Avete presente tutte quelli faccine così simpatiche e piene di fantasia che imbrattano le nostre conversazioni su messanger?
Bene oggi la maggior parte delle suddette faccine (quasi tutte per la verità) sono finite direttamente nel cestino del mio portatile.
Finalmente ora riesco a scrivere “discorso” senza che mi salti fuori un ballerino anni settanta che dovrebbe rappresentare la “disco”.
Sono costretto ad ammetterlo: alcune emoticons non me la sono sentita di cancellarle (il mio famoso ghgh) perchè alcune finiscono col rappresentare un po’ il mio ego e alla fine di un discorso leggibile riescono talvolta a rappresentare bene il contesto e il tono con cui andava letta la frase (alcune sono fatte davvero bene, devo ammetterlo).
In fin dei conti le emoticons dovrebbero dare l’umore di una persona in più alle fredde parole di una chattata, proporre le emozioni e simulare il tono che la persona dovrebbe avere se fosse di fronte all&rs

Now all you have to do is download this Gmail Emoticons Script. Make sure Greasemonkey is installed and enabled before downloading the script. Then restart your Firefox to complete the installation. After restarting, open your Gmail compose mail and see the Emoticons option.

Con Emoticu podemos crear nuestros propios emoticons para el messenger, simplemente debemos indicar la imagen la cual queremos convertirla a emoticon, ya sea desde nuestra computadora, o desde una pagina de internet, ya que subimos la imagen, nos da la opcion de recortar la zona de la imagen que queremos que se convierta en emoticon. Ya que terminemos de editar nuestra imagen le damos clic en el boton “Convertir” y descargamos el emoticon a nuestra computadora al tamaño ideal para el messenger.

Algo que no se porque razón Microsoft no ha implementado en el famoso Windows Live Messenger es una utilidad para respaldar nuestros emoticons que a veces pueden llegar a ser muchos. Si necesitas formatear tu computadora y no quieres perder la gran cantidad de emoticons que has recolectado durante tus largas horas de chat en el Messenger esto te va a interesar.
Todos los emoticons se guardan en una carpeta oculta del sistema llamada:
C:Documents and Settings<usuario pc>Configuración localDatos de programaMicrosoftMessenger<correo del msn>ObjectStoreCustomEmoticons
Una forma de respaldar los emoticons es acceder a esa ruta en el navegador (copien y peguen en un explorador de windows) y cambien las etiquetas <usuario pc> y <correo del msn> por sus datos. Una ves que accedan al directorio se encontraran una serie de archivos con nombres medios raros con extension .id2 y .dt2 (para ver las extensiones tienen que tener activada esa opción en el menu her
I use Windows Messenger (or one of its later versions) since years ago. Although Google Talk is more accessible since it’s integrated with GMail, it’s clear that MSN Messenger (now Live Messenger) , is a more mature product and by its nature as a desktop product, offers a superior feature set.
One of those cool features Messenger has is the fact it allows the user to customize his/her emoticons for MSN. Not many people know that they can search the web and find extra cool emoticons that they can later install and use in interactions with their contacts.
In a Web Messaging context, an emoticon is pretty much a graphical file (generally a *.gif file), that you can display by clicking a seria of characters.
So where you can find custom emoticons for MSN ?

Here’s a list of all the emoticons available in MSN Messenger. You can use them in your nicknames or during chatting with your friends. These are just the default ones that come with MSN/Windows Live Messenger, but if you want more, you’ll have to wait for my next post.

Dopo moltissimo tempo, finalmente sono state inserite le emiticons in Google Talk Gadget. Se chattate utilizzando Gtalk non avrete potuto fare a meno di notare che a parte pochissime iconcine, l’emoticons non erano presenti.
Da pochissimo invece se ci provate anche voi potrete visualizzarle e già utilizzarle. Le categorie di emoticons che abbiamo a disposizione sono 3. Nella prima categoria troviamo le iconcine a tema tondo, nella seconda quadrate mentre nell’ultima categoira troviamo quelle minimali che ci sono sempre state.
Se utilizzate spesso Gtalk leggete anche come mettere Gtalk nella sidebar di Firefox.

Por fin! Luego de años desde que se lanzara el servicio, aparentemente Google Talk está implementando emoticons gráficos en su Google Talk Gadget.
Vaya, parece que casi han abandonado por completo la versión de escritorio, verdad? Primero la integración de youtube y fotos en el google talk gadget de igoogle, y ahora emoticons….
Si no fuera porque usualmente paro abriendo y cerrando Firefox varias veces al día, la verdad es que tendría al google talk gadget corriendo continuamente en mi sidebar, pero de momento, a pesar de la falta de actualizaciones, me veo obligado a seguir usando la versión de escritorio.
Ya pues google, para cuando una actualización para la versión de escritorio?
Los packs de emoticons, son tres, que en realidad, son bastante similares. Tenemos a los emoticons en forma de burbuja de texto, a los cuadrados (thwomps?), y a los típicos de texto.

Just when I thought, it’s only Yahoo! Messenger that has the most fun emoticons, Rico Mossesgeld, a contract working guru with a very informative blog, shared some tips on how to create more Gmail emoticons aside from the generic ones.
Although they’re not as colorful or as emotional such as the crying and laughing emoticons from YM, still something that will make GTalking less of a bore, right?
Gmail’s smilies do more than express emotions. Such as hug (awwww), raise its arms up for joy, be a caterpillar, and even give the double-finger salute. All you need is a little imagination , an affinity for one-line ASCII art, and the willingness of your recipient to receive nonsensical messages. Gmail chat only works with online contacts after all.
Just one problem, I have no affinity for ASCII art. :`(

Since many of this website visitors enjoy chatting on our shoutbox; I am going to let them express themselves more by using this built-in functions to create smileys or emoticons… For example, I am sure Nize will find the fart smiley very handy, right buddy? hehe! MSN BackUp è un software gratuito che ci consente di effettuare importazione ed esportazione di Animoticons, Avatar, Emoticons, Sfondi e Fotografie da Microsoft MSN Messenger 7, 7.5 e Live Messenger 8.0 e 8.1.
