I will admit this, I grew up around blacks, When I lived in Detroit, I also went to School with them, I did go to Private Schools, but I did go to school with black people, and I never heard anything like, what Rev. Liberation Theology is a Liberal Christian doctrine, which has smatterings of Marxism in it. We all know that Marxism is the building blocks for Communism. It's been awhile since we've had an update on Interplay's long-promised Fallout MMO.To get some of you up to speed: plans for a Fallout MMO that could revive the ailing company were teased out of a November 2006 SEC filing. In April of the following year, Bethesda - already hard at work on Fallout 3 - bought the rights to the series from Interplay for $5.75 million. The deal allowed Interplay to be a licensee, paying Bethesda a 12% royalty on net sales of the still-vaporous Fallout MMO. In August, Interplay's CEO stated in an earning statement that "Fallout Online will play a key role in the future of Interplay" and in November the company revealed ambitions to rekindle franchises like Earthworm Jim, MDK, Descent, and Dark Alliance. Now, in yet another earnings report wrapping up thei

CO-Sen: Hillary / Obama Squabbling Limits Fallout from GOP FlipFlop
Last Thursday, John "100 years" McCain (it's a double entendre) appeared in Colorado to shore up GOP support. Though Romney crushed him in the Feb 5 primary, Colorado's conservatives are now falling in line. Some are calling him "conservative enough." Others are calling him the GOP's "ace in the hole," owing to his perceived independent appeal. Fortunately, chances are good that the "ace" will be trumped as the unstable McCain campaign continues to stagger further and further from the middle. Colorado's conservatives, however, have little choice but to rally behind their candidate, as demonstrated by the Republican's nominee for Senate Bob Schaffer. Schaffer appeared beside McCain in Denver, and his campaign manager told the Rocky Mountain News that "Bob Schaffer enthusiastically supports

      Lessons from the housing fallout
NEARLY EVERY day, it seems, we hear about the rising tide of homeowners who are losing their homes to foreclosure, and the identified culprit is usually the "predatory" lender. But there are simpler, less nefarious reasons why some consumers find themselves in this predicament. There are structural conflicts of interest in the real estate industry - conflicts that helped shepherd borrowers to all-too-predictable financial ruin. We should use the present crisis as an opportunity to correct them.

Or it is the meds.  I know one day isn’t a long enough amount of time to diagnose from, but it has me thinking his body is just a little out of whack with the new meds…

Record Layoffs Fallout From Real Estate Market Downturn
According to Business Week and outplacement firm Challenger, Gray and Christmas, it's officially the worst year ever for layoffs in the U.S. financial-services industry. And it's only October. We can thank the subprime mortgage crisis and resulting credit crunch for the 130,000 job cuts announced by finance companies as of October. Compare that to 50,000 job cuts in all of 2006 and 110,000 in 2001, the previous record-holding year. Of the companies announcing layoffs, Countrywide Mortgage is among the ones with the most job cuts. Countrywide slashed their workforce by 12,000. Subprime lender IndyMac said it would eliminate 1,000 jobs; Accredited Home Lenders Holding said it would cut 1,600 jobs; Capital one said it would close it's Greenpoint Mortgage division, eliminating 1,900 jobs. Even though many of the cuts are from brokers/lenders in the subprime mortgage business, there are many job cuts occuring due to losses on Wall Street. Senior mergers-and-acquisitions bankers, finan

Wow it’s so crazy how people just forget about these other awesome games that are coming

      Week 6 Fallout
Week 6 largely avoided major injuries. A first for 2007. Let's take a look at what did happen. Vince Young - QB - Tennessee Titans Young left the game on Sunday with a quadriceps strain. Jeff Fisher is hopeful that Young can play in Week 7, and has stated that there is no need for any surgery. If he can't go, Kerry Collins will start. More "Flop"-Related Fallout
In the wake of the Yankees' 1st-round loss to the Indians, countless articles have been written about Alex Rodriguez's alleged failure to produce (not to mention the innumerable Torre-related fare; I'll get to that later). So instead of posting about every single one of them which wouldn't be fun for your or me, I'll just let Newsday's Johnette Howard take the full brunt of my wrath:After this Division Series, when does every last holdout in the sport - the scouts who still coo about Rodriguez's picturesque swing, the "Yeah, but ... " seamheads who point to his fat numbers, the historians who are busy plotting he'll likely break Barry Bonds' all-time home run record in 2013 - just give up and agree this is what Rodriguez is: a guy who gets you to the postseason but won't ever win it for you.Never, Johnette. Never. Because not only is he the owner of a picturesque swing and an extraordinary statistical record, he also already has found success in the playoffs. He won't "win i

      Week 5 Fallout
Mercifully, there wasn't as much carnage in Week 5 as there had been in recent weeks. Out For The Season: Matt Leinart - QB - Arizona Cardinals Former Paris Hilton boy-toy Matt Leinart has been placed in Injured Reserve, ending his season, from a fractured collarbone he sustained in Week 5 against the 49ers. Cricket - Twenty20 "fallout" - too much money, too much cricket?
The Twenty20 Cricket World Cup is now a thing of the past, seeming to have departed as quickly as it came, and as rapidly as a ball off Yuvraj's bat over a mid-wicket boundary. The game continues to battle its way through the complexity of what this new and (potentially) improved version of the game offers. Recently, Malcolm Speed, Chief Executive of the International Cricket Council, declared that "We have a problem of fitting Twenty20 into the international calendar". This is of course true, there's too much cricket being played these days - the subject of our article further below. The point, however, is that Twenty20 offers a way to ease the congestion by reducing demands on players. More importantly, the ICC may face a problem of getting enough money to fund the game, if the market demand for the 20 over game reaches levels that detract from the 50-over game. It's a delicate problem, and the ICC hardly inspire confidence that they will handle it correctly. In other cricket r

The Most Comprehensive Fallout 3 Preview, Period
No Mutants Allowed is known as one of the most loyal, knowledgeable, and respected groups of Fallout fans on the planet Earth. By me. Others as well, but since I’m writing this it’s my opinion that matters. But I digress. This Fallout 3 preview from No Mutants Allowed is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most comprehensive, in-depth preview yet. However, it’s not entirely a positive preview of the game. (more…)

      The Fallout
Around the time I had my positive pregnancy test, Julia began to complain about the pain in her tummy. You know, because there’s a baby in there. It lasted all of Friday night and through Saturday. On Sunday evening, she emerged from the family room with a doll wrapped in the arm cover from the couch. She proceeded gingerly and with great pride and sincerity announced, “My baby is born.” Upon further questioning it was revealed that the baby had grown out of her belly, so there was no baby in her belly anymore. She hugged her baby and nursed her baby, complete with sucking sounds. Her baby took naps on the kitchen floor with an open book for a blanket. Her baby got a boo boo and required a band aid. Her baby ate cantaloupe. I felt pretty confident that Julia was excited that we’re going to have a baby. Dave, who is also excited, expresses his emotions in a different way. He has decided that it is his duty to ensure that I am not hurt or upset in any poss

      Fallout.
So, there was a fallout between Miki and I. A major one.On Wednesday night, we were discussing moving-type items when the question of bed lofting arose. She had agreed before we even got our room that she would loft her bed and I'd have mine down, as last year it was opposite for both of us in our separate rooms. It felt only fair. Well, her ROTC scholarship came through so she's actually going to be in the dorms and she now refuses to loft her bed.All I asked was for her to try it lofted for one night. As a favor to me, after having to put up with living with her jackass boyfriend all summer who was incredibly rude to me and to anyone I had over to visit, I thought she could do that one little thing. She absolutely refused. My parents and therapists have told me to stand up for myself in these situations, so I refused to back down. Various unkind things were tossed back and forth and she brought up the dishes thing AGAIN...But the straw that broke the Janna's back was when she brou

PC Preview: Fallout 3
As the narration hits its stride and a skull and ribcage half-buried in sand appear in Fallout 3's introduction, I suppress the little voice that's asking, no, begging me to stand up, stride around Bethesda's viewing area Poirot-style with my index finger raised in the air before pointing directly at the game's executive producer and loudly saying: "I put it to you, Todd Howard, that this very scene is taken directly - directly! - from the image you saw when you died in Fallout!"At this point everyone would have applauded, and Howard would have come down from his control platform and given me a medal for being the biggest, bestest Fallout fan that there ever was. I would then have rolled over to let him tickle my tummy and we'd live forever in a little house on a prairie, where I'd often fetch sticks for him.NUCLEAR FAMILYIt's a strange fantasy (my girlfriend is a patient soul), but one that hit me again, and again and again as I was guided through the newly first person-ised w

Indonesia Econ "Can Handle" Fallout From US Credit Woes- Minister
The Indonesian economy "can handle" the fallout from problems in the U.S. subprime-mortgage market, the country's economy minister said Tuesday. "Our (economic) system is good enough and can handle this kind of problem," Coordinating Minister for Economy Boediono told reporters. Boediono's comment came after Indonesian stocks and the rupiah fell in early trade Tuesday on lingering worries over the global credit market. This was despite the Federal Reserve and other central banks having injected more cash into their banking systems to ease those concerns.Indonesia News Blog: http://indosnesos.blogspot.com

      Mortgage game fallout
Massachusetts businesses know the impact of a credit crunch. During the recession of the 1990s, when New England banks collapsed under the weight of bad real estate loans, even well-established businesses couldn't find credit to expand -- or just survive. The credit crunch deepened that recession, the state's worst in the post-World War II period. Mortgage companies now have less concern for the borrowers' ability to make monthly payments, since they are selling the mortgage anyway. The incentive for them is to make as many mortgages as they can. That incentive gave birth to subprime mortgages, interest-only mortgages, adjustable rate mortgages and other products that house-hungry but cash-poor families have jumped on. Rising home prices, cashed out in the form of home equity loans, helped the economy ride out the bursting of the tech bubble in the first part of this decade. But when real estate inflation slowed and interest rates rose, the results were predictable. Foreclosures and

Condemned 2 toned down after Manhunt 2 fallout
It seems Manhunt 2 being rated Adults Only by the ESRB in the USA is having more fallout. The Condemned 2: Bloodshot (Xbox 360, PS3) senior producer, Constantine Hantzopoulos, explains to CVG that a few features have already been pulled from their game due to the Manhunt 2 (Wii, PS2, PSP) situation. After outlining that the game world Condemned 2 takes place in is an entirely fictional universe, he explained: “You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. We’re working closely with the ESRB to make sure everything goes through okay but there’s stuff we’ve cut already. There were things we were doing that even I couldn’t believe we were going to those places.” When asked for examples of what we might now never see in a game again, he said: “An example of what we cut would be putting someone’s head in a vice. That was too much, you know. There are also some decapitations we’ve lost. But this is more Sin City than it is real worl

      Bush administration fallout: GOP Discontent
I hope that the Republican party is paying very close attention to this article. This is most likely just the first of many losses they will suffer if they don’t do a lot of damage control. And by damage control I mean getting away from the self destructive path that George Bush has been taking them down. If the Republican Party want to ever be relevant again they need to get back to their conservative roots of small government, fiscal restraint and most of all controlling our borders. On the one hand the Bush administration has been excellent about keeping taxes low which is always good for business and the individual. But unfortunately they also spend the tax dollars like a drunken liberal. That’s a very bad combination. Our children will be paying off the multi trillion dollar debt George Bush has racked up. Others might well consider the war in Iraq the biggest folly of the Bush administration. But I think his dreams of a North American Union far over shadow that in long term dam
