MJ this season, thus displaying the functionalist approach to design. Multi-pockets also seem to be a key theme that runs through the bags. We still see clutches on the runway this season, however, they have dramatically reduced in size compared to the oversized clutches that we saw this Spring/Summer 2008. In this collection, Marc Jacobs also seems

America's Next Top Model at Fashion Week and Elsewhere
Apparently the fashion high-ups don't think that America 's Next Top Model Cycle 9 winner Saleisha Stowers wasn't "seasoned" enough to be part of New York 's Fashion Week, thus the model's absence in the biggest fashion event of the year. However, this hasn't stopped the 22-year-old from representing at Fashion Week, as she joined three other models from recent seasons of America 's Next Top Model on the runways. One of them, in fact, is one of Saleisha's Cycle 9 competitors. Balancing Act: Fashion Week and School
My sister never had to deal with the madness of Fashion Week and going to countless shows so she asked me "How are you keeping up with everything.” 'Everything' means going to school, my part-time job and among other things. Thinking about it I don't know how I dealt with everything in my life while running around NYC to get to fashion shows some of which I missed. This season I had mid-terms during fashion week and last season I had final exams. I laugh and sigh about how the shows I got invited to that didn't interfere with my exams. I remember last season I had an exam at 8:30am and I had to go to the Tibi show that started at 9:00am. It's a great comfort that my school is two blocks away from the tents so I didn't have to worry about taking the subway to get there, just really fast p

Rising stars at New York Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week saw some interesting collections brought by young labels like ADAM, Jason Wu and Rag&Bone. Adam Lippes is not new to the fashion world. Since his debut in 2004 the Adam + Eve label became well known and changed from a sportswear line to a casual-chic one. For his fall 2008 collection, Adam Lippes chose to release the designs under his own name, in this way creating a new label: ADAM. The clothes may not seem unique but for me their sophisticated casual style looks very appealing. After all, Adam's career was shaped under the "tutory" of American classics Ralph Lauren and Oscar de la Renta. ADAM by Adam Lippes, Fall 2008 read more

So I just turned to my favorite designers this time. 3.1 Phillip Lim always manages to deliver versatile designs. I love how he uses soft fabrics like silk, suede, jersey but also raw denim and creates cool, urban but very feminine and grown-up looks. NEW YORK FASHION WEEK FALL 2008
I really wasn't very inspired this season. Wie jetzt? Inspiration oder nicht? Vielleicht Kopie?
