When we get hot, perspiration forms and evaporates. This pulls heat out of the body and maintains normal body temperature, The sweat also carries fair amounts of salts with it which are important for the body. A deficiency of these salts causes weakness and sometimes severe cramps.Heat exhaustion occurs when someone has perspired heavily after long exertion or on a very hot day. The body will then
I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me today, but I am done. There goes my plans to start the week of right! lol. No weekend ending drinkies for me. It is 8:30 and I will probably be asleep before or by 9.
Oh…well forget it now. I am on a mission to add [...]
When this blog started, in January, I was writing about hypothermia and frostbite, and summer seemed like it was years away. Now suddenly IT IS HERE! This past week in Pennsylvania it has been above 90, and the humidity seems to match! So, now in honor of Summer, I want to write [...]
This April weather is outrageous--70s. Forecasters predict a high of 77 degrees today and 80 tomorrow. April in Vermont isn't supposed to have weather like this. It's usually rainy, and we've had very little rain so far. You know, April showers bring May flowers, not April summers bring May bummers. This means we've hit summer in our mobile home. Today's temp indoors will reach mid to upper 80s thanks to the sauna properties of this building that just soaks up all the outdoor elements: freeze in winter, roast in summer (and apparently in spring 2008). I don't want to be here for Wednesday. We've already had to pull out the fan, and might have to consider the air conditioner if temps stay up. NT's intolerance to heat necessitate some type of cooling system so he doesn't get heat exhaustion w
The only word that comes to mind. My weekend was even exhausting. Even my day off before was. Good exhausting. Friends and family exhausting. Baby shower and Easter brunch with extended family exhausting. Work, and work other than work are more than exhausting. But work should lighten up after next week. And three more for work other than work. Then I'll sleep. Hopefully.
Blogging exhaustion can happen to any blogger, whether you are relatively new to the scene and working hard to get your blog noticed, or are a blogging pro who's struggling to juggle blogging with work and family life.If you've suffered from this yourself, you probably know what it's like: tiredness, headaches, a lack of enthusiasm for posting or replying to comments and emails... This often happens when bloggers work too hard and don't give themselves a break, particularly when they are so passionate about their blog that it takes over every spare minute of the day!I'm writing this post as it seems many others in the blogosphere are feeling the same way. There is no magic pill to overcome this, though I do have some tips which may well help!
In my opinion, blogging should be fun! When we begin blogging, most of us look forward to writing our posts, reading comments others have left for us, checking our RSS readers to see what our favorite bloggers have written about recently,
I am exhausted. Only about ten more minutes left and I can start counting down my register. Tonight's the last night I'll spend in the dorms. It feels great, let me tell you. I was going to do some packing tonight, but I think I'd rather wake up early and do it in the morning. Yeah, I'm that tired right now.Work was super busy tonight. Why must it be busy when I really need to just relax? It's especially tough when I have a headache and my jaw muscles get all tensed up. It's so hard to smile and be friendly when your head hurts.Wow, I'm falling asleep. Sleep is good. I want... sleep...Moving tomorrow. I'd show more excitement but like I said, I'm exhausted. Whew.Digg This! ~ del.icio.us ~ Stumble It!
push yourself well past exhaustion to the brinkand when you collapse from all the weightis there a way to not be thrust into despair, but instead find out how to make yourself strongerso that you can carry more andgo further next time.
Is it a good sign when you wake up Monday morning completely exhausted? Yeah, I didn't think so.
My weekend was a busy one, full of "chicken duty" and I'm sure that really interests y'all too, right? You're just dying to read a post full of details about smelly, dead chickens and worse, aren't ya? Once again, I didn't think so. I'll be kind and spare you the agony.
Both Spud and Sis woke up Sunday with soar throats and stuffy noses. Lord, please don't let this last all winter. It seems once they start, it continues until spring.
Spud has decided to be a Star Wars Clone Trooper for halloween. I had to order his costume off the internet, since, of course, he picked something you can't find in any store. Now each morning I'm awakened with the question, "Do you think this will be the day my package comes?" I guess the $40 bucks it would have cost to over-night it might have been worth it after all.
They opened a new Olive Garden Italian Restaurant close to us and I'm pla
A 30-year-old man in China was died after a three days non-stop playing Internet games at a cybercafe in the city of Guangzhou on Sept. 15, 2007, the Beijing News reported. About 100 Web surfers witnessed the incident in that afternoon and left the cybercafe in fear. The unnamed man fainted after he had been playing online games for three days straight. Paramedics failed to revive him and he was
Complete randomness, but what’s a girl to do. It’s either this or don’t blog at all and I’m getting harassing emails about the latter.
Success: I had meet the creature night tonight. That’s the night where parents come to see the freak that’s caring for and teaching their child all day. One of my mentors when I was in university called it that and it stuck. It was actually fantastic, and always is. We had a huge bbq in the gym with about 1000 people and I got to visit with lots of “my kids” from past years (which is one of my favourite things to do - I love them all). Even bigger than the success of the evening at school was the success of the evening at home while I wasn’t here. In 16 months, the BG has successfully gotten the boy to bed about two times. It’s not that he doesn’t try. He’s a very involved father but Daddy time = play time and the boy usually either gets super hyper and runs like a crazy man
On top of living on Allied Drive, my job in part involves employment on Allied Drive. Add to that, being on the board of a non-profit that serves Allied Drive, serving on two city commissions that devote a good chunk of time "dealing with Allied Drive" and writing for the neighborhood paper, Voices. In between all of that, I try to keep up with community events and this blog – at the end of the day, I am often tired of Allied Drive myself. Needless to say, if I see anything involving Allied Drive running in circles, I really don’t want too much to do with it. This whole CDA thing, to me, feels like a big semi-truck coming at us 90 miles-per-hour. We can stand out in the street with our hands out gesturing for it to stop and hope for the best. Or we can pick up our prized belongings and get the hell out of the way, and hope there will not be a whole lot of damage at the end of it all. I have heard the pro-CDA and anti-CDA arguments, and from my observation, there really is no
The Sun is reporting that the latest collapse, done by Amy Winehouse, was due to a drug overdose, and not exhaustion as her rep & record label claim. She arrived at a hospital and "was given an adrenaline shot in the early hours drama. And she had her stomach pumped." DLISTED had a great idea, her and Pete Doherty would make a lovely couple.

Here's how it goes since I have been off work following my hysterectomy.I wake up when the Palinode hobbles off to catch a taxi to work. I read a little bit from a magazine or a book or the internet, and then at about 11:30 a.m., I turn over for a nap. When I wake, I might do a sinkload of dishes, which I find very tiring, because it involves standing, so at about 2:30 p.m., I lie down again. Sometimes I can't sleep, but I can't read, either, so I watch Onion lick himself and try not to think about how boring it is to be too tired to do anything. I have a shower at about 4:00 p.m. Then, the Palinode comes home. I stay awake until he comes to bed, but frankly, the shower I took was tiring, and so I spend my time absently surfing the internet. Occasionally, we will go out after he gets off work or I will have coffee at a local café that has wireless, but that means that I will spend even more of the next day asleep than usual.Coffee helps. It at least gives me some ment
I'm tired.
VBS is finally coming to a close tonight. This has really been the best set of 3rd & 4th graders that I've ever had. They all listened so well and were able to answer all the questions too. I'm just exhausted from all the excitement.
The week has been extra busy because we have been host to my mom and little sis, plus my neighbor's children rode with us all week also. And to top it all off, we have been trying to prepare for next week's camping trip!
There is just lots going on which makes for a lack of bloggity-ness for me. Just wanted to let anyone reading know that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth.
Comedian Dave Chapelle suffered from a bout of exhaustion over the weekend and was hospitalized. After being in the emergency room for a couple of hours on Saturday he was later released. Apparently his publicist claims he “had been travelling” and he was “exhausted.” What the hell does he do anymore to cause him “exhaustion.” He walked away from $50 million for his highly rated tv show and now does occasional standup work. Big freakin deal. If Oprah said she was exhausted I’d believe that one, with her building african children schools, tv show, charity events, blah, blah…. But Dave Chapelle doesn’t do anything. Get a freaking nine to five Chapelle and raise a couple of kids and then come back to me and we’ll talk about what is classified as “exhaustion.”
It’s very energy-draining to rush over to Clementi right after work and my own warm-up can easily soften my legs after that.I don’t know if it’s because I’m too tired or simply depressed; sometimes I feel like bursting out out of a sudden.

My work week is officially over. I’ve been semi-sick all day and have booked a sub for tomorrow. On my fifth day of work. Hmmm. Lack of sleep and relaxation time wreaks havoc on the immune system.
Working is SO MUCH HARDER than being a stay at home mom and I don’t [...]
As I do with most things, I overdid the last 2 days here in Mexico. Tuesday I spent the afternoon wandering around the town square and looking at different shops. Yesterday I spent my afternoon exploring the ruins of Chichenitza on a guided tour. The tour was pretty lame but the ruins are incredible. I highly recommend visiting the site, minus the tour guide. But I spent too much time in the sun with too little water and too little rest so by last night, I was sick with exhaustion. I'm still wiped out today. Not much to report in the way of copywriting news. We've got a few apprentices on task but since I'm on vacation things have slowed down a bit. I certainly needed the down time so I won't get worked up about it. That doesn't do much good anyway so I'll just roll with it. :)I promise you'll have a terrific recap of my trip to Cozumel (complete with photos) very soon!Til then, enjoy yourself and I'll see you soon.Lara
In a post which I initially thought was a joke and upon realizing it is not made me miss the days when artists didn't keep blogs or make themselves so accesible to fans, thus making them seem legendary and, at the very least likable, Lily Allen discusses why she canceled her tour. Aside from the fact that she can't spell or doesn't "seem" to recognize double entendres (see below for seems=seams), she comes off sounding like a lazy, drunk bitch. I liked her, I really did. Now she is relegated to a step above Avril Lavigne and I didn't even buy tickets to her show-or at least the unimportant ones (read anything that is not a huge festival or anything outside of LA, Seattle, NY or Charleston). Below is a list of where you can see her, assuming you still find her worth our time, since obviously, your not worth hers. Tonight: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" April 18th: "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" June 18: "Late Show with David Letterman"As a publicist I have to wonder who exactly is wor
Both of my kids took turns being sick for the last three weeks. I have not gotten much sleep. I am exhausted. As soon as my head hits the pillow at night, I am completely knocked out until one of the kids cries out "Mommmieee!" because his nose is too stuffy at 2:11am. If I don't move or talk for 2 minutes, my eyes close and I start to shut down automatically. So, I have been eating. Eating my way out of exhaustion. I seem to crave all sorts of food and I am just shoving food into my mouth. Do not know if it is my body trying to look for another source of energy since I am not giving it enough sleep. Do not know if my appetite realizing that I am weak is taking advantage of my lack of restraint. Do not know if my emotions are trying to comfort themselves with food. Not sure. Whatever the reason is I am consuming entire loafs of bread, whole packages of cheese, and a pot of raviolis with a serving spoon while standing in front of the stove - all in one day. I need some slee
If you use forex charts trading exhaustion gaps can be hugely profitable. There one of the most reliable chart patterns to trade if you know how to take advantage of them. They don’t come around often in forex trading but when they do, there a great formation and you can get some great profits.
