As I have mentioned before, I try to steer clear of the popular bargain fashion stores. When I read other bargain fashion blogs they all seem to center on the same 4 or 5 stores: Target, Old Navy, Forever 21, Gap and Wal-mart. I have nothing against these stores and have shopped at all of them. The only problem is that you tend to run into people wearing the same dress you own.

Lulu's Fashion LoungeI have to admit, I have a special place in my heart dedicated to Lulu's Fashion Lounge. Long before this hip purveyor of budget-conscious fashion became an online retailer, it was an upstart clothing store in the then fashion deprived northern California town of Chico. Lulu's one and only bricks-and-mortar store is still going strong in Chico, located mere blocks from the Cal State Chico University campus-- my alma mater. I spent many a lunch break at Lulu's combing through their racks of fun clothing with my best friend looking for our Thursday night going out attire.Time marches on, but my love of Lulu's Fashion Lounge hasn't changed a bit.
