I like to look at it as banging your head against a wall and expecting to make money for it. Doesn't usually work too well. There is apparently quite the debate amongst bloggers as to whether this was originally said by Benjamin Franklin, or Einstein, or someone else. Either way, its true. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is just not very smart any way you slice it. The same thing applies to any business.

"Creativity is more powerful than knowledge" Albert EinsteinUnquestionably one of the greatest physicists and thinkers the world has ever known, I have always been fascinated by what Einstein has written and said outside the world of physics. It initially seemed unusual to me that a man as steeped in knowledge as he was would have deemed the value of pure creativity to be so high. After thinking about it some more, however, it became clear to me that those that truly bring a new level of understanding to any field generally do so by thinking 'outside the box', an endeavor which often requires the rejection of commonly accepted knowledge and the application of creative thinking.

Desp

These products had the strongest detrimental effect on babies 8 to 16 months old, the age at which language skills are starting to form. “The more videos they watched, the fewer words they knew,” says Christakis. “These babies scored about 10% lower on language skills than infants who had not watched these videos.” [Link to Time article] Uh’oh! Beyond All Time - Beyond Even SpaceA 1950s style tongue in cheek sci fi parodyAuthor: Tom ParisGhost Writer: Karen Cole PeraltaWord Count: 12,500Surely, this was the bravest possible thing to do. I saw an attractively shiny and elegant black surface, the only one of its kind. It drew me closer, pulling me straight forwards with its seductively sweet blasphemy. I stroked the smooth, polished machine, pleasuring myself, as if anticipating something wonderful. What could I say to it? It knew me, but I didn’t know it... Then my memory said it was a hyper-dimensional resonator, easily connectible to a space-time modulator for the necessary power boosting, which uses a tesia coil to generate the zero vector. The HDR, both invented and built by the legendary genius Steven L. Gibbs, of cour

Einstein Parody - Parallel Worlds of Meaning
Parallel Worlds of Meaning: ExcerptAuthor: Tom ParisGhost Writer: Karen Cole PeraltaWord Count: 2,000This is the second in a series of tongue in cheek sci fi parodies, with references to the time space theories of Albert Einstein. It was very late at night, and I knew I was in mortal danger. You could almost swear a presence was waiting for me, that it was lurking insanely within the walls of my vastly shadowed and dimly-lit house. I had just left my boring, stunningly monotonous job, and was so totally exhausted that I tripped over something huge and sprawling on the front porch, something that squished and moved unspeakably strongly, and crawled to rest directly underneath me. I cried out, reaching for it!To my surprise, it was the carefully packaged box I’d been expecting, badly bat

      All quotes by Albert Einstein
"If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?" "The must incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible." "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new." "Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value." "Gravitation can not be held responsible for people falling in love." "You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother." "The wireless telegraph is not difficult to understand. The ordinary telegraph is like a very long cat. You pull the tail in New York, and it meows in Los Angeles. The wireless is the same, only without the cat." "When asked how World War III would be fought, Einstein replied that he didn't know. But he knew how World War IV would be fought: With sticks and stones!" "Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S RELATIVITY." "Som

¿Lograste ver a Harry? Aléjate de la pantalla y podrás verlo! Visto en Meneame!

The relativity of time, Einstein and the Beatles
“All you need is love” (The Beatles) or “All you need is a clock” (Einsten derived from his Relativity Theory concept). When loves knocks at your door, both lines combine in a complex concept. Not so funny hu? I know, think about it: How can we measure time then? If she’s around time goes by quickly, is she’s not around one minute seems like an hour… The speed of time changes, and not only on the mountains but in the city as well. You can spend a whole morning/day waiting for the moment you see her and it seems like a lot of time. And then sitting next to that sweet woman time seems to go by so fast! Focusing doesn’t work (as Hiro Nakamura does to freeze time). As much as I want to keep this lady by my side more time clock keeps ticking. It doesn’t matter how hard I try, the clock doesn’t stop like in the picture. Just look at the keys without movement: no sound. That’s what happens when shes not around… A woma

Einstein Had An Aneurism. Thank God.
Today in Psychology class we were discussing different types of intelligence. In particular, those people who are extremely intelligent, yet lack even the slightest amount of common sense. I think I should bring Phone Boy in for extra credit. For instance, recently Mr. Honeybell instructed Phone Boy not to leave his bike at a friend's house. The very next day, Phone Boy left his bike at his friend's house while he went to watch a soccer game. The bike was promptly stolen.By some miraculous turn of events, within a week, the bike was found and returned. We were reiterating to Phone Boy that he cannot leave his bike without chaining it. "Doesn't P. have a fence at his house?" I asked. Phone Boy looks confused. Finally he answers my question with "Yeah . . . but it's all messed up."I replayed the conversation in my head to make sure I hadn't missed anything."What does that have to do with whether or not you can chain to your bike to it?! No one is going to steal your bike

Baby Einstein Discover & Play Activity Gym
This was a great gift. We used this until Baby was old enough to crawl. Around 2 months, he started to become interested and enjoyed the star light apparatus that is on the top. It plays this song that sounds like Tetris and I even caught my husband whistling it once while doing the dishes. When he became more mobile, he would tug on the stuffed animals until they came off. This is even great for tummy time. The activity gym comes with this special pillow that is used to prop baby up while practicing being on his tummy. My son is 2.5 months in these pictures.RATING: *****COMMENTS: I think this really helped out with tummy time. Baby really seemed to dig this product. I would buy this as a gift for someone.

Einstein, the Famous Talking Grey African Parrot
This is Einstein, a famous talking grey African parrot. This bird is smarter than the rest of us, which is why they named him Einstein. He can make sounds that I could only hope to make. He should have a long career because I have heard that these birds can live as long as 70 years. More animal videos... More animal humor...

When we visited Berlin in 2005, we couldn’t help but notice all the big “E”s, the Einstein quotes, and the big sign on the fence of Humboldt University saying: “Hier las Einstein” (Einstein taught here). Here are two such E’s on Unter den Linden:
