A few days ago I had the pleasure of watching Superman: Doomsday, a direct-to-DVD adaption of DC comic's classic Death of Superman storyline. This storyline, which when collected in trade paperback, became the biggest selling graphic novel of all-time. While the movie did steer pretty far away from its comic source, it was still an enjoyable film that I recommend to Superman and comics fans.For those who don't know, DC comics made worldwide headlines in the early 90s by killing off (temporarily obviously) their most popular character, Superman. The multi-issue story arc became one of DC Comics' most popular of all time. Basically, this big motherfucker named Doomsday, who's been bred to be the perfect soldier, is unleashed upon Earth.
