On September 3, 2008, resident GOP Goomah, Sarah Palin, fondled the imaginations of middle aged, Viagra chomping, gun-toting, red-blooded American men, saying, “...what is the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick.” This sent a very confusing message to hockey fans.
My reaction was as follows:

Today, 80 percent of Americans think our country is on the wrong track.

Most people would never think something is hiding inside this AC adapter, much less think that it's actually fake. This AC adapter from Ajoka not only poses as the real thing even though it isn't, it also hides a QCIF (176x144) resolution video camera that records video in 3GP format. Built-in batteries will enable it to run for 3 hours straight (less than a night, but hey) and the recorded videos can be saved on up to 2GB in a memory card. It will also work while plugged into a wall socket, which is expected, of course. If only they didn't break the good disguise with the lack of wiring. Was it really that hard to include it?Via [Oh! WARREN, Michigan (AP) — The lithium-ion batteries to be used in General Motors’ Chevrolet Volt electric car will soon be installed and tested in specially-equipped versions of the Chevrolet Malibu, the company said.
This will allow the automaker to test the batteries in actual driving situations, the company said during a media event in the Detroit suburb of Warren.
According to GM’s plans, the Volt will be produced as a mainstream electric vehicle that can be recharged by being plugged into a household outlet. It will have a small gasoline engine that will be used only to recharge the vehicle’s batteries if they run down while driving.
Because of the extreme power demands involved in driving a car in the real world, the vehicle would be powered by lithium-ion batte
What constitutes the minimum equipment that recreational divers should have and use on every dive? To some degree, this will be a factor of the environment and the purpose of the dive. Divers in cold water require more thermal protection than divers in warm water. Divers engaged in activities, such as underwater photography or night, deep, wreck, ice or cavern diving, require additional specialized diving equipment that sight-seeing divers in shallow, open water may not need. There is, however, certain equipment items that most experts believe recreational divers should have and use on every dive. The following is a brief overview of each of these items. Mask, Snorkel and Fins These are the most basic of all diving equipment. Masks allow divers to see underwater without distortion. Snork

Other Essential EquipmentA cooler (stocked with ice) keeps beverages and lunch cold and your catch fresh. Consider the cooler's weight, bulk, and durability when purchasing, as well as the size and quantity of fish you expect to keep. The cooler must be able to close completely without the fish's tails hanging out. Wheels can be a nice feature, but they are not useful on soft sand or uneven jetties. Fingernail clippers make clean cuts in fishing line. This essential piece of equipment is inexpensive and small enough to store in a tackle box compartment. A bait knife, used primarily to cut bait, is useful, inexpensive, multipurpose tool. Get one that is heavy duty and the right size to store easily in your tackle box. Some bait knives have a serrated edge, good for removing fish scales. A Fillet knife is fine bladed and very sharp and should be used only for filleting fish. Keep yours sharp and out of harm's way, in its own compartment in your tackle box. Use a chum pot to dis
Tackle Boxes & BackpacksThere is no getting around it, you will need a tackle box to carry and stow equipment. So with all the different types, sizes, materials, and price ranges, which one is perfect for you? That is up to you, because the choice is a matter of personal preference; no one type is decidedly better than another. And all tackle boxes have numerous compartments of different sizes suitable to house lures, jigs, sinkers, hooks, swivels, leader line, small tools, and other supplies. So the choice is really up to you.A well-organized tackle box will keep your gear reasonably dry, neatly consolidates, and readily accessible, and will enable you to accurately inventory is contents. A disorganized tackle box is a chamber of horrors. Tackle becomes tangled, you won't be able to find what you need-much less extricate it easily-and you'll likely poke yourself of hooks as you try to disengage them. So keep it clean.A standard student's backpack makes a convenient tackle box b
Essential Fishing EquipmentRods and ReelsFor the beginning angler, a good choice of rod is a 6- to 7- foot moderate- to fast-action spinning rod. It is sufficient for just about every type of fish, from Scup to large Bluefish or even striped bass. And after you've gained experience and acquired definite opinions, you can increase your rod inventory judiciously. With the rod you will need a spinning reel to match the spinning rod. The spinning reel should be capable of holding at least 150 yards of 20- to 30-pound test mono filament line. But I recommend you use that pound test except use Power Pro, 'cause this type of line is braided and can hold up to about 2 to 4 times the size pound. You could also avoid any question of properly matching the rod and reel by purchasing a rod and reel combination outfit. The manufacturer has already done the thinking for ya.For hooks and lures, it's best to learn the type of fish that are running and which species can be targeted in the area you
Before you buy your equipment, you should know how you're going to fish. Some people prefer to sit or stand on a dock; others enjoy standing at the edge of the surf on a sandy shore. Still others prefer a day on a boat on the open water. And each technique requires different equipment, and it usually takes 2 or 3 fishing trips before you know what you need for your style of fishing. With that said, there is a whole tackle box full of equipment that everyone needs, so I'll talk about some of that here. There is much to choose from at tackle shops-enough to confuse even the most advanced angler. Some items are designed primarily to attract humans rather than fish. Just remember the K.I.S.S saying-Keep it simple stupid. And stay focused on what's needed, and avoid large chain stores, whose sales depend on volume. I say this because you will receive the best advice from regular mom-and-pop tackle shops, who know what they are actually doing. Now with all of that said lets get started

The Nissan Quest’s tough exterior Nissan parts are not the only things that define the safety and comfort of this small family van as it is now equipped with MicronAir that makes the air inside the cabin cleaner.
Pure comfort is said to be guaranteed by the MicronAir, which is produced by the Filtration Division of the German company Freudenberg Nonwoven, for the Nissan Quest passengers. According to studies done by Freudenberg, the air inside an automobile is actually more polluted that the air outside. The enclosed confine of a vehicle provides a very limited area for the air to circulate, thus more impurities stay put. Special air filters like MicronAir can be just the solution for this cabin air problem.
Well-crafted specialty automotive filters are used in order to sift through the air that comes into the mini van’s cabin. This special feature of the Nissan Quest provides passengers with a cleaner air compared to those that are not equipped with it. The HVAC System
Epson intros LED-equipped Perfection V500 flatbed scannerIt's been a hot minute since a flatbed scanner was able to impress, but Epson's USB 2.0 Perfection V500 manages to do exactly that. Sporting a 6400dpi optical resolution and 48-bit color depth, the V500 steps it way up by also throwing in the firm's ReadyScan LED technology, 'which delivers fast scans and no warm-up time.' Furthermore, you can expect nonexistent wait times when flipping between reflective and film scanning, less power usage, and a LED that automatically 'adjusts the color of the light source based on the type of original being scanned, using white light for positive film and blue light for negative film.' Not too shabby at all for $249.99, and for those needing an Automatic Document Feeder, the optional add-on will soon be available for $199.99.(Via Engadget.)

Well it appears that despite all of our wishing, hoping, and positive-thinking exercises, Microsoft has failed to deliver on a small dream of ours, namely, 65nm chips for the new HDMI-rocking Xbox 360 Premiums. Despite signs pointing otherwise, new photos show that this batch of systems continue to carry the Zephyr motherboard layout, which uses the older, hotter 90nm chips, though the boys in Redmond have addressed the heat issue a little bit with the addition of a second "daughter" heatsink attached to the CPU by heatpipe. The new 65nm "Falcon" boards -- which chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) confirmed are in production -- are still on their way according to the rumor mill, slated for release sometime this Fall. Interestingly, Microsoft and TSMC have just laid plans to produce the Xbox's graphics-memory subsystem using the chip manufacturer's 90nm embedded DRAM spec. We won't speculate on when we'll start seeing that addition appear,
While a USB keyboard may do the ivory-ticklers in the crowd some good, Crate is looking out for the six-string warriors by shipping its USB-equipped Profiler 5 mini amplifier. This five-watt combo guitar amp measures in at less than eight-inches tall and weighs just six-pounds, and aside from giving users the option of powering it via an AC adapter or six AA cells, there's also an auxiliary input for rocking along with your DAP. More important, however, is the rear-mounted USB port (shown after the jump), which enables guitarists to easily record their shredding without any external breakout boxes. So if you think you can give the twin four-inch speakers in Crate's latest all they can handle, the Profiler 5 is available now for $159.99.Continue reading Crate ships USB-equipped Profiler 5 mini guitar amplifier(Via Engadget.)

MSI's Bluetooth-equipped MS-5552 DAP goes 50 hours nonstopLooks like Aigo's A215 finally has some decent competition, as MSI's recently announced MS-5552 digital audio player matches the purported battery life minute for minute, but requires just a single AAA battery rather than the more traditional AA cell. Additionally, the larger, more vivid screen sure helps the MSI's appearance, but we're fairly certain that activating the built-in Bluetooth will knock those hours down in a hurry. Still, the aluminum alloy enclosure, D-pad styled controls, and integrated wireless functions aren't anything to sneeze at, but unfortunately MSI isn't so willing to unveil pricing and availability details just yet.(Via Engadget.)

Free Calls & SMS, Free Nokia: Motion Detector-Equipped Cell Phones Could Be The Next Big ThingThe cell phone has taken another step forward. Or backward, if you happen to be in the way. The latest change to the always adapting technology comes in Japan, where that country's top mobile phone carrier, NTT DoCoMo, has added a new wrinkle to what's quickly becoming one of the hottest uses for the devices - video games. It's launched several new models with motion sensors that allow users to literally wave their phones around and make them act like the Nintendo Wii. That video game console became famous when it replaced the traditional joystick with a remote that lets players bowl, serve up a game of tennis or control the action on screen simply by moving its controller. Now that same technology has been packaged into a cell phone. What does that mean? People who want to play games on their handset are now being offered a range of activities never before possible. There's a tennis game
