This class was designed firstly for an elective course for the sixth semester students at the Visual Communication Design department of Petra Christian University, Surabaya, Indonesia. Both have their merits, and are a very nice new way to search for information. Second one is my favorite, is called keyboard shortcuts mode, and it allows you to navigate the results using your keyboard. For example press ‘j’ key to move to next results and ‘enter’ to open it. It is very similar to bloglines keyboard navigation system if you are familiar with it. And third is called search navigation which gives you more related results to your query in a useful sidebar. I feel that combination of the three will certainly bring the search experience to a new level. WEDNESDAY, Nov. 7 (HealthDay News) -- In mice, an investigational agent called VN/14-1 proved effective in treating human prostate cancer, say researchers at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. The five-week study found that daily injections of VN/14-1 in mice implanted with human prostate cancer cells resulted in up to a 50 percent reduction in tumor volume. VN/14-1 blocks the breakdown of vitamin A-derived retinoic acid, the researchers explained. The drug appears to tackle cancer in multiple ways. "This potent agent causes cancer cells to differentiate, forcing them to turn back to a non-cancerous state -- which is what we expected it would do -- but it also stops cancer growth by arresting the cell cycle and pushes cells to die by inducing programmed cell death," senior investigator Vincent C.O. Hi ATOMIC fans. Been getting a few e-mails lately asking why I don't post new entries as often as other bloggers do. Truth is I play guitar a whole lot, so I only post around once per week. So what have I been up to? I've put up some mp3s here with experimental music I've been recording lately. I don't consider these actual songs, but rather guitar ideas that are being developed. 1) Experimental Music One This recording doesn't have much structure. It builds up to an outro, getting heavier and heavier sounding. There are 5 or 6 guitars playing at once at some points. I have been living in my town for seven years now and I never knew there was an Experimental farm only several minutes away from my house. It's even next to the bike trail John and I would visit and didn't think anything of the white building whenever we would park our car near it. Shana used to take her students there when she and I were still working and she invited me to go with her and see all the animals. Plus, there was a field of red sunflowers that we thought was beautiful and great for a photo-op. But sadly, some of my pictures were so overexposed, and what do you know, it's the ones with the sunflower field, so I can't post those up.Don't mind Ava. HAVANA (AP) - Cuba has opened an experimental wind farm, hoping alternative energy sources can one day ease occasional power shortages, while reducing the island's dependence on oil, state news media reported Sunday. The C$4-million park, featuring six, 55-metre windmills and known as "Los Canarreos," was established on Isla de la Juventud, an island south of Havana, the Communist party youth newspaper Juventud Rebelde reported. Exactly when the park was inaugurated was unclear but officials estimate during its first year of operation it could produce 1,800 megawatts of electricity. That would save Cuba about $160,000 in oil costs on the international market, the newspaper said.
