As Digby's new employee it's your job to catch the donuts when they come fresh out of the oven, and stack them in the display counter. Stack them in groups of three by frosting color and they'll disappear down the customer's throats, earning you big tips. Digby's Donuts is a deliciously addictive (and non-fatt

Oh we knew he couldn't resist the bright lights and laughable antics he loves to dole out. Sascha Baron Cohen is at it again filming a new movie called 'Brüno'. The lovely and of course hilarious plot is listed as, a " flamboyant Austrian fashionista Brüno takes his show to America.", according to IMDB.com. Frankly we couldn't be more pleased at the early, early results. Take a look and have a giggle, it looks to be completely silly and less antagonistic than Borat. It's just a quick camera phone copy someone took in the airport over the weekend but it should be....interesting.

I have a precious friend who shares the remnants of a painful past as part of her ministry. Through the baring of her heart she has helped many to be healed of shame. By opening herself up to humility and human judgment, she has also opened herself more completely to Love. I am learning that there is rarely the one without the other. She has used her mistakes to make something beautiful, and I am proud of her. God has been faithful to His promise; all these things in her life He has worked for the good of those who love him. A while back, my friend was preparing to share her testimony with her own church family for the first time. She asked her husband if he would stay for both the early and the late service, as she would be speaking at both. She needed to see his face in the se

      craving for JCo. Donuts
All of us have cravings for certain foods from time to time. Lately, I have a strong cravings for JCo. Donuts since they opened its doors at the Pavilion. See, I'm not so much a donut fan when the ones at JCo. are mouth-watering and yummy.Couple of Sundays ago, I took Clayton to Pavilion with the main intention of buying some JCo. Donuts. The queue wasn't that bad though I had to wait in line for 20 minutes. And if you had waited for 20 minutes, it wouldn't make sense to buy 3 right? So, I bought half a dozen and another half for my good friends, Dexter and Kim. The variety was great at JCo. Donuts but most of all, they tasted heavenly! Funny that I won't queue for the ones in Singapore but I'd queue for this one!Last Sunday, I went to Pavilion with the hope to buy some but this time, I was put off by the queue... I wasn't that greedy then. Now that I'm writing about it, the craving is here again :(

      Powdered Donuts breakfast
Our neighbor’s dog has an ongoing battle with butterflies and birds. They ignore the boundaries of his territory every day — forgetting the wrath behind the ‘arf’. You have to give it to him — staying power must run in his family. So Friday I came down with a virus. Made it half-way through the day at work before it took me down for the count. A count of 20 that is. I slept from noon until eight the next morning. Woke feeling as though I’d been teleported through time, complete with the confusion that comes with losing 20 hours of your life. Let’s see what else is going on… oh yeah, the Google smack down continues. It appears that text links are out and that hurts my bottom line. Content will have to regain controlling reign of this blog along with editorial upper-hand slapping. OK, I get it — so if this site remains Google-rific, will you give me back my peeare?

Dollars to Donuts: NFL Week 1 Picks
For the most part, TJI does the same things every other fantasy football site does...make predictions that are basically pulled out of thin air and then hope like hell that they either come true or that the 4 people that actually read this blog forget about them when they fall flat. But now we'd like to branch out a little bit and provide our readers with a much needed service. Whether you admit it or not, we know you bet on games. It's okay. But it can get ugly when you owe Vinnie the Bookie a couple grand after you bet the farm on the University of Michigan the last two weeks. So if you're going to wager, wager wisely. And only bet after consulting "Dollars to Donuts" the official weekly NFL picks of TJI (made against the spread, of course). Then we realized, hey , this donut place has always got a queue, so lets try them. We checked to see if they have tables and seatings for us, the answer was YES and we sat down. While Sayang ordered, I kept busy snapping pics of this place. I am still trying to figure out how to use the new camera.... sigh !!! Okay so this place sells only donuts, unlike Dunkin Donuts, so says Sayang. This is my first time here, and I read this sign they got just outside the store. Buy A cup of Coffee , get a donut FREE !! Whoa, so nice meh ? So I ordered a cup of coffee. So they give you a normal glazed donut. Nothing special there. As for dinner , Sayang ordered a dozen donuts. Most of the time, we shared half a donut each. Notable donuts I liked, were the OREOs, Double Chocolate, The Cheese donut, and the durian donut. Although

The Grand Opening weekend is featuring a car show, live music and a much appreciated sun-filled sky.The owners, Mike and Angie, decided on this location because, according to Angie, "they wanted to bring some life back to the neighborhood." Amen to that! Mike is from the neighborhood, Angie grew up in Parma. They are personable people and I say welcome to the neighborhood! At one point this building was a used car lot; Angie and Mike said it was a temporary service more recently. The East side of the building is a spacious dining area with cable TV and wi-fi service. I can see myself frequenting it on my way to or from work.Today I purchased some ice cream (which I sampled already: raspberry!). It's Hershey's ice cream, and they offer a nice selection.Th

      Portland? Check. Donuts? Check.
Years ago when I lived in an apartment near a local donut shop, every morning I would awaken to the smell of fresh donuts being made. I’d get up, hop on my bike and ride over for a fresh bear claw or a good old glazed donut – the best I’d ever had. Of course, I’d then spend the next four hours climbing myself down from the ceiling from the sugar high I’d get. Now that I’m older and more health-conscious do I worry about the effects of donuts, including the probable weight gain? Absolutely not. In fact, since moving to Portland, Oregon, more than four years ago, I’ve actually searched out the perfect donut. I’ve even found a few places. Portland is known for many fine things: a bazillion microbreweries, sustainable living, great coffee, and the nationally renowned streetcar transit system. But, can you get a good donut? Yes you can. The Best Donuts in Portland No Portland donut screed would be complete without a mention of Voodoo Doughnut. Located at 22 SW Third in the

harry PATO & the deathly PEARL donuts
Its 6.00am on a Saturday morning and the outside grounds would probably still be damp from the heavy rains that was pouring earlier. Some of the lights from the neighbouring apartments were already litted. Downstairs, at the opposite block, a wedding banquet was underway. Inside unit #03-159, there were already movements in the apartment. Pearl was taking her morning beauty spruce with her shower. Pato was getting the gears ready. There were silence apart from the eye contact and smiles. At the background, faint sounds from the radio of Warna FM94.2 could be heard. Outside, the morning cool breeze was so tempting to get us back into our bed covers and fluffy pillows. "Wouldn't it be nice to go back into bed and snuggle in comfort". These words has been playing in our minds eversince we both dragged our feet to the sound of Pato's "Ah Beng hokkien song" on his Sony Erricsson used for the alarm clock. But, a mission needs to be accomplis

Naomi Campbell + Dunkin' Donuts = Love
According to WWD, Naomi Campbell will star in Dunkin Donuts new multi-million-dollar ad campaign by trying to prove that "it's not easy being an everyday, regular suburbanite," by breaking her Prada stiletto as she tries to plant a tree. Poking fun at her old ways, she takes her frustration out by throwing the shoe into a nearby window and then hits the tree with a shovel. The 30-second commercial, created by Hill Holiday, was directed by actor Zach Braff. Pretty funny. I wonder if they asked Tyra first. Oopsie, was that mean?Photo Cred: hhcc.com

when money cannot buy you more donuts...
I wanted to write about this for a long time but never got to it - finally, I found the photos and here you go...These are a couple of signs found at the basement of Raffles City shopping centre where the F&B outlets and dozens of cool retail stores are found. You won't believe it but there is a never-ending queue at one of the little shops at the basement of this big mall called the Donut Factory.Everyday, people will be queuing just to buy one or two dozens of soft, melt-in-the-mouth donuts, a close resemblance of the famous Krispy Kreme in the US. According to my friend who works around the area, this queue never dies off until the shop closes.Well, this is when money cannot buy you more donuts... will you join the queue?

Working on a billion things. Bummed that the chance of thunderstorms passed us by after the driest winter on record. Some cool clouds blossoming up at times in other high grey while I waited 5 hours for my car to get fixed and became as close as one wants to be with a donut shop. Been mostly working on some writing and a possible project using ar and gps in exhibition as in "Immersive Sight" .Here is a quick little image I just made while taking a break. Let's hope this ad campaign does not become real soon although we are heading this way more and more now that CNN changed to a Fox clone to vie for ratings and real news officially died here in America.[tagname]

      Dunkin Donuts is kinda cheap
I’m still having problems digesting that last donut I had for breakfast after looking at this. Look at the art, the design, the masterpiece! My younger sister could have made a better toy house than this. And she’s 4 years old. She wants to be a taxidermist. Paradise Philippines Photo-Poetry 5 of 100

D is for Delicious Dunkin' Donuts!
Dunkin' Donuts supports legal immigration laws and upholding the law, and for that, we should return favor by buying some of their yummy donuts. From the Star-Ledger (Hat tip: Michelle Malkin):In April, Dunkin' Donuts filed a lawsuit in federal court asking a judge to terminate the franchise agreement it has with two stores in Central Jersey, saying the owners knowingly accepted false documents, used false Social Security numbers and paid employees in cash. The company has filed similar lawsuits seeking to sever ties with franchises in Boston, Atlanta and Florida, where it is has accused three franchises of hiring illegal immigrants. The lawsuits come a year after Dunkin’ Donuts became the most well-known corporation to enroll in Basic Pilot, a voluntary U.S. Department of Homeland Security program that allows employers to perform electronic document checks to verify that applicants are eligible to work.Under the Senate bill, the electronic verification program, currently used by les

Bitch slapper Naomi Campbell is selling Dunkin Donuts
NAOMI Campbell is pulling a Kevin Federline - making a mint off her bad reputation. Campbell shot a commercial for Dunkin’ Donuts yesterday in which she riffed on her anger-management issues. According to a spy, the script called for Campbell to “be gardening in an evening dress. Something goes wrong, she gets frustrated, and she flips out. She then takes her shoe off and throws it through a window. Next to her is a Martha Stewart type who is calm, cool and collected, thanks to her frozen Dunkin’ Donuts drink.” Earlier this year, Federline starred in a Nationwide Insurance commercial as a fry cook. source

      Cake Donuts with Coloured Rice
There's a craze about Donuts now in Singapore. Donut Shops are opening one after another and the queue for them are ridiculously long. My son loves donuts but not me, so you won't catch me queuing up just to buy 2 donuts for him. It's crazy!Anyway, we can always making our own. In fact, floggers are already making it or writing about it! Look here and here. I too am going to try too! *wink* However, anything with Yeast in it will means you have to wait of at least an hour or two unless you have a bread machine, which I don't. Soooo, I have decided to experiment making donuts without yeast instead. And voila! See my ball donuts without using yeast! But I have to confess. It tasted more like cake but it smells so nice and it taste great too! My hubby and son said it even better than the yeast Donut! Waahh ... so comforting! LOL Hmm ... I haven't given up, yet! I'll be experimenting more! So watch my blog!Ingredients:// I'm not using a scale to get the measurement because it won't

      Dunkin Donuts imita a Starbucks

      Pop-n-Fresh Donuts?
To get started I microwaved some white and milk chocolate chips (bought from any grocery store) until they were smooth. See the two bowls in the picture? We will use this to dip the donuts in later. I used an electric stove and a non-stick pan (I am sure it can be any pan) on medium heat for about 20 - 30 minutes before I got started. Tada! Yep, that's right! Here is the donut dough that I am using (CANNED BISCUITS!)...it usually comes 4 cans to a pack at around $1.50 (for the 4 pack package, so that means a possible 40 donuts for $1.50!). Now we just rub our fingers together in a circular pattern until we have a hole in the middle. Do about five of these at a time then just keep them held on your fingers. Do more than that if you get the hang of it and can fry them with enough time to flip them without burning any. Look at the following pictures below to see a 'tester' being fried up first. Because if you at least do one you will know if your oil temp is going to work for you. (and

      The Sin of Donuts
Gluttony is overrated. Can anyone explain to me why it merits a spot in the coveted Seven Deadly Sins? Sure, you get a stomach ache if you eat too many fudgcicles but a sin? I don't think so.We went to dinner last night at a tiny pizza joint. Sadly, our meal was not enough to satisfy us beasties so we left looking for another restaurant to fill the void in our bellies. My toddler suggested donuts. Adam had a coupon for "buy 1/2 dozen, get 1/2 dozen free" at Winchell's. "But we only need three.." I weakly suggested. Luckily for Adam, with our coupon fourteen donuts only cost $3.50 which was only a dollar more than buying three.Fourteen donuts it was. An amused clerk stood behind the counter dispensing donuts as quickly as we could point them out. Penny was in heaven as every donut she spotted was quickly scooped up and put in a box. Cinnamon rolls, fritters, éclairs, old fashioned, cream filled, maple bars, you name it, we got it.No one else was in the place and we sat dow
