We've recently spotted a Sony Ericsson concept that can surely be categorized as one of the most extravagant potential mobile phones ever designed. This new virtual handset is named Sony Ericsson French Luxury, or Sony Ericsson FL, and is made to celebrate the July 14 French National Day, also known as Bastille Day.

As far as Sex and the City goes, I think most women want to dress as fashionably cool as Carrie Bradshaw. I guess that's why Vanessa Bryant (Kobe's wife) channeled her inner Sarah Jessica Parker and pulled out this interesting look to wear to her husbands Lakers playoff game, complete with the Timmy Woods Eiffel Tower purse from the Sex and the City movie. I love Vanessa's outfit - the puffy-slee

Only one more month until the Sex and the City movie - woohoo! There have been movie spoilers all over the web and I've been trying to ignore them all and just focus on the fashion! Sarah Jessica Parker has been photographed on set wearing all of her fabulous Patricia Field-styled outfits, shoes, jewelry and handbags and this one in particular has received loads of attention - the Timmy Woods 'Eiffel Tower' Limited Edition Clutch. While Carrie's bag has 6,300 Swarovski crystals and costs a ridiculous $2500, the non-crystallized version is only $415. But you have to eith

Petrinska rozhledna/Petrin lookout tower is Prague's so called smaller version of Paris' Eiffel tower. It was build in 1891. When the weather is right you can see places in the Czech republic that are more than 100km far away. There's a grand view on Prague Castle as well :)The only drawback is that it is on the top of Petrin hill and you have to literally climb up here. But than again, there are those fabulous views on Prague during your climb. Here's a link to the real Eiffel tower at Paris DP.
My youngest son is a real character. You can't turn your back on him for very long. He'll be up to something.Last night he was nakey after getting out of the bathtub. I was going to get him a diaper and he was in his room. He, of course, peed on the carpet. But the funny thing was what he said afterwards. He said "it looks like the eiffel tower." The pattern on the carpet that he made, that is. You need to know that I have a Paris-themed bathroom and he likes to count the Eiffel towers. He is very refined and yet, not!
The Eiffel Tower is one of the most famous monuments in the world. There are 3 levels where you can have a look at the centre of Paris. The first 2 levels you can reach by stairs, or elevator if you prefer. And for the last one to the top you have to buy an extra ticket for the elevator. But it's worth it for the view you get there.
Originally intended as a structure to commemorate the French Revolution, who could've guessed that 100 years later The Eiffel Tower would become the symbol of Paris itself?
But, judging by the six million annual visitors and the millions of photographs, that's what it has become. To date the tower has received over 200 million visitors since its completion in 1889.

By: Martyn Davis The Eiffel Tower in Paris has become an icon for France and is known around the world for its daring and unusual structure. This Paris landmark was named after its engineer designer Gustave Eiffel and was constructed between 1887 and 1889, and was built as the entrance arch for the Exposition Universelle, which was a World's Fair marking the centennial celebration of the French Revolution, with the Eiffel Tower being inaugurated on 31 March 1889, and opened on 6 May 1889. With 200,000,000 people having visited the Eiffel Tower since its construction, it makes this monument the most visited paid monument per year and being the tallest monument in the world until 1930 and still the tallest in Paris, the Eiffel Tower has seen some major events over its time. But when the Eiffel Tower was built, it was met with resistance, as the public felt it was an eyesore, even though the people of Paris today would not wish to be without it, as it is widely considered to be a striking

As I was starting to write this article, I found myself with a dilemma. You see, I couldn’t come up with a category in which to put this particular candy. The package says “chewy candy” but it isn’t a gummy. It starts out hard, but it ends up soft, so neither of those work either. Ultimately, I guess it will just have to stand in a category of its own.
I received two varieties of Eiffel Bon Bons in a candy-laden package originating from Brian and his spoils from the All Candy Expo. I was immediately drawn to the strawberry variety, but it turned out both flavors were delicious.
As I tore open the first package, I was struck by the strong smell. It reminded me a little of pink cotton candy. The pieces of candy themselves looked for all the world like larger-than-average After Dinner Mints. When it came to eating, however, all mint resemblance ended. On both strawberry and apple, the first flavor that presented was a mild sweetness from the extremely fine suga

Paris is probably one of the most desired travel destinations for many Malaysian Malays even though most could not really afford it. It is sad but I do hope that some day they would be fortunate enough to visit Paris one day. They should, for Paris is a lovely city and they should visit Paris at least once in their lifetime and see what they have all been missing in Malaysia.
When we talk about
The tower was built by the engineering firm of Gustave Eiffel, Eiffel et Cie, a company well established in metallic construction projects. This firm underwent many transformations in the following years, but it still survives today, still under the name Eiffel, and it still specializes in complex steel construction work and engineering.Eiffel didn't design the tower all by himself, however. Other people in his firm who worked extensively on the tower included engineers Émile Nouguier and Maurice Koechlin; Tower architect Stephen Sauvestre; Jean Compagnon, who handled construction of the superstructure; and Adolphe Salles, who worked on the physical plant of the tower. The patents covering the tower were filed jointly by Eiffel, Nouguier, and Koechlin (the latter two eventually sold their rights to Eiffel in exchange for a percentage of the revenue generated by the tower).Note that Eiffel's company was very competent and undertook a great many interesting projects besides the Eiffel
The tower stands 300 m (1000 ft) high, which is about 75 stories. Including the 24-m (80-ft) antenna, the structure is 324 m (1080 ft) high which is about 81 storeys. At the time of its construction in 1889, the tower replaced the Washington Monument as the tallest structure in the world, a title it retained until 1930, when New York City's Chrysler Building (319 m/1063.33 ft tall) was completed

It’s not too often that the subject of video games enters into the songs of popular culture, so when it does it’s reason to celebrate. Or at the very least to point out the song and artist in particular so we can give them kudos for giving love to our favorite past-time.
After all the last song I can think of that revolved around video games (not just included them, or else it’d be Weird Al’s White & Nerdy) was Eiffel 65 with their dance floor hit My Console all the way back in 1999.
So here comes rapper KJ-52 (that’s pronounced “five two”) to the rescue with his song entitled simply and eloquently “Video Games” from his album “Behind the Musik”. Listen to the full song below, and entertain your ears with some other songs from the artist that I went ahead and tossed in. Also included is Eiffel 65’s “My Console” in case you missed out on that great video game song hit of the late 90’s.

The Eiffel Tower (French: La Tour Eiffel) is an iron tower built on the Champ de Mars beside the River Seine in Paris, France. It is the tallest structure in Paris and possibly the most recognized monument in the world. Named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, it is the most visited monument in the world; 6,428,441 people visited the tower in 2005 and more than 200,000,000 since its construction. Including the 24 m (78.7 ft) antenna, the structure is 324 m (1063 ft) high (since 2000), which is about 81 stories. In 1902, it was struck by lightning, which meant that 100 metres of the top had to be reconstructed and the lights illuminating the tower had to be replaced, as they were damaged by the high energy of the lightning. At the time of its construction in 1887, the tower replaced the Washington Monument as the world's tallest structure, a title it retained until 1930, when New York City's Chrysler Building (319 m/1046.58 ft tall) was completed (today, the Eiffel Tower is

Not only do I work for the most vibrant garment house in London, I must live in the most buzzing city in the world. For me, it's symbolised by the BT Tower. Not that the Tower itself is that interesting (though I can't help finding it strangely beautiful); it's more, I think, what it represents. Above all it represents London. In the year 2000 I studied at UCL and lived directly under it. Today, when I sit up in bed I can see it shining, purple, in the sky. I wake up in the morning and leave my bed. The sun is a mere white disc in the sky. There's something about the mist, the way it wraps around the Tower, that makes me tingle through and through. The first thing that happens when I get into work is that Jen gets out her croissants, still warm from the baker's in Notting Hill. After we've eaten them with tea, I begin to write about suits. At this time in the morning, when my eyes are still opening and my head feels numb, there's nothing more lovely to write about. It helps that
On my last evening in Paris I walked the left and right banks of the Seine, keeping the Eiffel Tower in view at all times and strolling without much direction. When the sun began to set, I positioned myself on the right side of Pont Alexandre III, the most ornate bridge that crosses the Seine. Three of us and several pigeons watched in silence as the sun slipped behind the horizon.Without warning and just before daylight disappeared the Eiffel Tower lit up. It was an awesome and moving experience, yet somehow festive at the same time. I took in the sight of the sparkling tower for 20 minutes, noting the scent of the Seine, the slight tremors of the tour boats and barges passing underneath the bridge, and the whooshing sound of Parisian traffic as it rushed by. When the light show ended I meandered to the Latin Quarter for an evening meal. This time the image of Notre Dame Cathedral kept me company, completing a perfect night.Click on the You Tube link to see an 8-second video of the
