As we have mentioned previously, The Jaunt was not too big on the gritty Steelers adopting a mascot prior to this season. However, that choice seems a hell of a lot wiser than the team's recent choice of the actual name for the mascot. After mulling over approximately 70,000 entries from fans, the organization decided to go with the name that sounded most like that of a gay porn star. Steely McBeam.The name was submitted by Diane Roles of Valencia, who receives a VIP package for four to the Steelers' Sept. 16 home opener against the Buffalo Bills. She will also get an authentic Steelers throwback helmet and jersey, just like those that will be worn by the team that day. Are you kidding me? Aww man, I just flat out feel bad for those old school; die hard Steelers fans who don't even want this goofy mascot in the first place. The fans really got it up the ass on this one. When you travel an area for enough times you begin to discover things that stand out, in this case I do surveys regarding ancient monuments. In previous posts I’ve written about the special Iron Age dolmens, this time I thought that I would put a special form of erect stones on display.
Erected stones are markers for prehistoric graves, they are found on grave fields and standing all alone or in small groups. They can also stand on mounds, in Sweden it is generally so that erect stones represent male graves and round stone sphere represent female graves. This hypostasis is general and absolute and is referred to regarding mounds and in some cases filled stone settings from the Iron Age.

The Hollywood leftists and liberals all over America are having a bad day today. Warsaw plans to erect a statue of late President Ronald Reagan in Warsaw, Poland. Funds for the monument will not come from tax raises or a social program, but will be paid for through private contributors.The city of Katowice, the mayor recieved an open letter from former anti-communist groups to raise a monument to Reagan in place of an old communist soviet statue. The statue sits in the center of the city's Freedom Square. It would be renamed "Ronald reagan Freedom Square.The letter desrcibed the late President as a "symbol of liberty". City spokesman Waldemar Bojarun said the city will consider the move, however, funding will have to be discussed later as the city has "other pressing matters".
