It's been a week since the poll to determine how Jackie's next fanfic should be presented here.
The day is not over yet but from the looks of it - the majority (75%) of those who participated in the poll, would like to see the story all at once - so whole story it is.
Just a preview. It is another Zanessa story, 10 chapters long. I don't know how much you can tell from the title but it is -
Guess what I got in the VABN inbox the other day?
Jackie's new fanfic, that's what!
I have a feeling you'll love this one as much as you love the first story Jackie shared with us.
The only thing is, it has multiple chapters. I'm not sure if you guys want me to post the chapters as soon as I get them. Or if you want me to wait until I get the completed fanfic from Jackie.
So I put together
One of our VanAshBreNique readers sent me this wonderful email last week. Attached to the mail was a gift. Ever since I got it, I've been wondering how I could share it with the rest of you guys. I've shared it with the girls over at FanForum but I couldn't figure out how to share it here, until now.
Here's a fanfic that Jackie would like to share with you all. Hi Jackie!
She was inspired by
Now that it's the holiday season, I love to read "Christmas at Hogwarts" fanfics. If any of you are still trying to get in the spirit without any luck, maybe reading a holiday story featuring our favorite subject will do the trick. I'm sure most of you are familiar with the Charles Dickens' classic, "A Christmas Carol". This little story features Draco Malfoy instead of Scrooge, but the set up of the story is the almost the same as the original and with the Potter characters we've come to know and love! It's short but perfect. I hope you enjoy!Malfoy's Christmas Carol by Mrs. WeasleyShort Excerpt: The corridor seemed very dark as Malfoy reached the stretch of bare stone wall which hid the common room entrance. The torches which lit the walls were guttering in their sockets, the flames sinking very low. He put out a hand to touch the wall, opened his mouth to utter the password - and froze. There was a face looking out of the wall at him, and one he recognised. It was the face
This week's fanfic was written by one of our readers!! Deanna, a frequent helper-outer to The Chocolate Frog, sent us a link to her Ron/Hermione stories, and the one we've decided to feature is "The Ribbon". This story is a lovely little one-shot that revolves around Ron, Hermione, and a special ribbon.Click here to read the story over at Mugglenet Fanfiction!Don't forget to leave a review, or leave a message for Deanna telling her just how much you liked it!As always, if you have written any fanfic, or have a favorite story you'd like to see featured, let us know!----------------------------------------------
This time we're focusing on the Marauders for our fanfic of the week: James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter. I've always loved fics featuring those four and their adventures before Harry Potter was even in existence, but this one...this one is just special. Some Things Are Better Left Unknown by GiesbrechtSummary:Fifteen-year-old Sirius perfects a spell to send the Marauders 25 years into the future -- and right into Harry's fifth year. At first, it's lots of fun, but the truth can be a terrible thing.Small Excerpt:"Alright, Padfoot, what did you cook up this time?" James watched with some amusement as Sirius scampered about the Gryffindor common room, arranging some very odd looking objects. He had been doing this for the last half-hour. "I'll tell you in a minute," said Sirius, excited and quite breathless. "Looks like some odd treasure hunt," observed Peter, "except we can all see where you're putting stuff, and its not even hidden." "It's a charm
This week's fanfic is a really cute Harry/Ginny fanfic by Mr. Intel, entitled "The Bargain". Here's a little description:When James Potter and Arthur Weasley are trapped by Death Eaters, they strike a bargain that has some unintended consequences. Sixteen years later, Harry and Ginny find out just how binding that bargain is.Sounds cute, right? Well, it is! Here's the link to the story, and while you're there, check out Mr. Intel's other fabulous works!
Sorry for not having a fanfic of the week last week, guys........it was hectic around here! This week, the fanfic recommendation is for a Ron/Hermione story by the very talented Arabella from The Sugar Quill.Hermione, Queen of Witches is sort of a Bridget Jones' Diary-type fanfic that spans years one through five so far. The author has used all the events that take place in the books and written out Hermione's diary as an accompaniment. Arabella was also one of the authors of After the End (my personal favorite HP fanfic of all time), so I can safely recommend this story.Check it out, and let us know if you like it!As always, if you have any favorite stories, we'd be happy to share them with everyone. You know the drill.....message our myspace or email us!
Parallels between the Russian intelligentsia and Livejournal? Tis so.I feel like I just started some important project last night but really I just saw a play. Tom Stoppard's "The Coat of Utopia" is a trilogy, and I just saw the first part "Voyage." It's about a circle of Russian intellectuals in the nineteenth centur: Michael Bakunin, Nicholas Stankevich, Vissarion Belinsky, Ivan Turgenev, Alexander Herzen and Nicholas Ogarev. In last night's show they were all young and stupid--especially Michael Bakunin. Ethan Hawke did a great job playing somebody who was charismastic and idealistic and thinks the universe revolves around him. Billy Crudup was also great as Belinsky. On the way out I pushed through what I swear I thought was a group of college students standing around near the entrance and then realized it was the cast I just saw. Billy Crudup is a tiny, tiny man. There were times when the play actually reminded me of lj, I guess because it's one modern place where people sometim
I thought it was about time we featured a pairing we haven't before, which made me instantly think of Neville/Luna. Although I doubt it will happen in canon, I think they're both so cute and quirky that they'd make a perfect match. Nerdy Neville and Loony Luna...it just sounds right. Anyway, I can't say that I've read any fanfiction of them together, but I found a recommendation for this particular story from people who love this pairing, and it sounds like a gem.Post-Its by Sabelle.Summary:Luna and Neville don't see each other much during the day, so they use Post-It notes to talk to each other. What if Neville decides to act on impulse and write a note that could change both their lives?Give it a read and let us know what you think! And as always, if you have any recommendations for Harry Potter fanfics to be featured in the future, send us a message on Myspace or email us.
