Fair to Midland - Fables from a Mayfly (2007)
Hát azt nem mondhatom, hogy a fiúknak túlzottan bizalomgerjesztő lenne a kinézete, egyet azonban mondhatok: a zenéjüket érdemes meghallgatni.A Fair to Midland együttes 1998-ban alakult Texas állambeli zenészekből, és ők is valami egészen egyéni hangvételű zenét játszanak.

      Aesop’s Fables For Personal Finance
It amazes me that Aesop told his fables over 2500 years ago. Many are as applicable today as they were when he was alive. One of his most famous sayings. “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch, ” is oft quoted by those of us interested in personal finance. Some of Aesop’s fables and sayings are [...]

Fox: "Do you know the time, because my watch is broken"Lion: "Oh, I can easily fix the watch for you" Fox: "Hmm... But it's a very complicated mechanism, and your big claws will only destroy it even more."Lion: "Oh no, give it to me, and it will be

      Folk Tales and Fables
The Tagore story in the video below reminded me of the folk tales I wove into the fabric of Shiva’s Arms, and of the stories that make up the Panchatantra,a collection of animal fables and tales compiled between the third and fifth centuries A.D. Sometimes attributed to a wise man called Bidpai, the volume illustrates the five principles of Raja niti , with one narrative opening into another, then shutting off abruptly. You can find fifteen of these stories here

One day walking by the square, dressed with his best clothes, he saw a man who was selling gold. He quickly closed to him and stole him a big piece of gold in front of everyone's eyes, and went out running. When he was captured, they asked him:-"Why did you steal a piece of gold in front of everybody?"And he answered - "Because I didn't see anybody, I only could see a big piece of gold!!!"The suspectOne day a man lost his axe, and suspected his neighbour's son. Aesop's Fables
Type: .PDFAesop's Fables or Aesopica refers to a collection of fables credited to Aesop (620–560 BC), a slave and story-teller who lived in Ancient Greece. Aesop's Fables have become a blanket term for collections of brief fables, usually involving personified animals. The fables remain a popular choice for moral education of children today. Many stories included in Aesop's Fables, such as The Fox and the Grapes (from which the idiom "sour grapes" was derived), The Tortoise and the Hare, The North Wind and the Sun and The Boy Who Cried Wolf, are well-known throughout the world.Download here:

The Baron's Palace, Fables, Legends and Controversies,Greater Cairo
It would seem that the Baron's Palace in Greater Cairo, after the Great Pyramid and Sphinx of Giza, is subject to more fables, legends and rumors than any other monument in Egypt. I was astounded to hear from a guide, who was very serious, that the old palace was build upon a type of turnstile that would rotate the whole building so that its windows were always facing the sun. Of course, that was urban legend in Cairo, but for many years, this building in Heliopolis has ignited the imagination of the local population with all manner of fables, legends and rumors.Today, the Baron’s Hindu Palace remains the subject of countless rumors. From time to time new rumors spread about this landmark which has been deserted for many years. It’s haunted by bats, stray dogs, and others believe by ghosts. And while the place attracts some architects for it richness, it also seems to have attracted teenagers for their wild parties. They would break into the place on weekends, drink beer and smoke

      Veggietales - Veggie Fables
I've always thought it kind of ironic that the Christian animation company Big Ideas would use vegetables as characters in their series Veggietales. I used to enjoy the show to some degree. I thought it had some wit about it. Nowadays, I wouldn't touch them. Unless cooked or boiled.None of the characters have arms... they have mouths and stuff, but I guess arms and legs takes away from the concept that they're vegetables, I guess. I think it sends two other messages also: 1. Christians are mostly 'armless, and 2. Our characters can't masturbate, although you will find one veggie doing just that in one of the following videos:Warning! Both these vegetale parodies will offend the more 'precious' Christian types.TV Funhouse - ReligetablesUploaded by PigLips

      Immaculate Machine’s Fables
At first glance, Immaculate Machine’s Fables appears to be one of those bands that talented musicians contribute to when they aren’t doing their full time band. After all, IM pulls from several other acts. Kathryn Calder is one of many New Pornographers to branch out, and is one of the lead vocalists for Immaculate Machine. Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand lends vocals on “Jarhand”, the first song on the record, and also gets backing vox assistance from members of The Cribs. And is that was not enough, indie string hero Owen Pallett (Final Fantasy) provides arrangements and strings on a couple songs. But, in truth, Immaculate Machine is not some sort of supergroup or even a side project, and Fables is the second full length album from the band, (with a six song EP stuck in between), who’s core members are Calder, Brooke Gallupe and Luke Kozlowski. The Canadian indie pop rockers take their name from a Paul Simon song, and bring some of the same shimm

      Fables 2: Animal Farm
Yesterday we had to wash all three of Mia's winter coats. She spent much of the day outside, and most of that splashing in mud puddles near the barn. Her boots are sitting out by the back door to dry out. She tried out her bike for the first time in the driveway and exploring the yard with Doogie. We were all walking outside in the early evening when we heard some klooo-klooo sounds overhead. A sandhill crane flew directly over our heads calling to its companion who was flying a little farther south over the house. Mia stopped splashing and stared upward with her mouth agape at the graceful bird. As it flew over the treeline to the west, she ran toward me wanting to know what it was. This is why I love living here. For an interesting take on the left's conservatism and Al Gore's personal inconvenient truth, check out this article from TIME Magazine. Fables 2: Animal Farm by Bill Willingham is an unsatisfying sequel to Legends in Exile. Snow White takes her sister Rose Red up north t
