Radar magazine published this information stating that the film was able to hit the 500 million dollar mark due to the total cost for production, publicity and marketing. The magazine published this information even though sources associated with the production of the film stated that it did not cost 500 million but 350 million dollars. Laura Ziskin, a producer for the movie contested the statement that the movie costed 350 million dollars.
