Swim of course!!! Well, it is a Summer Right of Passage in our House here in the Ranch for my Dogs (the three stooges) to chase Dragonfly's around our Pool. Well, Inevitable one if not two fall in every Summer. Well, of course it happened to be Jesse (the golden mix) she is our Regular Swimmer. She has lost about 15 pounds this Summer and is feeling good , so after a half hour of Barking and Chasing in she went!! Luckily my Hubby and Son were having a Swim so off to the Rescue In the "RiverRat" went the man!!! After she took it a dip it was only fair the other two had there turn so it was a Swim Fest for Dogs... Anyway they all cooled down and got brushed and Perfumed and we were all Happy. Needless to say they were all Wiped out after there chase and swim. Got a quite photo of Hubby and Elijah sitting and talking after their swim. What were they discussing? DODGERS, of course.   Saying Goodbye:Last night our lovely dog Buddy lay in the living room floor and wailed in pain. He was reacting to my daughters' sympathetic, melodic voice. He had been so brave and was always a talker. My husband would pull out the bag of dog food each evening and Buddy would begin his song of "Ri Ruv Roo" with distinguishable syllables. His tail would rotate full circle and his smile with his impressive white teeth would mouth, "hurry up and feed me" while doing his Labrador dance. Buddy was a drop off. An unwanted drop off. But, after two attempts at giving him away he was brought back for the final time and we decided he could stay. We already had Sadie, our very large Rottweiler, and Jill, our needy Australian Shepard.  We soon lost Sadie and Buddy stepped right into the role of taking care of Jill.  He became a part of our family.  We spent the evening saying goodbye.This morning:My husband, a devoted man to his family and also a

She stopped by a sports store in the San Fernando Valley to pick up a tennis racquet and some balls, stopping inside to test the thing by hitting a few air shots before she plonked down $145. Then, on the way home she hit the pet store to pick up a new puppy. No word on the name yet. Hopefully she'll do her best Cesar Milan on the poor thing and get it acquainted with the Brit pack before heading off to the court! More pics coming soon!

We are looking forward to the East Finchley Dog Show in August, we had a great time there last year - this is not just a dog event, there is also a kind of fete and we had a good look around. There was one very good trade show display by one of the dog food manufacturers and Dad said it was one of the best ones he had seen. Or maybe that opinion

During the weekend I dropped by an officemate's house to fix his computer which had been working excrutiatingly slow to the point of uselessness. Two days after his DSL service had been installed, his PC, which had nothing more than a barebone Windows XP installation, had been virtually swamped by viruses, trojans, and malware/adware. Using a broadband connection on an unprotected Windows PC can certainly do that.While reformatting would have been the easiest way to tackle the problem, there wasn't really enough time to do so. Instead, I managed to return the OS to a workable state by removing the mediocre antivirus program currently installed (actually, it didn't want to uninstall itself, so I had to muck around the registry to get rid of it) and cleaning the hard disk of viruses and malicious software using the free version of avast! antivirus and Spybot Search & Destroy.As a final touch for enhanced stability and security, I also installed Windows XP Service Pack 2.So what does t
