This fighting game pits characters from both shows against each other. For Team American Dad, there is Stan, Hayley, Roger, and Klaus. For Team Family Guy, there is Peter, Lois, Chris, and Stewie.
In Arcade Mode, you choose a character and fight the other seven, one after the other. After defeating all seven characters, you fight a final boss. The final boss is none other than Ryu. The Ryu sprite is based on his Super Street Fighter II form. He is the most aggressive of the opponents, which does not say much since the AI sucks (you can just corner them and spam the same attack over and over). Ryu has watered-down versions of his specials: the Hadouken, Shouryuuken, and Tatsumakisempuukyaku. As cool as it was to see Ryu make a cameo in this Flash game, it would have been MUCH better if Homer Si

I think American Dad seems more polished as far as the animation goes. But maybe that's because lately I've been watching some of the older Family Guy episodes on TBS. They're so old, they sometimes seem new to me!I still get the impression, though, that the animation is subtly different with American Dad. Maybe the colors are brighter, and the lines are thicker. It gives it a more "professional" feel, even though both cartoons are run by the same guy.I heard that the reason American Dad is so similar to Family Guy is that at the time of American Dad's creation, Family Guy was canceled. Then Family Guy got resurrected while American Dad still got launched. But I think the two shows have diverged now.Every so often I think about that jewel encrusted object that American Dad sometimes
To the ranks of shows too brilliant and outrageous for prime time (The Ben Stiller Show, Andy Richter Controls the Universe), add Seth McFarland's Family Guy. This animated series, which debuted after the 1999 Super Bowl, simply sparked too much controversy and offended too many sensibilities to survive (Entertainment Weekly dubbed it "the Awful Show They Just Keep Putting on the Air").
Moviehole got an update about a possible Family Guy movie:
Buried in a story about McFarlane’s new financially-pleasing deal with the network is the following:
“Beyond that, MacFarlane said he’d like to continue expanding his Fuzzy Door shingle to include multiple skeins and feature projects. And that includes a long-rumored “Family Guy” movie, which MacFarlane would like [...]

Last night I watched a new "Family Guy" and a new "American Dad." It occurred to me that the creator must be pretty busy running two popular shows that both need new episodes. There was one moment that stood out for me, when Stewie was commenting on Bryan's parenting ability. In the middle of a sentence, he started playing around with the pronunciation of a word, twisting it and slowing it down, and all of a sudden he started making really rapid and unexpected spitting noises. It was so ridiculous that it reminded me of my first impressions of Family Guy, like the times Peter would fall over way faster than normal.I liked the conversation Stewie had with Matthew McConaughey. I think it was Seth Green who provided McConaughey's voice, and I don't know if he ad-libbed, but it was terrific

"Blue Harvest" was the season premiere of the Sixth season of the FOX series Family Guy, which originally aired on September 23, 2007.The episode was a retelling of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, recasting the show's characters into Star Wars roles.[1] For this purpose, and for the first time in the history of Family Guy, this episode was an hour long (with commercials). It was also made to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars franchise. The name "Blue Harvest" is a reference to the title of the film ruse used to ensure secrecy and disguise the actual 1981 - 1983 production of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. This episode drew 10.7 million viewers, and earned the highest Nielsen rating of any Family Guy episode since the show returned to air in 2005, making it the se

Yeah, so some total jackass comedian-magician just woke up (desperate for money perhaps) and sued Family Guy for it`s feature-length movie "Stewie Griffin the untold story" because the Jesus portrayed in the movie does a stupid magic act (because his abilities were exaggerated) and this dude, Art Metrano claims it is HIS magic act performed on "the Tonight Show". If i were spoofed by Family Guy i would`ve been proud, Metrano you are a fucking idiot, you are ugly, you are NOT funny and you can go to hell. You can see a comparison of his act and the Family Guy scene here.

Today I saw a commercial for Subway, but instead of hearing from Jared, I saw Peter Griffin, The Family Guy!At first I was surprised, seeing as how Family Guy can seem pretty hardcore, and may not appeal to everyone. After all, the creator did just do an episode showcasing all the negative criticism the show has garnered. And when I saw that, I assumed that that meant "Family Guy" is a show for young males who typically get a bigger kick out of crude humor.I thought Subway already appealed to everyone. Maybe they don't feel the same way. Maybe the numbers say that the average young male would rather go get burgers or pizza. Or if they want a sub, they might go to Quiznos because of their more subversive advertising. Subway might just be trying to capture that same form of appeal.Even though "Family Guy" is often potentially offensive, the commercial wasn't at all. I guess this proves that while Family Guy can be dirty on its own time, it can clean up its act when there are end
A couple of weeks ago I watched the Part 1 episode of "Family Guy" in which Stewie kills Lois. I watched it at 9:00 p.m. on Fox. Then last night, at 2:30 a.m., I saw the same episode on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. At first I was surprised to notice a few tidbits that I hadn't apparently picked up on the first time around. But after a while, when I kept seeing more and more scenes that seemed "new," I realized they all had something in common. They were a bit more extreme and offensive than the usual gags. Not that they offended me personally, but they could have offended someone else more easily than the other jokes in the show.I finally understood that Fox doesn't show full Family Guy episodes. They edit out some of the dirtier sequences. In order to see the "original" version of an episode, you can just watch it late night on Cartoon Network.
I was watching "The Simpsons," basking in the newness of it all, when all of the sudden I saw a random transition that reminded me of "Family Guy." Usually, as far as I can recall, "The Simpsons" would gradually move from one idea to the next. Sometimes quickly. But never super-abruptly. "Family Guy" does that all the time, though. "Remember the time blah blah blah?..." [BLAM! -- Cut Scene]What happened in "The Simpsons" was someone mentioned a pork product, I think it was. Then we see Homer for the first time in the episode, completely out of context, reclining at work and dreaming about the same exact product. A little random, but also a fresh take on the running gag. He says his usual, "Mmmm... Pork filled banjo" or whatever it was. Then back to the scene at hand. I think it was funny because it's like the audience is expecting a "Mmmm" whenever anything remotely food-sounding is mentioned. Since Homer wasn't around, they cut to wherever he was in the universe, and ha

Family Guy is an American animated cartoon television series about a dysfunctional family in the fictional town of Quahog, Rhode Island. It was created by Seth MacFarlane for Fox Broadcasting in 1999. The show uses frequent a gags and jokes in the form of tangential vignettes that do not advance the story. Family Guy was cancelled once in 2000, and again in 2002, but strong DVD sales and the large viewership of reruns on Cartoon Network's Swim convinced FOX to resume the show in 2005.Family Guy started right where it left off, making people laugh with 80s references, celebrity bashing, and sexual and racial jokes that make you just cant help but to laugh at.Family Guy is now on DVD Release Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: Untold Story DVD Released: 2007-03-06
Did you watch Family Guy tonight? It was the conclusion of a two part episode, where Stewie tries to kill Lois and then take over the world. We LOVE Family Guy - it’s so stinkin’ funny - but tonight’s episode seemed to be a bit much, even by Family Guy standards. All the shooting-in-the-head stuff and the blood everywhere was just - I dunno - a bit much! Is it just me? I did laugh my ass off when Lois and Peter switched bodies!

I watched the new Family Guy a few hours ago, and enjoyed it. The commercials for it had all been playing up Joe's newfound ability to walk. If you've never watched the show before, Joe is a police officer who fell off a roof and lost the use of the lower half of his body. Tonight's episode saw him getting a full transplant -- a new set of legs. Joe is ultra-macho, and his upper body is incredibly developed. Even without the use of his legs, he was still the best cop in town. When I saw the ad showing him walking again, I thought, "He'll be... unstoppable!"He did become unstoppable, and far more active, to the point where he ditched his old friends because they were too lazy. Mayhem ensued in order to recreate the status quo, and suffice it to say things got back to normal (by any means necessary). The moral of the story is: When you live in a cartoon, you shouldn't live to please others. Joe wanted his wife to be happy (she had been subtly expressing disappointment at the current

Well, tonight was the season premiere of the hit cartoon comedy Family Guy. And what a great hour long episode. It was basically Star Wars with the regular Family Guy characters playing the main characters in the film. Chris Griffin was Luke. Peter was Han Solo, Lois was Princess Leia, Quagmire was C-3PO, etc. Along with that there were the usual jokes, and random references to things. Overall solid episode, and great way to start out the season. If I were to rate it I would say 9/10 (too many reused jokes, still funny though) Go watch it now! Guess what. It’s funny video Friday and I’m in the mood for Family Guy. Microsoft and Fox have signed an agreement today that will bring Fox programming to the Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace. First up? Family Guy!
Family Guy will be the first of what will surely be many shows from Fox (24, House, etc.) that will find a new home on the Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace. Considering what’s been popular in the Video Marketplace, the program decision seems obvious.
The first two seasons, as well as “Family Guy Presents: Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story” will be available for download sometime next week, with the other seasons following soon after. New episodes will be added to the Video Marketplace the day after they premeire.
