Hip-Hop mogul 50 Cent has blamed rapper/producer Missy Elliot for the downfall of his former G-Unit protégé, Olivia.
The outspoken rapper claims the promising R&B singer’s relationship with G-Unit Records went sour after she collaborated with Missy Elliot, and the “Get Ur Freak On” hitmaker’s sexuality is to blame.
He said, “She (Olivia) went to work with [...]

Its one of the great ironies of life that what gives one a great advantage in life can turn into an equally great disadvantage..... A few examples.
The Moa, a giant bird that lived in and around New Zealand as recently as 300yrs ago, the largest of which stood 9ft tall and weighed as much as 500lbs. Living in isolated areas with no major predators, these birds traded the ability to fly for size witch allowed these giants to dominate their environment. When a few major predators eventually made their way to Moa land the very thing that made them dominate, their great size, became an inability to escape and they were eaten to extinction. There's also the case of a moth that lived in the eastern US that had evolved to perfectly mimic the shape and colo
Kourtney McCarty of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) sent the following short summary on the banking laws applied and enforced in the Eliot Spitzer matter. ACAMS is an international organization which performs the vital service of educating and certifying anti-money laundering officials. As I wrote on Wednesday , these same laws and regulations are at the heart of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing efforts, so I am posting most of that discussion...(read more)

She is expected to be a witness in the case against four people charged with operating a prostitution ring called the Emperor’s Club V.I.P
Tucker CarlsonMSNBC's Tucker Carlson is out and David Gregory is in with his show “Race for the White House.” We can trace Carlson's downward spiral from CNN's “Crossfire,” where he lost the battle of wits to Jon Stewart of the “Daily Show,” to Carlson's lecture to journalist Gerri Peev about journalism ethics. The beginning of the end of Carlson occurred in 2004 when Stewart told Carlson on “Crossfire” to “stop hurting America” with his partisan shoutfests, and then ended the show by telling his bow-tied host, “You're as big a dick on your show as you are on any show.” Carlson's exit from “Crossfire” was swift and his tenure at MSNBC has been plagued with low ratings. Despite the spin from MSNBC that Carlson will report on the presidential race from the road, t
We’re going back… back… back in time once again today as we review the Prehistoric 2: Downfall game from Armor Games. But this time, Dino is meaner, more powerful, and well… evolved!

There has always been a great deal of idle speculation about what it is that people find so fascinating about Hitler’s Germany. My favorite theory—which hardly makes it correct—is that people want to understand what allows people to do such depraved things to each other. That people probe the Holocaust looking for ways that we can assure that such a thing never happens again.
For those seeking to viscerally understand the nuances of Nazi ideology and the causes of mass adherence to the doctrine of National Socialism, Downfall isn’t really for you. Downfall, an immaculate recreation of the tense final days inside Hitler’s Berlin bunker, is much more about the paternal role an ailing and potentially insane Fuhrer played in the lives of those who knew him most intimately. How these people reacted as the Reich crumbled, how they reacted to his suicide, how they surrendered to the Soviet forces.
Downfall made me feel more sympathetically toward Hitler than I ev
A study conducted by the Nemertes Research Group points to the conclusion that the constantly increasing use of video services such as YouTube could see the Internet reach breaking point in just three years’ time.According to the PC Advisor’s Grant Gross, "the research firm says the flood of new video content could overwhelm the web by 2010 unless backbone providers invest up to $137bn in new capacity, more than double what service providers plan to invest, according to the study. In North America alone, backbone investments of $42bn to $55bn will be needed in the next three to five years to keep up with demand."Why the gloomy perspective? I’m not sure how much you know about exafloods and I’m not sure that the word can actually have a plural form because it’s something like Noah’s flood: one and definitive one, no chance for a second. The exaflood is caused by the explosion of video content available on the Internet and the amount of data created by the users: 161 exabytes

Remember back in the 90's when an electric car seemed possible but unnecessary? Apparently there were a variety of forces at work to convince the public that the electric car was lame and unnecessary. An episode of the Simpson's lampooned the propaganda. When the family visited a theme park, they rode in an electric car ride. The car spoke in a weak, unattractive voice, saying, "Hello. I'm an electric car. I can't go very fast, or very far..."It makes sense that Big Oil would want to keep profits up through limiting competition from alternative fuel sources. But the fact that our environment has suffered because of it, and the fact that the U.S. is to some extent under an oil-related foreign controlling influence just makes the idea of preventing a popular electric car seem ludicrous. If we'd had and used the technology ten years ago, I wonder if the middle east would be slightly less turbulent? Would terrorism be as big a threat?
“Der Untergang” is a very realistic Oscar-nominated drama directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel about last days of Hitler told by his stenographer Traudl Junge (Alexandra Maria Lara). The details are pretty amazing: from Hitler’s appearance, manner of speech and behavior, to external details like destruction of archives, Hitler Jugend (brainwashed children 12-15 y.o.) still fighting or hoping to fight, chaos of retreat and refugees. Berlin is about to lose clean water, electricity, transportation, food. Army is demoralized entirely: some units executed old men for treason because they were no bearing arms. There’s no more police or law enforcement. Eva Braun writes last letter to her sister. In fact most of the movie is happening inside Hitler’s bunker. We only leave it to walk Blondi, Hitler’s dog, or see Berlin being taken over by the Red army.
Hitler is brilliantly played by Bruno Ganz. Hitler’s mood on his birthday was pretty grim: he was fru
The subtleties were not lost on us, were they eager readers? C.J. was taped chattering like a magpie. He's never been to New York, our next cheftestant destination, and he stated he was looking forward to going there. He also said that he has yet to reach his potential. My poll sitting below overwhelmingly shows that we hoi polloi thought he should be booted off. Regardless of all the signs, I thought it was especially harsh that he never got to step foot in Manhattan. The broccolini did him in, and it did look terrible on the plate. It must have been awful for C.J. to hear he made the single worst dish in the history of Top Chef. However, his farewell was classy, and I will miss him.As for Casey, she had a sterling night, winning the elimination challenge two weeks in a row. There's hope for all of us: One doesn't need good kniving skills in order to make top chef. Congratulations, Casey!

EUR/USD dropped to its more than two weeks old minimum touching 1.3630 today while the market expected good data on GDP of United States for the seconds quarter of 2007. Breaking below 1.3230 for EUR/USD will mean a big trend breakout, but while it is traded higher a temporal correction should be considered.U.S. GDP in Q2 2007 rose by 3.4% - a very good increase after 0.6% (revised from 0.7%) in Q1. It is also greater than expected number - 3.2%. Chain deflator for Q2 came out slightly lower than expected - 2.7% against 3.4% expected. Overall these are quite good results for the Q2. If U.S. economy can keep up with this pace in the second half of 2007, then it would add some more power to both stocks and Forex markets.Today also Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index for July became available - 90.4 against 91.5 - lower than expected but still at a high level, showing a good sign for the U.S. economical health in general.
Dj Clue…Clue…Clue…Dezert Storm… Storm… Storm… Alright now that I’ve got that out of the way. We all know of this trend and how almost everybody and their mama has a mixtape out. The mixtape game has brought new life to the industry as record sales have went down 33% since 2006. But with the prospect of once again making money (selling 1000 mixtapes for 5-7 a pop is a good grind) comes over-saturation and rushed product. Dont get me wrong i love mixtapes and i think it is what hiphop was built on, doing the damn thing yourself!, the problem is too many people are.
In today’s mixtape market you have these hole in the wall rappers coming out and releasing 20 mixtapes within a month (horrible quality, horrible verses, and horrible organization). And these days it seems quantity is favored over quality. Now before i even go further lets understand the purpose of putting a mixtape out, it’s to tie over the fans till new materi

When I started considering writing about “Incurious George,” the thought of doing the background research was too depressing: Bush was incurious about the findings of the 9/11 Commission; Bush was incurious about what the generals really thought when the troops first forced their way into Baghdad; Bush was incurious about the effects of disbanding the mostly Sunni-led army and firing those 50,000 Sunni bureaucrats who are now a big part of the insurgence; Bush was incurious about Katrina when he refused to listen to Brownie’s warnings—the list is seemingly endless.
And I have to chuckle to myself every time there is some scuttlebutt about what book he’s currently reading–usually heavy intellectual tomes or biographies of historical leaders. Since when has any president in history made news for what he was reading? Seems like these bits are leaked in an attempt to make Bush seem less of a mental buffoon and they come off as sounding insincere . . .

The Swiss-born actor Bruno Ganz is phenomenal as Adolf Hitler in the last days of the Third Reich. Two strands are rigorously inter-woven: the factual story of the collapse of the German army and the subsequent fall of Berlin to the Soviets; and the human perspective of the same events from the point of view of Muenchner, Frau Traudl Junge (played by the doe-eyed Alexandra Maria Lara), one of Hitler's secretaries, who stayed with him in his bunker in Berlin till the very end. This German-made film is faultless. I can't think of anything that could have been done better. I know some of the events are interpolated from various accounts (that Hitler shot himself and his wife, Eva Braun, whom he married shortly before his death; that Goebbels - played here by the striking Ulrich Matthes - and his wife poisoned their children before shooting themselves; that Hitler asked that his remains be totally destroyed by incineration, as did Goebbels), but all of this seems plausible, even obvious,
So YouTube has decided that it wants to make good by sharing revenue for your homemade films and shorts. Sounds sweet, right? Wrong! And now begins the downfall of yet another great idea.
YouTube has confirmed to the BBC that it will share the revenue it makes for videos--but only with those videos' true copyright owners. Company co-founder Chad Hurley said at the Davos Economic Forum that the
The trend of popular premium denim labels rapidly changes year after year. In the past Levi almost died out through over-exposure; however, with Capital Es they have gained back their reputation for quality premium denim. Unfortunately, 7evens followed the same pattern and are now growing increasingly unpopular. Could Rock & Republic be the next denim company to fall from the top as fast as they made it big? The only blames have been lawsuits & naming rights plagueing the company. Along, with cliche looks and a devestating lookbook from the '07 which recently appeared in New York Fashion week as most likely the worst show of them all.Customer Service
Thanks to Mike's nearly criminal consumption of Girl Scout Cookies, the little cookie-pushing leprechauns have come west! They have moved into the parking lot of my neighborhood grocery store. They tempt me so - with their cuteness and their "we have a new sugar free cookie this year."Well, I don't want your new sugar free cookie - I want one thing, and one thing onlyTHIN MINTS!!!But, says my inner voice, you don't need thin mints. Besides, what's so special about them? You could always eat the Keebler Grasshopper cookies - they are really the same thing, and you manage to avoid those all year long. And don't forget your weight loss goal this year - how are thin mints going to help??So, I answered my "rational" inner voice. I don't know what's so special - but I know they are special. Plus, it's for a good cause. Plus, I'll just get one box. Just one box this season - there, craving satisfied. Humph.I tried people, I really did. I caved. One little box. I decided I would take it

Much had been written about Downfall (Der Untergang). Critiques have ranged from an SS officer wearing a Wehrmacht uniform to the "humanization" of Hitler. I tend to overlook occasional technical details such as uniforms or medals and find the "humanization" argument a bogus one as there is no doubt Hitler ...
