      Elvis Costello - Momofuku
Quirky, Ironic and Relevant:Elvis - Show 'em how it's done!Elvis CostelloAt 53 years young, the great Elvis Costello has released "Momofuku" - a brand new collection of 12 songs that demonstrate that not only is the artist still a inventive storyteller, but hugely relevant as well. Costello recorded the sessions with backing band The Imposters (Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher) but spen

Vintage Bin: Elvis Costello & the Attractions, “Lipstick Vogue”
First, take note of the padded pole. That's in the event of some rabid Elvis fan trying to hug her man, he can check her into the padding. Then take note of the rain, which has soaked Costello's carnation suit so that it seems more like pink sherbet.

Elvis Costello Finds Meaning In Ramen
Elvis Costello must have gotten a new bong. We’re talking glass on glass, double diffuser with a glycerin coil and a bowl that puts away a quad. He’s probably got a pound of some Afghani Kush and a vial of hash oil packed and ready to go anytime he needs to post a blog. At least that’s what it seems like

Elvis Costello - My Aim is True
Elvis Costello kicked off his debut album with a formal device that would also serve his next two long-players well: the first thing you hear is his voice. That opening phrase--"Now that your picture's in the paper..."--was more than sneakily, if not intentionally, appropriate, since Costello was quickly declared the second coming. It's become de rigueur to dis the pub-rock backing of U.S. band Clover, but their work here is satisfactorily edgy; guitarist John McFee makes some of the arrangements with his wailingly articulate fills.

The Best of Elvis Costello: The First 10 Years - With a Twist: Secret Recordings!
As if a tour with Bob Dylan this year and a re-release of his celebrated career material wasn't enough - Elvis Costello had to up the ante.... Ten randomly selected packages of ELVIS COSTELLO: The First 10 Years will have an added bonus. Ten of the copies of this collection have hand-recorded CDRs with home-recorded material popped in by Elvis Costello personally! Talk about bonus material....! What's even more bizarre - the insertions were done in April and still, no one has reported finding one of the secret recordings... (I hear Ebay is already starting its enginges!) Here is the scoop - straight from Elvis' mouth in an interview with the Tennessean.com:"I recorded some new melodies for some of my older songs, and for a gag I recorded them on just a cassette player. And I didn't have a microphone so I plugged in headphones into the tape recorder, because you switch them backwards, they work as a microphone. I didn't want to be like a Luddite, so I put them on a CDR, and I put 1

Elvis Costello - The First 10 Years
There have been numerous Elvis Costello compilations, but this new release focuses on the most fertile period of his career, the first ten years. Elvis Costello - Rock And Roll Music Review
Elvis Costello is a busy man. He has been constantly releasing records, with a no longer than a 3 year gap between them, since his startling debut, My Aim Is True in 1977. Over the last thirty years we have seen Elvis go through many different phases...
