The Duchess's Diary by Robin Chapman
'Nothing can stop people talking about this hideous book, about how widely it sells, about how many languages it's already been translated into, I'm a laughing stock in French, German, Italian, English, Chinese even, if the author's dedication is to be believed though he may be joking you never know with him he uses irony like a gelder's knife. My only consolation, and it's none at all really, is that he has made no profit from it. I hear he had to sell the copyright to the printers in order to finance the writing of the last chapters; he was hopeless with money, he said, good, I hope he dies in poverty as I'm sure I shall now.'I don't know why I suddenly picked this book up; it has lain neglected on the shelf for going on for twenty years, a victim to my prejudice against modern novels, b

Keira Knightley on the set of her new movie ‘The Duchess’
Here are some new pictures (taken on November 15) of Keira Knightley on the set of her new movie “The Duchess“. In this film, Keira plays 18th Century aristocrat Georgiana Cavendish, an ancestor of Princess Diana. It is rumored that Keira acted like a diva and infuriated the cast and crew of the film by failing to get a scene right, despite 17 takes. The British beauty, who recently branded herself a “moody b*****d, ” left ‘The Duchess’ cast and crew livid by spending the time between her failed efforts sulking. “She was filming a very simple two-line scene, but she just couldn’t get it right and the director finally gave up in despair, ” the Daily Mail quoted a source, as saying. The scene involved her walking down some stairs and sitting with another character to whom Keira had to whisper something, down a drink and leave, but she just couldn’t get it. The source revealed that she struggled to express the conspiracy between the two tha

      Duchess of Alexandria
I do not know if that was scoop or what , it began with a comment , it always starts with a comment in the last place in the last post I can imagine I mean when I got home I found that in my Vox blog ,in two photos I posted there and forgot them there were two interesting comments here and there and as soon as I read "Seeing my father" and the comment's name "H.I.R.H princess Liala Fuad" ,I had to read the comments again amazed as H.I.R.H Princess Liala Fuad said in my *blog* that she was the daughter of king Farouk and that her mom from the Savoy royal house married King Farouk in year 1956 and she was born in year 1957 !! Puerto de la Duquesa = Port of the Duchess
I've been learning Spanish on and off for years now. Whilst I'm starting to get the correct accent and can conjugate my verbs (well, some of them at least), I find that the main missing ingredient is vocabularly. Which is where Babelfish comes in. It's a free online translation tool which allows you to translate words, sentences or even entire web sites from English to Spanish and vice versa, and it can be particularly useful when you get a letter in Spanish and don't want to pay to have it translated. The technology isn't perfect, but it is getting there, and even if you don't have any business use for it, you can have some fun making up amusing sentences to write on your postcards to send back home!Try typing Puerto de la Duquesa into the text box, select 'Spanish to English', hit translate and you'll see that it means Port of the Duchess.

      Duchess von Dudik
A gorgeous abstract print on sensuous fluid silk lends a sweetly sexy vibe to this amazing dress by Duchess von Gina. The figure-flattering knotted halter top flows into a fluid knee length skirt that creates a feminine and graceful line that somehow manages to be both drapey and body-conscious. Fully lined, this dress is equally appropriate for a night out on the town (throw on some strappy sandals and a pair of sexy dangly earrings) or for Sunday brunch with the family (a cashmere wrap and flat bright colored sandals). Duchess to present US show:
Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is to regularly present one of America's major breakfast shows. The Duchess will appear on NBC's Today program presenting “stories from the heart.” This will be the latest success for the Duchess in the states; she is US spokeswoman for WeightWatchers, and is launching a range of luxury home-wares. The home-ware will be based on heraldry from her mother’s castle. Sarah has already designed a set of tea-scented candles for Body & Bath Works.
