Donovan McNabb has been setting the record straight on his shoulder. Last week he did several radio interviews to clear up the situation with his shoulder. Season one of Burn Notice is out on DVD today so I thought I’d celebrate by sharing the Q&A with Jeffrey Donovan from my set visit. Seems appropriate, no?

Donovan McNabb was at the Phillies game this week and he decided that he would take batting practice with the squad.
He took a few good swings, one of them even cleared the wall… almost and watch, he didn’t even get injured.

Last week, we mentioned that Jason Donovan will headline this summer's carnival but I thought you might like to see the official blurb that goes out for such events. It gives you the proper facts and figures. That aside, what do you reckon to the news? It's a decent middle-of-the-road act aimed at the family audience. Will you (and your family) be attending? It doesn't look much at the moment but Queens Park WILL stage the annual carnival at the end of August. Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb gave a brief interview on ESPN’s Sports Center today. He talked about the potential of getting Chad Johnson, the upcoming NFL draft, and Madden ‘09. Most of his answers were the usual politically correct statements, but one thing he said really stuck out to me.
McNabb said that he did not want the [...]

Instead of talking about how lucky the Patriots were to survive last night with their perfect record in tact, I'm going to propose a question to all the Eagles fans in the audience. Isn't it time to send Donovan McNabb out to pasture? Sure A.J. Feeley showed why he is a career backup with a very poor decision in the fourth quarter that sealed the game for the Patriots, but he still played out of his mind and I think it's safe to say that McNabb has entered the final stretch of his Eagles career.Has there ever been a situation where the starting quarterback goes down with injury, the team starts playing substantially better then they were with the starter in the game and the team doesn't even bat an eyelash bringing him back to start when the injury is over? Imagine if the Patriots did what the Eagles continue to do when Drew Bledsoe got hurt in 2001. What would the fate of the world have turned out to be without Tom Brady leading the World's Most Hated Franchise towards the greate

What seems to be a reoccurring theme, Donovan McNabb once again had to explain his comments from a recent press conference. This time he decided to do so on his Yardbarker blog: I was surprised to hear that people were saying that I am not taking blame for us being 3-5. I did say in my press conference earlier today (http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=14381) that "I'm definitely not the whole reason why we lost these games" and "I'm not fully [to] blame for everything that goes on around here."But I also said, "There are a lot of mistakes I've made. [Whether] it's throws I want back, [bad] decisions, whatever it may be, there are mistakes that I've made in every game- a lot of things that you're not used to doing, a lot of things that you know you can do better. Everybody makes mistakes. But, in this situation, there's no room for error, and that goes for each individual person. There's no room for error."I wish it were easy to find out what is going wron

Guess who has joined the dark side...Just kidding. I'm not a Philadelphia Eagles fan at all (my heart belongs with the 'Skins), but I respect and love Donovan McNabb.Welcome to the world of blogging, Mr. McNabb. His Blog: http://yardbarker.com/users/DonovanMcNabb
Eagles QB Donovan McNabb just started his own blog on Yardbarker. I think that's awesome, since he is one of my favorite athletes, and I would love to hear some of the things he has to say. Here is a video he posted of his annual Arizona trip. He looks great in it too. I think it's safe to say that he is fully recovered from the knee injury.

A pumped up George had this to say about Shay Mobleys comments, I would just like to congratulate (Shay) Mobley on his first internet interview in his seven years as a professional. more…
Donovan Stokes, one of our guests back on Contrabass Conversations #13, wrote Titanium Jr. for double bassist Ken Fuller (seen playing in this video). The piece was premiered with orchestra earlier this year. Donovan is a great composer and bassist, and I think that this piece must be a lot of fun to play. I really enjoy listening to it, as I do with Donovan's other compositions. If you'd like to check out more of Donovan's playing, you can visit him online at www.donovanstokes.com, where you can order his recordings and sheet music. You can also pick up a copy of the sheet music here.Donovan and I are planning on doing a podcast interview in the future, so stay tuned for that--I think that bassist will really enjoy it. The former Jaguar joins a stingy defense that ranked 3rd in the league last year. Although he is recovering from an ankle injury that held him to 10 games last year, he’s expected to be ready by training camp.
[full article]
<<<hotwire>>>
Although the Raiders only won 2 games last year, this defense was very good. In a 12-man league, this defense average draft position is 15.07, which makes a nice pick to plug in against weaker offensive teams.
Prior to this week, most Eagles fans didn't expect to see Donovan McNabb take the field for at least another few weeks. We hoped he'd be ready to get into the action during training camp come August. I don't think anyone expected Donovan to participate in four straight days of mini camp activities this week. McNabb, in a press conference held today at the NovaCare complex in South Philadelphia, said that he isn't rushing back.McNabb has talked with guys who have gone through similar injuries and gone through similar rehabs. From the Eagles website:McNabb said that he wanted to return to the field prior to the start of trainingcamp for a number of reasons - to see how the leg would respond and to work onchemistry and timing with his receivers. He felt that this was "the time to pushit" in terms of his rehab. After the four days of workouts, McNabb said that heis "past the point" of knowing the knee is healed. He said that he did enough togain the trust and confidence in his knee tha
By David Dorsey, Florida Today FORT MYERS — The Fort Myers Miracle will pay tribute — and poke fun at — former Orlando Magic basketball coach Billy Donovan one week from today.
At 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, the Miracle take on the Tampa Yankees at Hammond Stadium. Fans will be able to take part in “Billy Donovan Night.”

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Billy Donovan swallowed a gulp of water and then his pride, apologizing Thursday to the Orlando Magic, his family and the Florida Gators for the fiasco his abortive jump to the NBA caused.
“It was my decision to go to the Magic,” Donovan said. “It was my mistake. And I have to take responsibility for that, which I’m trying to do.”
Donovan struck a deal late Wednesday to opt out of the five-year, $27.5 million contract he signed last week with the more…
ORLANDO (AP) — Billy Donovan is out in Orlando, and his cold feet could cost both him and the Magic.
The Magic finally let Donovan out of a $5.5 million annual deal late Wednesday night after news broke days ago he was having second thoughts. Donovan may have stained a good reputation built on two straight championships at Florida.
Orlando is still coachless, and could miss out on second choice Stan Van Gundy if the Sacramento Kings hire him quickly.
The Gators coach more…
First I would like to start off with that I am now writing for Write On Sports along with TSF. My first article is up and you can locate it here: Memphis resurgence?.Now to my thoughts on Billy Donovan. This deal was very interesting, personally, I think he had to stay in the state of Florida or at least go to New York, where he's from and get the Knick job. He had to stay in Florida, so it would be the Miami Heat or Orlando Magic job or else he stays at Florida.I can see why he went there in the first place, the Magic are a young team, not to mention star Dwight Howard, along with plenty of cap room. I definitely could have seen him one day leading the Magic to an NBA Championship. When Donovan went back to a Florida press-conference I think that's what did it for him, he realized he can't believe why he is leaving. I am sure he thought to himself "how can I leave all of this behind". And that gave him second thoughts.Donovan is a great coach and now that he will be back at Florida
By John Denton, Florida Today ORLANDO — Negotiations between Billy Donovan and the Orlando Magic continued Wednesday, and a resolution that would allow Donovan out of the contract he signed with the Magic was expected as soon as Wednesday afternoon.
The Magic are seeking a non-compete clause that would ban Donovan from coaching in the NBA for five years, according to a source with knowledge of the negotiations. The five-year clause would cover the length of the five-year, more…
By John Denton, Florida Today ORLANDO — Former NBA coach Jeff Van Gundy, one of Billy Donovan’s confidants throughout his courtship and rejection of the Orlando Magic, said Donovan feels badly about the way things transpired the past five days.
Donovan accepted a deal to become the Magic’s new head coach last Thursday and was introduced to the team in a lengthy news conference on Friday. He notified the team on Saturday that he was unsure about making the leap to the NBA and more…
It looks like the NBA is stepping in to show Donovan and others who think that they can sign a contract and not honor it what happens if they decide to back out. How about a 5 year ban from the NBA. I think that something has to be done to prevent people from having [...]
From staff reports ORLANDO — With Billy Donovan on his way out of Orlando and back to the University of Florida, a jilted Magic franchise was left with thoughts of what might have been and a patchwork plan of how to pick up the pieces.
Florida athletics director Jeremy Foley would not confirm that university would allow Donovan to return as the Gators coach on advice of legal counsel.
In interviews with people familiar with the details of the last four days, here is how the more…
By Roscoe Nance, USA TODAY Billy Donovan is having second thoughts about leaving the University of Florida, where his teams won the last two NCAA men’s titles, to coach the Orlando Magic in the NBA for $27.5 million over five years.
“While Central Florida, the Orlando Magic and Billy were energized with the announcement of his contract signing on Friday, we know there was a different feeling in Gainesville and people have been tugging at him since that time,” the Magic said in a more…
It seems that Billy Donovan, the University of Floria Gators former head basketball coach, now wants to leave his new job in Orlando to return as Florida’s head coach. LOPRESTI:
Mike Lopresti’s take on Donovan’s big move
The five-year deal trumped any potential extension he was negotiating with Florida.
Donovan was the third NBA coach to be named Thursday. The Indiana Pacers hired NBA veteran more…
By Mike Lopresti, Gannett News Service Ah, Billy. Why?
Of course. Silly question. There are 27.5 million reasons why. And if you never scratch the NBA itch, you’ll always wonder what might have been. That could be you in June.
Plus, all the starters on your Florida repeat champions left town as if there was a hurricane warning. You’d be rebuilding from the basement up. Life without Joakim Noah, Corey Brewer, et al. must seem pretty scary.
But … don’t Billy Donovan and college more…
After a play-off series that went as pleasant as giving Al Davis a prostate exam, the off-season is starting to look much nicer for the Magic. Grant Hill's mammoth contract is off the books, meaning that some moves can now be made in free-agency, and today came the big splash.Reports are coming in that Billy Donovan will be accepting the head coaching job in Orlando, getting a 5-year, 27.5 million dollar contract to replace recently ousted Brian Hill. Donovan had turned down the job at Kentucky just a while back, but I guess that 27 mil was pretty hard to turn down. Some people are already saying that it's a bad move because college coaches flop in the NBA (see Pitino, Rick), but I for one like this move a lot and here are some reasons why.1. This team is a very young team and I think that Donovan would be a great guy to coach them. Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Darko, J.J. Redick, Trevor Ariza and Carlos Arroyo are all young chaps, so it's not like he's taking over the Spurs or any
By David Jones, Florida Today GAINESVILLE, Fla. — In the case of Anthony Grant, timing really could be everything.
Grant was an assistant coach under Billy Donovan for 12 years — two at Marshall and 10 at Florida — before taking his first head coaching job last season.
All Grant, 41, did was lead Virginia Commonwealth to an upset over Duke in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and a 28-win season. He’s also the logical person next in line to become Florida’s more…
DESTIN, Fla. (AP) — Florida’s Billy Donovan declined to comment Wednesday on a report that the Orlando Magic have contacted his agent in hopes of gauging his interest in becoming their next coach.

Donovan said Wednesday he had no idea whether the report was true.

From AP:Donovan McNabb had the same reaction most fans had when the Philadelphia Eagles selected quarterback Kevin Kolb with their first pick in last month’s NFL draft.”It was shocking,” McNabb said yesterday in an interview on WIP-AM radio.Speaking publicly for the first time since the draft on April 28-29, McNabb downplayed the perception he’s upset the Eagles selected his eventual successor.
The five-time Pro Bowl quarterback also said his rehab is going well following surgery for a torn knee ligament and he expects to play in the pre-season.
“When you draft somebody at the position you’re in, of course you naturally have questions,” McNabb said.
“The most important thing for me is to make sure I’m healthy and 100% and get back out there competing and do the right thing on the field.”
McNabb met with coach Andy Reid soon after the draft, but wouldn’t reveal details of their conversation.
My Take: Watching the longest
News: Tyler Donovan (564 PaYd, 4 PaTD, 2 PaINT) may have appeared the easy pick for the Wisconsin starting QB next season, but Spring Practice will have a battle brewing between Donovan and Kansas State Transfer Allan Evridge for the top spot.Fantasy College Football: Dustin Scherer (2 PaAtt, 1 PaINT) is also in the mix, but you can bet that Donovan and Evridge will get most of the looks. The early word is that Evridge, despite transferring from a mediocre program at the time, was pushed out due to a political situation and not because of a lack of talent. In addition, Donovan is not a strong thrower and the offense will need a boost with PJ Hill recovering from surgery. The pressure, and your attention, should be high on the Wisconsin QB audition this March.News via Madison.comPhoto via JSOnline.com

Your target audience's perception of your product or service is often permanent. In fact, it's one of the hardest things in the universe to change.Which is why it's crucial to make sure you get it strategically right in the first place.Donovan is a good example of this.In the mid-sixties, Donovan was Great Britain's answer to Dylan. Like Dylan, Donovan sang Woody Guthrie songs while playing guitar and harmonica at the same time. But while Dylan stayed on the A-list for over four decades (and even won a Grammy for his 2006 album), Donovan's career basically ended when the sixties ended. What happened? With such albums as Sunshine Superman, Mellow Yellow and A Gift From A Flower To A Garden, Donovan became the poster-flower child of the sixties. He cemented that perception by dressing like a flower child and joining the Beatles in India to study with the Maharishi. And when the sixties ended and his audience embraced either the harder or more progressive sounds of the seventies, they
