Dashing southpaw Yuvraj Singh has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee after being found guilty of breach of ICC's Code of Conduct during the final ODI against Pakistan here. The punishment was handed down by ICC match referee Roshan Mahanama following a hearing after the match. The charge was laid by on-field umpires Billy Doctrove and Suresh Shastri, as well as third umpire Amiesh Saheba.Yuvraj stood his ground even though umpire Shastri raised his finger. The batsman appeared to have indicated that the ball hit his shoulder rather than the bat before he started to leave the crease. At the hearing, Yuvraj pleaded not guilty to the charge and also apologised for any offence he may have caused the umpires. In reaching his decision, Mahanama took into account not only the apology but also the fact that it was the player's first appearance at a Code of Conduct hearing in eight years at international level. On that basis his punishment was downgraded to Level 1.3, ''Showing dissent at a

Cute. Hahaha Being flip about a US Soldier who scribbles all over an American Flag, is all fun and games for a jihadi blogger, (who BTW resides in N. Carolina US). A dig at America, by an ungrateful P.O.S., who does not realize how good he has it. Suburban internet jihadist.
Spit!
When a US Soldier dissents it is a good thing to the enemy, they eat it up.
BUT…When a Muslim decides against being a bloodthirsty savage jihadist, then it is off with his head.
Literally.
Below is an image depicting a beheading. It could be considered graphic. And it is. But tame compared to all others I’ve mentioned.

Al-Ekhlas Presents:Carrying out the hukm on Murtadeen
Discussions with activists from other movements of exposure of corrupt gurus are revealing. The various types of comparison between our separate experiences fall thick and fast. Those who speak out have typically and intensively undergone:
threats of injury or death
cyber and other forms of stalking
vilification, demonization, libels, character assassination
attacks on privacy and attempts at muckracking
attempts at intimidation by threats of various kinds, including those aimed at media who investigate the allegations
shunning or sometimes harassment by former fellow followers
mixed falsification and concealment by leaders to the rank-and-file of the testimony of those who have dissented
dereliction of the duty-of-care by organization leaders
gross distortions of words, intentions and actions of those who speak out
frequent branding of dissenters as ‘liars’
putting worst case interpretations on statements and situations, without considering alternative explana
Manufacturing Dissent is a topical documentary seeking to separate fact, fiction, and legend. It chronicles Michael Moore on tour during the promotion of Farenheit 9/11, all while exploring the politically charged climate in America that has prompted Moore’s ascension from documentary filmmaker to icon of the political left.

"We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. When the loyal opposition dies, I think the soul of America dies with it." -Edward R. Murrow, American Journalist, Edward R. Murrow books//
Dissenters are often viewed unfairly in a negative light; however, dissent is a very positive force that drives government and organizations to examine itself and its actions thoroughly and completely. Dissent ensures that questions are asked and answered by the powers that be. Dissent probes motives to uncover truth. Dissent is an American tradition ingrained in our society. Loyal dissent is one of the truest forms of honesty and involvement, and it should be embraced by those in positions of power or...

Yesterday, I wrote about the Michael Vick dog fighting case. Moreover, I made three simple arguments: 1) Pit bulls are not inherently evil dogs; in fact, they are great family animals; 2) Dog fighting is disgusting and Michael Vick should be punished to the fullest extent of the law; and 3) I posed the general question of why blacks are asked to defend Michael Vick and the “subculture” of dog fighting. All three are legitimate points.Conversely to Vick’s situation, white people are never asked to defend the worst elements of their Culture; there is a clear double standard. Michael Vick’s conduct had nothing to do with race, and yet race was interjected into the conversation to satisfy liberal templates. The arguments made in the original editorial were succinct, and easy enough for anyone to understand. While any reasonable person would understand the arguments, evidently, the lunatic Left who comment on our blog respond with the same nonsense only seen by liberal Professors
Its been awhile since we received a lesson from Dr. Walter Williams. In a column published yesterday he details the attacks on those who dare to challenge the assumptions behind global warming, including threats against my friend Marlo Lewis.
The following article is taken from Malaysiakini.By Andrew OngFormer premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad believes that there is an attempt by the government to curb voices of dissent on the Internet.“Yes there is an attempt. But you cannot stop people from using the Internet,” he told reporters after officiating the International Conference on Gold Dinar Economy at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur today.Mahathir said in the past, his administration would have liked to ban Internet pornography but it was “impossible” because, among others, the content was based overseas.“Same with bloggers. You can’t stop them,” he stressed.Mahathir’s comments come in the wake of growing concern among the blogging community that the government had begun a clamp down on online dissidents. On July 14, PKR staff and blogger Nathaniel Tan was remanded for four days under the Official Secrets Act 1972 and investigated by the Cyber Crimes Unit pertaining to contents on his blog.Subsequently
It gets commodified......gutted into vacuous balloon cliche and distortion in mass media, pop culture and its opposing side(s)one of the things that we now have with technology and web 2.0 is the way to purely disseminate opposing views, muckraking, investigative journalism, attempts at clarity in the face of the cyclops that increasingly is the major news outlet and this time...semiotics isn't just for art........or advertising for that matter......dissent is now seen often as the bloated corpse of previous incarnations of it....spun back deftly by those that wish to suppress it and belittle it...undercut...it is seen as disorganized, slow in reaction, reactionary, overly idealistic, biased, factionalized by pet causes, impotent and above all antiquated (ie:the familiar aging tropes of signs and liberals milling about in some unempowered and disconnected malaise)you tube.....flickr......social networks...im...rss.....feeds.....this has the potential for an immediacy, reach and org

You cannot discuss cannabis prohibition without ending up in discussions of Constitutional Law.
The basics of this article are this: The Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of limiting freedom of speech when “certain things” are being said.
The case is “the Bong Hits 4 Jesus” case.

It's interesting that people of the left complain that mean nasty John Howard is silencing them. People like Clive Hamilton and Robert Manne. I ask you, here in Victoria Australia who in the mainstream media is a right wing conservative voice? I'll tell you. Andrew Bolt, Janet Albrechtsen and Peter Faris......anyone else?
Oops, wait a minute....Speaking of Peter Faris, he has resigned from 3AW according to his blog, because "The management has made it clear to me that I have no future at their station". I find this odd being that the show that Peter featured on was the highest rating in it's time slot. I further find it odd that in other areas 3aw is falling badly, particularly in it's weekend ratings.
I find it beyond comprehension that they can find no place for Peter Faris (a seeming ratings winner) in their future plans when they seem to be scrambling for a "win".
Could it be that he was shafted for being one of the startlingly few openly conservative voices in our
I am proud to say that I have been banned from posting on the Daily Kos after my very first diary on their website. The irony is that I was banned because I submitted a diary titled, “Energy Independence: Solutions Limousine Liberals Don't Want You to Hear.” It is the exact same article I wrote on Copious Dissent, without changing any of the words. Evidently, they “really” did not want to hear it.My situation, absent the obvious violence, reminds me of when the Danish cartoonist drew a cartoon demonstrating that Muslims are violent, and then the Muslims tried to kill him for it. The funny thing is that, in my case, I was banned for outlining libertarian solutions to achieve energy independence. I guess real solutions to problems are intolerable to liberals. The only other potential explanation is that the word “Limousine” when used in front of the word “Liberal” is worse than calling George Bush a terrorist, as those comments are perfectly acceptable on the Daily Kos. Shane Warne disputed the umpire's decision
Australian bowling legend Shane Warne has been punished for dissent by the English Cricket Board (ECB).
The spinner, who retired from international cricket at the close of England's 5-0 Ashes drubbing earlier this year, was given six penalty points for his behaviour during Hampshire's County Championship match against Kent.
Warne was reported on two separate code of conduct breaches by umpires Tim Robinson and Barrie Leadbetter.
He "showed serious dissent at an umpire's word or action" and used "language or [a] gesture that is obscene or of a serious insulting nature".
The 37-year-old must not collect another three penalty points in the next two years if he wishes to avoid an automatic suspension from the game.
According to media reports the breaches concerned Warne's reaction to his dismissal leg before by Robinson.
Warne, who has trapped hundreds of hapless victims in his career, stood his ground before eventual
Democracy does not guarantee us freedom from tyranny. Venezuela is a perfect example of this reality as Chavez was elected with a decisive majority. What I find most disturbing though is not Hugo Chavez's rise to power, but the extent to which the American left seems to fawn over this dictator. These are the same folks who accuse President Bush of crushing dissent. If that is the case, why have they not suffered the same fate as their colleagues in Venezuela? The fact is that the Democrat party is an authoritarian party that seeks centralized control over all citizens. They fawn over Chavez because he possesses the type of power they themselves wish they had (and seek to attain). Unfortunately, it is Chavez’s power structure they admire and not our own.Just today, Dictator Chavez shut down an opposition-aligned television station Radio Caracas Television, RCTV, and replace it with a new state-funded channel.
Possibilities in Locative Media - an e-mail interview with Jeremy HightLocative Media - recently becoming more popular in media art discourses - has roots dating back to the dawn of history. Early myths like the Gilgamesch Epic or - more specific - Homer's Odyssey deal with issues of location and the "recording" of movement on earth's surface. Developments since then include medieval cartography as well as the Situationists approach to mapping a city. Nowadays Locative Media uses technology to trigger artworks in a specific physical space.Recently Jeremy Hight, one of the developers of the first locative narrative - "34 nort 118 west" [1] published two papers that investigate the use of locative media in different directions:In "Floating Points - Locative Media, Perspective, Flight and the International Space Station" [2] (below shortly referred to as "Floating Points") he proposes, together with the aerospace engineer Alexander Van Dijk, the use of the International Space Station in
" To silence me is to silence your smoke alarm hooping your house doesn't burn down"-- Amir SulaimanI was just watching this program on Court TV called ACLU Freedom Files: Dissent. It was pretty interesting, giving documentary style accounts of experiences with government intervention during protests and such. The dude, Amir Sulaiman, is a Muslim hip-hop poet that performed a piece on Def Poetry Jam. In this episode he tells how about a week after that performance his mother-in-law was approached by FBI agents questioning her about him and any terrorist affliation he might have. Here is a link to the piece Danger that he performed on Def PoetryAnd you can also visit his website here Amirsulaiman.com
Locative DissentJeremy Hight The landscape is the map. Our histories of panic, of dread, of the disorientation of shifts and slippages, attempted erasures: all is a map. The advent of locative media art makes this possible.. The nature of wireless signals and global position satellite data (GPS) as available in many laptops , and cell phones is that it allows information to be placed in a location in real time. The landscape can hold dissent, can reveal facts less known or even repressed in time and be accessed in a live triggered feed of important information. A protest is an event that exists physically in a single moment in a single location, or in multiple locations. The crowd disperses, and the message gets voiced as best as possible through channels of dissenting voice, sometimes in bits and pieces in the mainstream media (usually as a blip, and with lowest possible numbers reported). All of this occurs after the fact and away from the event of protest. The audio files tri
The essay "locative dissent" has just been published in the Sarai reader and in the online journal VJ theory. In locative dissent I discuss how elements of smart mobs and their technological/physical/emotional/community immediacy and locative media can create a form of protest and dissent that is far less ephemeral and with greater detail in information and a greater sense of permanence. A potential lcative project at Manzanar is also discussed as an example of locative dissent and what has been lost/erased in time. Grassroots funding can also make it possible for this to available in an information outreach to those who otherwise cannot access gps enabled phones and to further disseminate important information and allow a place, an event and witness to speak.www.sarai.net/journal/reader_06.htmlwww.vjtheory.net/texts.htm[tagname]
"It is sometimes claimed that dissent from the Magisterium is totally compatible with being a 'good Catholic' and poses no obstacle to the reception of the Sacraments. This is a grave error that challenges the teaching office of the Bishops of the United States and elsewhere." -Pope John Paul II.
