I wanted to dedicate a post towards affordable, but very good brush sets. Feel free to add on information about other good, inexpensive brushes that you like. Before investing a bunch on my current brushes, my brush stash consisted of Essence of Beauty brushes I had bought at CVS. I love most of the brushes I have from this line. They’re very soft, durable, and apply make-up so well. My favourite brushes from the line are the eye shadow brush, the crease brush, and the angled blush brush. One good thing about these brushes being so cheap is that I know I wouldn’t be devastated if I used them roughly or they lost their shape. So I really use the heck out of them. And throughout my continuous abuse, the brushes have held up so well and are still in their initial shape. I was my brushes regularly and even after a few years, the brushes are not scratchy and they barely shed. In fact, the EOB angled blush brush shed less than my MAC 136 brush. There are a few misses in the line
The essence of mind is like the white screen at a movie theater. With all the images and drama, although the movie is not long, we quickly forget about the white screen and it is the images that seem real. Likewise, our essence of mind has been forgotten and we take all the mental content and thought as real. We do not need to purify the mind, but remember the unborn essence of mind.

The essence of mind is intrinsically pure; it is like the white screen you see when you go to a movie theater before the movie starts. It is white and pure, but during the movie (which is not long) we forget about the pure white screen and we think the images are what is real (for that is what we see). Likewise, we start out with a pure mind – but then we learn to start thinking and overthinking. Eventually, we think the thoughts images are what is real. We forget about the essence of our mind…the unborn mind…the uncreated mind…the unconditioned mind.
But in life, we take it a step further and misidentify with the passing images of thought…this is “me”, “my” life story, etc. We are none of the passing thought images. We are the Unborn.

Just in case you were already of the opinion the magazine had “joke/comical" tendencies, the magazine went on ahead and jumped the broom and made it official. Having nothing to do with the fact that they played themselves, selling out to give Juanita Bynum a platform for more foolishness in the wake of her “new face of domestic violence” campaign. In the same issue they released their “Top 25 List of Most Influential African-Americans for 2007.” Not that there aren’t some people on this list below who Mo’Kelly both respects and admires…but there are some absolutely ridiculous inclusions that just can’t and shouldn’t be ignored. Home conceptualization and designs normally originate from people who put their resourcefulness and creativity to good use. In most cases, people rely on reference designs and whatever they see when they are out looking for something new to apply in their homes.
Surely, people have a lot in mind. Decors and designs are something that will run through their minds and selecting them will come to a hard process. Possibilities are indeed plenty and until they are sure of going the way of one particular design, chances are it may take time before they can fully appreciate and pick what home design or home theme they truly want.

…and why I hate/hated Mrs. Elzey.
I’m one of those rare people who had both a private school and a public school education, which was a real honor. The private school I went to for grades 6-8, where everyone called each other by their first names and there were only about 85 people, was quite political and is the single reason I’m as liberal as I am. Participating in Model UN was mandatory, field trips to science museums were constant, we had a school-wide bowling day and we had recess. Recess folks, and when the weather got nicer I don’t think we ever stayed inside for more than an hour.
Then I went to a public high school. The same high school as two other authors here at The Seminal, the same high school as both of my parents, my uncles, and of course my older brother. I even had some of the same teachers. Where do I start?
In preparation for this rant I emailed some friends from high school and asked them to compare the person I was then to who I am now. Many said
Usher and Tameka are back in the press. Only this time, the beautiful couple are featured on the November cover of Essence magazine.
With a new marriage and baby on the way, both Usher and Tameka are beaming with joy. Essence’s November issue features a cover story about the couple and their challenges on the road to the altar.
Although I don’t want to give the story away, the journalist, Joan Morgan, gets Usher and Tameka to open up about their relationship, how they met, the naysayers, and their baby son on the way.

“Ours is not a typical love story, but it is a true one. Tameka and I have been fortunate enough to go through the thick of it in the beginning. We’ve had that opportunity to huddle up as a team, to make sure that we’re clear and speak as one voice.”
