I have mentioned before in passing what fantastic tinder dryer lint makes. When my wife does laundry she cleans the dryer vent and places whatever comes out in a large zip lock bag.

So today was actually warmer. In the 50's and Steve and I decided to assemble the seed spreader and the DR Power grader. I should say that I supervised and Steve did the assembly. Our dryer’s air vent is a mess. It is too long, and too narrow. We have to dry our clothes at least 2 times, sometimes 3. And I really need to get it working I can dry my women’s lingerie.
My husband tore open the basement ceiling today to get to the darn pipe. The advantages of having a House Husband are coming clear! Anyway, it was stuffed full and had a 90 angle too, that was stoppering up the exhaust.
He vacuumed it out, will repair the angle to make it straight, and hopefully it’ll be better now. I have some clothes to wash so hopefully they can be dried today, too.
The dryer gets warm and the drum turns, but there is a noise coming from the front left lower corner of the unit. It is a cyclic noise that happens about once per revolution of the drum. It is not a constant noise nor a grinding, squeak or scrapping...
Recently I had a revelation that was both startling and trivial. At one point in the past, I had purchased two complete, identical sets of towels. Each set contained 1 large bath towel, one small face/hand towel, and one washcloth. I began using Set 1 and put Set 2 aside.Now, months later, I just recently brought Set 2 out of storage. I compared the sets. Set 2 is definitely fuller, thicker, softer, and overall more inviting. Set 1 is still mostly clean-looking, but is definitely thinner. They were both the same to begin with. Using the washing machine is very un-eco friendly you have power usage, detergents, and wasted water, but this is a necessary evil, we need clean clothes, don’t we?
Now these dryer balls are supposed reduce the energy needed to dry your washing. Mind you there has been some talk about this product as they are made in China and are supposed to be made in an environmentally unfriendly manner, which sort of defeats the object.

My sister lives in a four-room flat like me. She has a small kitchen too. She hates to hang her wet clothes out to dry. On several occasion, she had her clothes dirtied by inconsiderate people who throw cigarette butts and even condom onto her hang-out clothes. She was very mad. She decided to buy a dryer after she cannot stand it any longer.
She did not read about dryer reviews when she bought her first dryer. It was an electric dryer. It did not last her for long. On several occasion, she asked the technical assistance to her house to service the electric dryer. But each time, it lasted only for a few weeks. Money was wasted just like that. My sister does not know how to use the computer. She would not know how to search for dryer reviews. If she had read some dryer reviews, she could have bought better dryer and save more money. Now, her home has two dryers. One for table linens and rugs, the other for clothes.
I love Etsy. Why, besides the obvious? Because Etsy allows artists to open a webstore for $0.00. I think if Etsy would have been around five years ago I would have opened an Etsy store long before I sunk money in to an ecommerce site. Anyway, today I saw an ad for artist Jill Dryer and was immediately directed to her Etsy store. She does very pretty art and I had a hard time picking between the butterfly art or the bird art as my favorite. Stop by her store, buy something and say hello!

Introduction
This circuit enables you to connect both your washing machine and your tumble dryer on one wall outlet,
without blowing the fuse!
The trick is that the washing machine only consumes full power when heating the water.
During the other stages (pumping, tumbling, centrifuging) the power consumption is much lower.
The circuit switches off the tumble dryer during the (brief) time that the washing machine is heating the water.
I designed & built this circuit years before I started my web site, it has been in use ever since, but I forgot about it!
Certainly a reliable design….
Because it has proved its reliability, I just copied the old circuit diagram without any changes.
Circuit description
The current of the washing machine if fed through 25 milliohm shunt resistor R6.
R6 is built with 40 x 0.25W standard resistors of 1 ohm.
Note that the dissipation in R6 is quite high at 16 Ampere: 16×16x25milliohm=6.4 Watt or 160 mW per resistor.
