The last friday closing for the Dow Jones took me by surprise. Before that, there was a hammer candlestick formed on the trendline and the 200d MA. The hammer tested both of these and it managed to close above it so technically speaking, i believe that was the bottom of the correction. However, the Dow Jones closed with a huge black candlestick and it closed below the 200d MA. The 200d MA, as i said in my previous post is an very important moving average line as it determines whether the major trend of the market is up or down. The last time, it dip below the 200d MA was in Nov 2005 and that was like 2 years ago.The next support level for the Dow Jones should be around 13800 and that was the level which the previous correction at around 22nd of Oct had fallen to. Short-term wise, we should see a technical rebound in the next few days but bear in mind, that the market is still downtrending. I think it was sometime last year when I said that Maximo Park is "yet another British group that plays that popular-with-the-kids melodic post-punk but this band is one of the best of the lot," and I still stick to my guns on that verdict. Better than Franz, Futureheads, or Kaiser Chiefs.Maximo Park's latest album Our Earthly Pleasures is a little more cleanly produced than the band's first record, but is still full of great new-wave meets post-punk tunes. The angular guitars and choppy synths are still intact. For those of you unaware from previous post, I started a running program about 11 weeks ago. The program was the Couch-to-5k program from Coolrunnings.com. It is a great program that slowly moves you from inactivity to running 3 miles a day, 3 days a week, in only 9 weeks. Well I'm into the 3rd week of running 3 miles a day, 3 days a week.Anyways, I brag on myself to say that today my worst fears have been realized. In the last two minutes of my run, I had a complete wipe-out. I bit the dust! While trying to maneuver an intersection and some rough driveway pavement, I completely lost control and hit the ground. I landed on my palms, and my hip; and completed two rolls into someones front yard. There was a old lady at the intersection who saw the whole thing, and she just looked on in horror.
