A few elves came to the tacoshack yesterday and dropped off some holiday treats - one of the elves came from Changes in Latitudes and the other from Houston. We have been sampling the sweets and they are delicious.Not to gloat but every day I go outside and I think man it is hot and how lucky we are to be living here - it's December and for the second year in a row we are not experiencing snow storms and cold weather - that is something to be extremely grateful for.Tonight we are going to meet up with some of the gang for the official opening of the Casino. One of the next big franchises that will be entering the MMO community is Warhammer. This seems to be the week of recognising (quite rightly) the other half of the cause of Utopia's brilliance - namely, the behind the scenes geniuses/genii. When one only sees half of the goings-on, it can be easy to forget that there is another half, and what hard graft must be involved in it, too.Brendan Lemon gives a round of applause to the costume crew this week, including a nice insight into the backstage world of outfits (and lots of them...). Here's a great gift idea for you. The Elf on the Shelf is a fun Christmas book you can read to your kids. You also get a little "elf" to name (we named our elf "Elvis" - my daughter's idea, I promise). The idea is that the elf is sent to your house from Santa himself to watch over your kids for the last few weeks before Christmas. Every morning, the elf "moves" to a different location. Let me tell you, my daughter has gotten the biggest kick out of this. Every morning she gets up and runs around the house saying "Where's Elvis? Where's Elvis?"
