When Will the French Demonstrate Against the Escalating Food & Gas Prices?
For a country that is King of demonstrating against injustices inflicted on its people, I honestly don’t know why no one has done anything about the unreasonably high food prices, and now, gas prices. The fleecing of France by merchants charging exorbitant food costs began 6 years ago with the introduction of the euro. [...]

      SoCal home price declines escalating
One of the reasons that builders of new homes were so quick to drop their prices was to collapse the time period between peak and trough. Owners of resale homes, however, were typically more psychologically attached to peak prices and so have been much more loathe to decrease prices, at least until recently. That's why we're now seeing price declines for existing homes continue and even escalate. From a story in the L.A. Times:Southern California home prices continued to fall at a record pace in February, and are now at 2004 levels, a real estate information service reported today. The median price for a Southland home last month was $408,000, down 17.6% from a year ago, according to DataQuick Information Systems. Area home prices have now fallen 19% on average from their peaks last yea

      The Escalating Breakfast
I had a day of eating this past Sunday that only a pregnant woman could top. I’m not sure how it happened, but here it is: Breakfast: cereal. “Lunch”: Scrambled Eggs and Toast. “Dinner”: Blueberry Pancakes with Peanut Butter, Maple Syrup and Turkey Sausage. It was delicious, and I never felt physically bad for eating that way. In fact my Sunday was best described as relaxing and comforting. I’m curious what other people consider as “comfort food”. And, has anyone else ever had a three breakfast day?

Why are Real Estate Prices Escalating in Jerusalem?
The most attractive locations to foreign buyers are all the neighborhoods surrounding the center of town, Talbia, Rehavia, Nachlaot, German Colony, Katamon, and Baka. Some Haredi neighborhoods are sky-rocketing as well, such as Gush 80, Ramat Eshkol and especially Shari Hessed, where prices are among the highest in the country. Even the neighborhood of Musrara, which until recently has been considered the slums, is attracting many Americans due to its proximity to the center of town and the Kotel, prices there are escalating as well. In fact, all the neighborhoods desirable to foreigners are within a thirty to forty minute walk to the Kotel.

      Escalating Parking Fees
So called 'Gas Guzzlers' are facing a huge rise in the cost of residents' parking permits in Richmond, the home of YourParkingSpace. The BBC have reported that Richmond residents with two high-emission cars could pay £750 compared to the £200 a year currently paid.It was only a few years ago that parking restrictions were introduced in parts of Richmond, originally designed to help local residents be able to park their car outside their home. It now seems these regulations are being used to prosecute certain motorists, although fairly environmentalists would say. It's sure to create quite a debate if introduced nationwide.

      Escalating Costs at Camp Perry
The State of Ohio has raised the minimun wage from $5.15 per hour to $6.85 per hour. NRA hires over 60 young people to work on the range engineering crew at Camp Perry. The increase that we will have to spend in 2007 could be significant. I am in the process of reviewing salaries for the 2006 Championships. This will add to the red ink that NRA is already experiencing.
