Solar-Powered Workspace Desk - No more dungy cubicles!
Though you may find it hard to believe, there are many people who love their jobs, but it's the location of where they do their job that can make the task unpleasant. Cubicles and offices can get very dull and dark, the artificial lighting does not help much, nor do the artificial plants! Research shows that a little daylight, fresh air, and greenery would do wonders to a workers mentality and perhaps even increase work productivity. What if there was a way to actualy make this happen? Before... Please Click the Title for the Full Story

      Tony Dungy and God's Puzzle
I’ve just finished reading Tony Dungy’s book, Quiet Strength – The Principles, Practices, & Priorities of a Winning Life.  I’ve added it to the top of the list of books I recommend (in the left hand margin of this blog).  It’s amazing how God arrays the billions of pieces of life’s puzzle to work his will – it’s never what we expect.  You’re probably thinking, “What the bleep is Joe talking about?”  Tony Dungy’s book and life have had a profound effect on how I look at myself and my faith.  He is a role model for all men regardless of background or circumstance.  His book revealed practical insights into my Christian faith that have been heretofore unseen and I can’t thank him enough for this.  So, what’s with the “billions of pieces” talk?  Tony Dungy was brought into my life because I am a long-time Colts fan.  Had he not made the move to Indianapolis, I probably would not have taken such

      Tony Dungy’s humility in offseason
Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy got his dose of humility in a New York City bookstore this offseason. “Yeah, I was going through the offseason feeling pretty good about everything when my wife and I were in the bookstore,” said Dungy, the man of grace, a Super Bowl ring and now a best-selling book. “Then someone from the bookstore came up to me and said, ‘It’s so good to have you here, Coach Edwards.’ … The Lord has a way of keeping you humble.” Dungy shared a laugh over that with his good friend and former assistant, Kansas City coach Herm Edwards. More important, the moment was the first of many reminders that winning a Super Bowl guarantees little in life, even recognition. The further reminder of that has come in training camp. The Colts may be the defending champions, but they are a very different team from that rainy night in Miami during Super Bowl XLI less than seven months ago.

Colts’ Dungy hits road to promote memoir
DENVER (AP) — Brandon Stokley felt like a rookie again. The ninth-year pro returned to the field for the Denver Broncos’ minicamp on Monday and did individual work to test his right Achilles’ tendon, which he ruptured last November, leading to his offseason release from the Indianapolis Colts. “This is kind of the first little baby step toward getting ready for training camp,” said Stokley, who hopes to be practicing in pads by the time the team starts up July 29. “I feel like I could more…

TWO BLACK MEN MAKE NFL HISTORY: Dungy and Smith to coach in Super Bowl
*History was made Sunday afternoon when the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts won their respective NFC and AFC championship games. Wait a minute, did we say both team's coaches are black?! Yes, we sure did. It'll be the first time in history that not only will an African American head coach participate in the Super Bowl, but we'll get to see 2 black coaches go head to head in sport's biggest spectacle. That means no matter what who comes out on top, a black man will coach the winning team. The Super Bowl will air Sun on Feb 4th. CONGRADULATIONS THIS IS HUGE AND MORE IMPORTANT "DA BEARS ARE GOING TO KILL THE COLTS"

      The Super Bowl...Tony Dungy....And I'm COLD!!!
pre-game pictures ---->We can't figure out if our boiler isn't working properly or if the NEGATIVE FORTY degrees is causing the boiler to seem like it isn't working properly??? I know... I'm not making any sense.it's the freezing cold.We are having to crank the thermostat up to 90 degrees just to get it to kick on . The house has still not been able to warm up beyond 65 degrees. So... boiler problem or just so cold it can't keep up problem?Now... trust me, I am thankful that the house is at 65 degrees... I know we could be a lot worse off. People's heating systems are going cur plunk all over the place. I just want to know if ours is starting to cur plunk or not. They say we have two more days of major sub-degree weather...I normally prefer to be cold than hot. I really do not like being hot. But the last three days have made me start reconsidering. I'm thinking..... Hawaii sounds like a nice place to live.Ahhh.... Nice warm Hawaii....Moving right along... Yesterday

Tony Dungy Shows Class, Dignity, And Faith!!!
From Dungy's own words:"I tell you what. I'm proud to be representing African-American coaches, to be the first African-American to win this. It means an awful lot to our country. [SNIP!] But again, more than anything, I've said it before, Lovie Smith and I, not only the first two African-Americans, but Christian coaches, showing that you can win doing it the Lord's way. We're more proud of that".And despite the true grit in his stament, one has to wonder how long it will take the NFL to start issuing appologies to the media boneheads.

Tony Dungy and the Colts' Final Step
After two long weeks, the Super Bowl is finally just a day away. Instead of trying to break down the game (which would be a fruitless endeavor - go to the real experts on that), I just wanted to be able to write a post expressing my rooting interest for the Colts tomorrow. And it's really nothing against the Chicago Bears - got nothing against them. But it would be so much more satisfying for me to see the Colts win, because it would be the culmination of a long road to success that has been filled with obstacles that could have crippled others. And naturally, a win would taste especially sweet for their venerable leader, Head Coach Tony Dungy.Much like the Pittsburgh Steelers (in fact, when you look at the two teams and the paths they took to championship status, they're almost mirror images of one another) last year, an Indianapolis win would confirm that you always have a chance when you dig deep and believe in the seemingly impossible.Who believed that they were championship mate

So, Tony Dungy, Who Wins This One?
Vatican's Soccer Tourney Kicks Off (AP) Priests and seminarians from several soccer-loving countries took to a field near the looming dome of St. Peter's Basilica Saturday for the first match of the Clericus Cup, a tournament fielding 16 teams from Catholic institutes in Rome. In a miraculous upset, the young Mater Ecclesiae players trounced the more experienced but portly Brazilians 6-0 as
