I'm not a fan of Akademi Fantasia but since I moved in with my friends, watching AF concerts are their ritual and now so am I. My most favourite student is Stacy for her overall package and I hope she won the competition. But it is well known that in AF, Borneo will never be given the chance to get the first place. I bet it will be just be the same this time around too. We will just wait and see if a miracle happen this season.

It's been a while that we haven't heard anything about Fantasia Barrino. I am happy to hear that Fantasia is back in the limelight with a new song. The American Idol 3rd season grand winner collaborated with Monica and Missy Elliot this time with a hot track called "No Stoppin". Produced by Missy Elliot, the song is a fun track with a fast beat. Fantasia is currently in the studio working on her third album to be released late 2008 or early 2009. Meanwhile, Fantasia confirmed to MTV News that Oprah Winfrey has casted her as Celie in the silver screen adaptation of “The Color Purple” musical. The "American Idol 3" winner, who already has a 6-year-old daughter, Zion Quari, is scheduled to end her extended Broadway run as Miss Celie on Jan. 6. Chaka Khan and Bebe Winans join the company as Sofia and Harpo, respectively, on Jan. 9. Fantasia Barrino is playing Celie in the Broadway musical “The Color Purple.” It’s at the Broadway Theatre in New York right now.
She is a former “American Idol” star. Broadway has been drawing stars in recent years in hopes to get ticket sales up. No one knew if Barrino would be able to pull it off. She need not worry. She has gotten great reviews, and boosted ticket sales.
She has worked quite hard for the success. It’s eight times a week and is onstage almost the whole time. She puts a lot of herself into the show too. She admits the schedule is demanding and she takes any chance to sleep.
Oprah loved her performance and the response from fans has been inspiring. With all the positive reviews, she’s been asked to extend her engagement by four months, until January. She wanted to get back to recording. She has a #1 hit on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop chart with the ballad “When I See You.”

Firstly, I Have Completely Over Looked This Track Until Now. Sorry If This Is Old News To You.Although not on general circulation in the UK, I have heard "Fantasia's" radio edit of her hit "When I See U", didn't think there was much going on there, some solid vocals & a cool song, but nothing special. Now, "Polow Da Don", in my opinion, one of the best producers to emerge in recent times, has taken the track & transformed it into a 'club banga'.The production on this one is so simple & yet so good, the tempo & beat are perfectly in sync, Polow has built on the original production in a way that makes this sound like the original. Plus, some extra rhymes from "Jeezy" make this track a certain hit, I hope so much that this version gets released. It was produced by TMS (Tokyo Movie Shinsha) who adapted the famous Yukinobu Hoshino manga from 1984 called 2001 Nights. Although this OVA has never been released in the US, the manga was licensed and fully translated by Viz in 1996. Don't worry though, it's still available today through the usual online retailers such as Amazon. Fanny-tasia was announced as one of the performers for the 61st annual Tony Awards, which will be held on June 10 at Radio City Music Hall. It’s set to air on CBS at 8pm et/pt. Check your local listings for more details. The ceremony will feature musical numbers from each of the nominees for Best Musical (Curtains, Grey Gardens, Mary Poppins and Spring Awakening) as well as performances by the casts of the currently running Best Musical Revival nominees (A Chorus Line, Company and 110 in the Shade); no number will be performed from The Apple Tree, which closed in March. I can’t wait to see Tasia’s performance, seeing as making a trip to New York all the way from South Carolina isn’t included in my budget.

The new broadway star is set to perform at this year's Tony Awards and she's also scheduled to perform on Live with Regis and Kelly tomorrow. Clive Davis may not be feeling Fantasia, but the theater world sure ain't complaining!

Gadis ayu dan bersuara lunak Mila akhirnya telah berjaya MEMENANGI AKADEMI FANTASIA KELIMA (AF5) malam ini. Mila telah berjaya mengenepikan peserta favourite Heliza. I thought Heliza was going to wing it, but Mila proves that she has what it takes with her consistent and solid voice. Her performance last week with Ebi on My Heart has captured the hearts of millions of people in Malaysia. Tonight her song was Cinta Pura-Pura (Ezlynn) and Persis Mutiara. 5th - Candy, 4th - Heliza, 3rd - Aswad, 2nd - Ebi. More pictures and clips to come! I bet her singing career will be blooming after this. SMS votes at half time showed that MILA was leading the pack and this was good enough indication already on who would become the next winner of Akademi Fantasia.
