I just found another thing to love about Thailand:
Last week we took our rather large pile of pictures, paintings, temple rubbings, batiks, etc that we’ve been intending to frame for the last three years to a framer just outside of our neighborhood.
We spent about an hour picking out the frames, the silks to use as background, and the various shadow-box styles we wanted. And then we watched as the owner spent about 20 minutes totaling up our 3 pages of charges on her enormous calculator. As we waited we discussed our bargaining approach and I mentally tallied the items I could pull from the order to try to bring the price down or to use as a bargaining chip.
And then she told us.
All 16 pieces - some huge, some small; some with silk; some 3 dimensional; some in a “glass sandwich” - for B18,000 or US$600.
Given the fact that I was expecting an extra zero on the end of that price, I just kind of stood there in silence for a minute. Then we bargained her down to B16,000
Rent a pro road bike with us whenever you like, but please remeber to Reserve it as soon as possible.

While the fourth title in the series may turn it’s back to the Dante we know and love, it looks like Nero is not lacking to much in the ass-kickery department. News has been consistently slow to come on this new Devil May Cry title; I interpret that as meaning there is still a big chunk of work needing to be done, so I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for new news. Judging by the screenshots though, it looks like gamers are in for more of the same marionette killing action, and that’s a good thing. The game will be available for PS3, X-Box 360, and PC of course, sometime in 2008.

All sorts of images were conjured up in my mind. Flowing, gossamer gowns; a gentle, beautiful creature with a plethora of little, fairy-like wanna-be-ephelideses gliding along behind her as she goes about her mysterious an ethereal business.
It has that sound, doesn’t it? Admit it.
I’d like to say that’s what it is, but I can’t.
In medical terms, Ephelides are actually just regular, ordinary, everyday….
freckles.
So okay, maybe freckles can be a little interesting, but I think I’ll hang on to my own little definition of the Ephelides. I think it’s got the makings of something great.

Saturday morning breakfast was a full dozen over easy eggs, fresh from our chickens. Our of the first dozen, we even had two "double yolkers". Haven't seen those since I was a kid.Add to the eggs, a big pile of hashbrown potatoes topped with homemade salsa verde and thick sliced bacon, toast with butter, and fresh ground "Creme Brulee" flavored coffee... and we were stoked for the day.Good thing, even though most of the day was rainy, as soon as it quit, we were out at the horse stable fixing up the new corral. It took us until just before dark to get the corral finished... way too late to move horses. Sunday, we put all three horses into the corral and showed them their own stalls. We locked Dakota (the yearling) into her stall just in case our gelding "Dusty" got a little too frisky. We gave Neche (four-year-old filly) the run of both her stall and the corral.
